Overall Rating:

This is a great located park in Lubbock. It has quite a few long term residences but every site is well kept so that should not scare you off. One important thing to keep in mind is Lubbock is a college town and Fridays and Saturdays during football season will be booked solid for all home games. We needed to leave on Friday because of this. We didn't give it a perfect score only because both the electric and water are very close to the ground making connections difficult. If your electrical cord or surge protector doesn't bend well you may have a problem. If you don't bend well the water connection being 8" off the ground will have you taking a knee. The pull thru sites are quite long but they are half gravel half concrete. When you pull up onto the concrete pad to align with connections you will have unhitch (5th Wheel) but there is plenty of space on the side or behind your trailer to park tow vehicle. Motorhomes with toads will not have issues because the sites favor them. We will consider this park first on any trip to Lubbock. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We gave the park a 5 rating because of it's location... had it been in a less convenient location, we'd give it a 3. WiFi was terrible and when we mentioned it, the owner said "good luck if you can get it... some people have to go outside their coach to get it...". The electrical box was almost at ground level which meant we couldn't use our surge guard without it laying on the ground and it rained hard 2 of the days we were there. The park was clean but crowded, not difficult to maneuver into the site. Laundry facilities were clean (4 washers, 4 dryers). Site was level but concrete pad was badly cracked. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Easy access into the park and the roads in the park are nice and wide. Check in was fast and friendly. There are 95 sites, a mix of pull-through and back in, all paved. They are about average width. We were in Site 14 which was level with full hook ups and 50 amp electric, no issues with the hook-ups. The site was just long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. The laundry room and restrooms were very clean, and there is a sitting area outside the laundry room with a TV. There is some road noise as you are just off of Loop 289, but not as bad as we expected. WiFi was poor and our Verizon signal was strong. Not much place to walk the dog without being on someone's site. We stayed from October 29-31, 2017 and paid $30.00 a night with their cash/check rate. $33.00 if paying with a credit card. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very basic RV park close to Lubbock. Pads concrete road easy enough to navigate. Electric 125v. Good water pressure. Some electric boxes very close to ground, if you have a surge protector you will need a small pigtail. Staff very friendly. Many full timers here, but park is maintained and people were very nice. Lots of eating places in the area some within walking distance. Sam's Club for gassers to fill up close. Walmart close. Various sites are shaded. Our site 18 was long enough not to unhook toad. Site 18 also has sat access. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signals. No park cable, many over the air stations. Wifi works only near office. Some road noise. Good place to stop for Lubbock or overnight. Would stay here again. We were here in our Motorhome 36' with toad. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Concrete roads, concrete pads, gravel area with picnic table. Off the 289 Loop so there is traffic noise, not disruptive. Staff are friendly. Daily ground maintenance done.

We called ahead to verify availability for the night and was told to come on, no reservation needed. On arrival the man running the office was friendly and efficient. We didn't want to unhook and he showed us where there were a few restaurants within walking distance. The site was near the office and effectively shielded us from the highway noise which is probably not a problem anywhere in the park. Wifi worked well and several tv stations were easily found with the roof top antenna. We would definitely stop here again when passing through. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Modern park right in town. Check in was quick and very easy to get to our site, which was under a nice shade tree. Site was a pull thru, was level and was super long. Park is right next to a major highway but noise did not bother us. There was a lot of permanent rigs in the park but everyone was nice and quite. All in all, a very nice park at an excellent price. I would stay here again. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Concrete pads with full hook-ups. Picnic tables provided. Some shaded areas. Close to loop so traffic can be heard, depending upon which area of park you are located. Well maintained. So, I made reservations 60 days out. They did not have those upon arrival. There was a softball tourney in town & park was full. Attendant acted as if he was doing me a favor finding a spot.

There are other parks around. Find one of those. I will not stay here again and do not recommend even as a stop-over. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The owners were pleasant and recommended attractions that are not highlighted in the tourist books.

Although we didn't use any of the facilities the park appeared to be very well maintained. The lots, although narrow, are level and paved. We had a pull-through site and had no difficulty in or out. Sites had a picnic table but no fire ring. There was no shade.

However, the park is next to a very busy frontage road to a very busy highway and was extremely noisy all afternoon, evening, and night. Also, park is next to a large mall. For that reason we decided to move on after one night and to give an average review. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
