First, did not stay overnight. First drive-up impression was bad, closer look came up worse. About 5-6 campers around, most older than 10-15 years of age and not especially well-maintained. Sites were unlevel, several could not be driven thru due to dropoff at end. Many power pedestals were pushed/fallen over. Only one of the 50a pedestals I looked at was not damaged somehow. It appears that attempts to re-wire the CG are in progress as the sites had power cables sticking out of the ground from a conduit. Hard to get into, out of due to unlevel area. Maybe I did not find the same CG the other posters were at, but I would not stay at this place for free. The City of Linden should be ashamed for claiming this CG as a Municipal Park. If there is a time restriction, the rest of the campers seemed to be long-term. Again, maybe I was at the wrong CG, but this one is a ZERO on my scale. Narrow road in and uphill; some sites that are 'pull-thru' can't be negotiated by a large fiver due to dropoffs at front of site. Back part of CG is dirt and muddy, rest of CG is crushed used pavement. We camped at Linden City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a gravel parking lot with hookups. Great for overnight if you are traveling instead of a Wal mart. The city park is by the lot and is well kept. We have stayed here twice. The only problem we had was we needed to pay in town which was several blocks away and we don't unhook. We camped at Linden City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Traveling on SR59 Linden city park is about 40 miles south of Texarkana. This is a municipal owned RV park. We have a 45' coach & no problems navigating the park. Most sites are pull-thrus, but there are back-in sites also. Each site has 50/30/20 amp electric, city water (tasted good too), and sewer. The sign says 1 night only, but we stayed 2 nites to explore the area. Very small town w/ 1 or 2 restaurants & a Dairy Queen. We dined at Uncle Juan's Mexican Restaurant and had a great dinner. RV Park is across the street from an elementary school, but no children walked thru the park. A city owned recreation park with swings is nearby. Behind the restrooms is a nice concrete walking trail. The restrooms were very clean & did have showers. The surface of the RV park was broken asphalt, but driveable with no problems. Electric voltage was excellent as a new power transformer is adjacent to the main breakers. No fire rings or picnic tables, but for $15.00 nite, a good bargain! We would definitely camp here again. We camped at Linden City Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stumbled across this park using the GoodSam Trip Planner. Wanting to avoid Dallas in our trip back down to South Central Texas, we opted to travel on Hwy 59. We normally would stay in a Wal-mart parking lot, but the temps caused us to look for an inexpensive option that would give us AC for the night. This was perfect for that purpose.

We were greeted by the lady who wrote the grant for the park. The area for the RVs is basically a large gravel parking lot with utilities available for each site. Only a couple of spots have trees.

The park include nicely paved walk ways with exercise stations. The restrooms and showers were clean enough.

For us, this would not be a destination spot, but this was a great place to set up for the night. We camped at Linden City Park in a Fifth Wheel.
