We full time in our RV. We work or volunteer. This is our vacation spot. We come here for a month a couple/three times a year to shut down for a month. A nice friendly park and staff. Dog park we use. The other amenities we don't. For $360 a month plus electricity, you can't beat it. It is a Winter stop over for many Winter Texans. You need a satellite and a cell phone to enjoy your stay. Also, we use the mail forwarding service for Escapees and they do a great job. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Travel Trailer.

It has been a year since we stayed here. Things are pretty much the same as last year except that there seemed to be less activities. I was told there is no activity coordinator so no one to organize things. People are friendly here, the sites are adequate. Picnic tables are still old and there is no free wifi or cable tv. As Escapees members we would still come here as we use the mail service and we believe the Care Center is a great idea. Not the nicest Escapees park, but we will always support the organization. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The value here comes from the rate for escapee members and the friendly people. Definitely showing it's age. Would not go out of way to stop here but would if passing through. Slow check-in. Was wondering if they were also going to need parents and children's names, DOB and phone number. Enjoyed the ice cream social. In consideration that this is the headquarters for the Escapees Club I would expect a top-notch RV park. I was very surprised. Over the years, since the start of the Escapees Club, this park has been added on and added on. As a result it is a mish-mosh of deeded lots where people have built houses or built buildings around their RV's and RV sites. Our site was okay - a pull-through - but there were ant hills and unmowed grass. The park has a pool, a nice club house, and a care center for the elderly. My biggest disappointment was there was no cable and the WiFi that was available is a pay-as-you-go by the local WiFi supplier in town. Not having cable was really a problem. The stations were obviously coming from Houston which is some distance from Livingston so the shows would pixelate and lose signal often (and we have a King Jack antenna). If this park was NOT the home base for the Escapees Club I might not have been so disappointed, but I found it a big let-down to find the headquarters' RV park so wanting. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our first time to stay at this park, we had visited the Escapee Headquarters previously. We were rather disappointed at how the park looks. Everything utility-wise worked fine, but the park just appears to look rundown. I don't know if it is how close the sites are and how short they are that everyone has to park "T" to their camper and it makes it just looked jammed in or if it is just that so many of the rigs themselves looked rundown, but we just weren't impressed. The people are friendly. We had several stop by and talk to us. The laundry was very clean and cheap at $1.25/load. The person checking us in seemed rather rude, but when we stopped to inquire about their mail service we had the same reception since we stopped there not knowing the headquarters was at a different spot. Proud to be an Escapees member but sure expected a better looking park. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older park, and the upkeep is not what I expected. The sites were fine, and utilities were good and positioned good. With that said, the people are what makes this park, they were so friendly. Lots of activities if you are so inclined. If you are an escapee, you need to experience this park. We stayed at Rainbows End Escapees Park for a couple of nights. Great value at $23/night with full hook-ups. Older park with gravel sites. Livingston is a few miles away with fuel, groceries, restaurants and Walmart. We would stay here again. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed a couple of nights to take the tour of the mail service and the CARE program. Site was NOT level, but ok for our stay. Other sites looked worse. Plenty of room for towed. Roads and pad are gravel. Park was mostly quiet, only noise was from a nearby state highway which quieted down at night. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed in Site 123. The good about the site, it had a lot of shade in the afternoon. The bad about the site, the trees blocked satellite reception for my dish mounted on the forward roof of the motor home. Site was a back in site. No free WiFi. You can pay for WiFi if you choose. Verizon service was 2 to 3 bars. Interior roads were kind of narrow. There is a fenced dog area near the check in office. Water pressure was good. Nice laundry facility with 4 washers and 4 dryers. One washer and one dryer were not working during my stay. Office personnel are kind of "grumpy" when dealing with them. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Site was level and easy to back into. We were in the Oaks section. We arrived during a period of heavy rains and the grounds were saturated. Our site had gravel we were able to park and level the trailer. The park is older and many sites show their age with grass growing in between the gravel. Even as an older park many areas appear to be well maintained. Once the rain ended there were people out mowing grass and trimming. Water, electric, and sewer worked well. The location was excellent for our needs as we were in the process of changing residency and getting set up for full-time. This is a good place for longer stays or overnight depending on your needs. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

After reading all of the reviews, I had low expectations of this park; my expectations were barely met. This is the headquarters for Escapees; it should be the showcase for Escapee Parks. Rather, the park is dated; picnic tables in poor condition, lack of cable tv, poor antenna reception. You must pay for wifi. I would have been happy if it was Tengo. Wifi is through the local phone company. After paying $15 for the week for wifi (one device per paym't), I was annoyed to find it barely functioned. The positive of this park are the friendly people and the level (gravel pads) sites. The grass was mowed. Also, AT&T cell phone service was rather poor (not the park's fault). We heard Verizon service was great. We stayed here for a week. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older adequate park, we were here to visit with a couple of RV friends. The utilities all worked OK the 2 nights we were here. The pull through site was gravel as were the roads (some were paved). No trees so the rooftop dish worked well as did the OTA antenna. Verizon voice and hotspot worked well too. We have been here a few times but this time there were thousands of caterpillars also. We were in an open area so didn't get the worst of them. Office staff was helpful when we had to modify our length of stay. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the first Escapees park and also the Escapees headquarters. We stayed here as we have family in Houston and we had a package to pick up through the Escapees mail service. I agree with others that the park is dated. The sites are grass and gravel, pull through or back-in. The picnic tables are worn looking, there is no cable and poor antenna reception, wifi is available for a daily $3 fee or $15 weekly fee. Some of the sites are long-term, some are for the care center users. But what makes up for all this is that everyone we met was friendly, there is an evening social at the clubhouse, breakfast at the Care Center that benefits the Care Center and a thrift store that does the same. We highly recommend the onsite smart weigh service to weigh your rig/tow vehicle for $55. This was done by a very professional person who stresses safety. There is a pool and activity center, a book exchange, free movie rental, line dancing classes, exercise classes, lots of information about RV living. We use the mail service which has been efficient. While we were there there were lots of caterpillars, but I am sure this was due to the time of year. Overall we had a good experience and would stay here again. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is going downhill fast! We have stayed here numerous times over the years and have witnessed it going from a "good park" to a "OK park." During our stay here this time, the water has been off numerous times without any warning (so keep you fresh water full!). Construction noise is pretty constant now. We have seen several "guests?" living out of their cars, and many vicious small dogs in constant attack mode! Barking dogs are the "normal" sound after dark, along with gun shots during the weekends. We don't feel safe here any longer! We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Travel Trailer.

I agree with some of the other reviewers, we were expecting more from "escapees headquarters." It also reminded us of a 70's campground with very limited space between sites. We were here to basically check out the care facility and also spend time with friends who were here. All the utilities worked fine. Trees could be an issue, as one touched our awning. We did not complain so I'll not say we were dissatisfied. However, I would never want to park under another one here. The squirrels had a hayday jumping on our roof and into the trees.

All in all, we were a bit disappointed in this park, for all the room they have here, I guess we expected something a bit more spacious, especially as far as the sites were concerned. Picnic table old and nasty, never used. Livingston is a nice little town, but there is limited amounts of things to do in the area. We would only return when passing through the area. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.
