Campground is 1.5 miles from the entrance station. There is a dumpster for about every 10 campsites but many chooses not to use them for small items like bottles, bottle caps and soda cans. Lots of little trash everywhere: in the sites and along the roads. That being said, the setting is pretty. Getting into the park is tricky with access only going north on the highway. If you are coming from the south you need to pass by and come back from the next intersection. Leaving has the same issue as you can only exit to the north. Registering for a site on line does not allow you to select a full hookup site but when you arrive, you can see if a full hookup site is available. Some sites have a lake view. Covered picnic table on concrete pad, grill and lantern post. Verizon signal was strong. OTA TV picked up quite a few channels, many in Spanish. Can be a bit of a hike to restroom from some sites. Interior roads are asphalt as are the sites. Quiet at night. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park where we have stayed before. But, Site 111 was the dirtiest site we have ever encountered in our seven years camping in a rig. I was obviously not cleaned since the last several campers were here. I hope to talk with the camp management tomorrow and make them aware of the situation. Bicycling is great here with lots to see and lots of birds along the lake. There is some great hiking also... We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Entry from south is easy, but from the north, you must drive over a mile south and do a U-turn to access the entry. Major construction was in progress this month.

This is the dirtiest Texas State Park I have ever stayed in. It's not the people working here's fault. There are plenty of dumpsters around, and there are people actively picking up trash, they are just overwhelmed. It must be the clientele. If this was the first Texas State Park I went to I wouldn't go to any others, and that is a shame, all the others have been really nice. I would look for sites in the 200's and 300's, the 100 loop seems to be nosier, closer together, and more crowded. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Asphalt sites. Many near-level, but many also slope and need minor to major leveling. Electric stable. Did not hook up to water or use dump facility. Lake is large and known for good fishing. Many sites have a water view. Verizon 4G signal good. On east side of Laredo on Loop near airport. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The GPS has us turning left off of the Highway but this was changed due to many accidents. Not too far up the road is a loop to get back to the entrance. The staff was eager to help when asked. We saw no sign of litter but can imagine this could change during peak season. The park was very laid back during our stay. Sites are far apart. Hook ups were convenient. Our site was a little strange with our door facing the woods and the picnic table was behind the campsite which made it a little difficult to get to. The picnic table did have a roof which didn't help in Feb but could be a real plus in July/August. Many sites, like ours, have extra parking nearby. This is a great park in the winter. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If traveling to/from Houston, don't hesitate to take Hwy 59. It may be 2 lane but is scenic and easily traveled.

This Park is on Loop 20 in Laredo, just down the road from the airport. Pros: There are good, paved (chip seal) roads and sites. Sites are roomy, with water & electric (some with sewer). Good lake access for fishing from the bank, including a fishing pier. Cons: The Park is hilly, and many sites require extensive leveling. Also, there was lots of trash scattered around - Raccoons had a party every night. You can only turn right (north) out of the Park, and its difficult to find a good turn-around. However, we would stay again if passing through the area. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely park BUT cleanliness of sites almost non-existent. My husband spent an hour picking up trash for an hour in our campsite. We had English OTA tv for 2 stations. CBS and Fox. 13.1 and 35. Cell service for Verizon and AT&T good. The view of the lake from Site 113 was great. We camped in aa 36' motor home. We would definitely come here again. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. Good over the air TV signal. Water pressure is a little low at 60 psi. 2-3 bars on Verizon. Each site comes with a fire pit and picnic table under shelter. Most of the sites are un-level. This is a large state park. It is the only place to stay in the area. Centrally located. The staff is friendly but they are under staffed causing LONG lines to enter the park. On Sunday the back up to the enterence of the park was .4 miles long. It was that way for a couple of hours. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed in at least a half dozen TX state parks before and this one was rather disappointing mainly because the sites were full of trash. We picked up a garbage bag full at our site alone! Other than that it was ok. We had an E/W pull thru with a partial view of the water. No access to the lake I could see without driving. Sites differ in size and most look like they would need a lot of leveling although ours was ok. Utilities worked fine. Didn't use the facilities so no comment. Would stay again if we had to stay in the area but hated Laredo because traffic was awful, signage was terrible, the roads were all torn up and it was very difficult to find places to turn around. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Truck Camper.

Not a bad campground if in the Laredo area. We had water & sewer only with 50 amp service. Roads and sites are paved and well spaced. Cell phones and Verizon wifi worked good. It was $18/night. It was quiet here and not many campers this time of the year. Would stay here again. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

When you leave the campground you can only turn right, north. If you want to go left you have to turn right and drive up to the airport and make a u-turn. South of the campground has lots of shopping but looks like the older part of Laredo. North of the campground also has a lot of shopping but looks newer.

Lake Casa Blanca International State Park is in Laredo, TX. We stayed in full hook-up site 102 for $21/night. Asphalt pads. Some sites have lake views and access. Walmart nearby. Nice park. Exit to park exits to main road traveling north. Requires a U turn a few miles away if needing to head south. Would stay here again. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrived on Sunday afternoon and found it to be a very busy local hangout with cars and trucks (and LOUD music) riding up and down the roads and into the camping area. Apparently it is OK to ride through the park with enough bass to make RV sides vibrate. Signs point out there is NO picnicking on numbered sites - but it apparently is not enforced as we had groups with no indication of site fees paid move into the area with 5-6 cars per site, music blaring, people stopping in the street, etc. This went on until 8:00-9:00 p.m., then everyone cleared out and it was quiet. I was uneasy just because there were so many people driving in and out of the camping area. IMHO I think this park ($18 a night for water/electric) is a nice park but we would not come on the weekend. I think there needs to be some serious cleaning around the lake and in the sites - ours had beer tops, cigarette butts, and parts of water balloons all over it. Noticed a lot of trash around the shoreline which really makes it look messy. Potential to be a really nice park with large sites, covered picnic tables, etc. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

$21 per night was for a full hookup site. In addition, a daily entrance fee of $4 per person is charged unless you have a $70 Texas State Parks Pass, which is good to cover entry fee to all state parks for one year. Dirt/sand sites are mostly level with asphalt pads for parking. Each site has a covered concrete pad with a picnic table in addition to the fire ring and BBQ grill. Heavy vegetation surrounds each site. There are many types of water birds around the lake. The park is slightly NE of Laredo proper so there is every convenience available in the large town. If you like hiking/biking there are trails within the park and roadways outside the park. Fishing/boating is available on Lake Casa Blanca. The park has naturalists who host scheduled activities on the weekends including nature hikes, bird walks, easy mountain biking, and Geocaching. Spacing between the sites is very generous. We received four bars LTE on our AT&T cell phone. We used our Millenicom jetpack as a Wi-Fi hotspot and it worked very well on four bars of Verizon LTE. There is Wi-Fi at the office, which is one and half miles from the campground. There is Wi-Fi in the campground but it was very slow. We received four English OTA TV station and several more in Spanish. We camped at Lake Casa Blanca Intl. State Park in a Motorhome.
