We stayed here 4 nights, and really enjoyed our stay. The lady in the office (Kate?.....super nice lady with British accent) was friendly and efficient.....we arrived when she had gone to lunch and left our paperwork on the door for us. :-). Our site was long and level, and we had a clear shot of the sky for satellite. Utilities worked as they should. There is a nice pool and access to the river should you want to canoe, kayak or tube. Luling is a cute little town....make sure to go to the Oil Patch museum and the Mill. We went to Black's BBQ in nearby Lockhart for the BEST brisket we have ever tasted. We would definitely return if in the area......highly recommend. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This was an overnight stop just off I10. The pull through site was in the open so the rooftop dish and OTA antenna worked well. Verizon voice and hotspot also worked well. The utilities also worked well. When making the reservation the lady in the office called us back promptly when we didn't even give our number, she was excellent and was ready for us when we arrived. We have stayed here before and this has been a consistent great overnight or couple day park. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
If you like chicken fried steak or chicken visit Blakes restaurant downtown Luling. Buckee's is an interesting fuel stop and party plus store one exit east, semis are not allowed and there are tons of fuel pumps. Go inside and explore. Very fast checkouts too.

Second time staying here. Less full time workers living here because of the downturn in oil production. There is a working horse race training track next to the park. We were fortunate to have a view out our window and be able to watch their horse running the track each morning. Lot's of grass, clean and cheap laundry. Good electricity, water and sewer hookups. Pull throughs were extra long. Very pretty park with nice views. The San Marcos River runs next to the park. We will come back to this great park. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
BBQ is king around here! Luling has City Market and nearby Lockhart has Smitty's Market, Kreuz's Market, Blacks BBQ and for the value conscience there is always Chisholm Trail BBQ.

This is a very pleasant rural campground which is an easy distance from Interstate 10 -- close enough to be an easy drive, but far enough away to eliminate highway noise. The drive-through sites are easy to get in and out of. The sites were unpaved and reasonably level. All the hookups worked ok. We stayed at this park several years ago, and would gladly stay here again. The campground is about an hour drive east of San Antonio. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy on/off Interstate but far enough away that noise is not a problem. A little tight turning in for big rigs but manageable, gravel throughout. WiFi was weak and went on and off while we were there. A lot of workers in the park left very early each morning. Ppark was nice and neat but not any other services to speak of. A good overnight spot for travelers. Lady at front desk who was the owner went out of her way to be nice. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Electric depending on the site you are assigned. Some have only 50a, some have only 30a. Sewer and water are from the city and water pressure is high @ 80psi. Wi-Fi weak. AT&T Cell Phone Good. AT&T Air Card is weak compared to the Verizon 4G LTE Air Card which is very good. No Cable. Site close to level. Sites are fairly Close but wide enough to put out awnings. Would like a bit more room. Roads are dirt with some gravel. Restrooms are nice and are generally clean. Laundry has plenty of washers and dryers at $1 each. There are long term tenants that stay here but sites are neat and clean. DirecTV Satellite no problem from most sites. Discounts 50% Escapees and Passport America. Credit Card accepted. There was a tree branch that I was concerned about and they came right out and trimmed the tree and were very friendly. There also is a private horse racing track next door and you can watch them run the horses about 9am in the morning. If you do travel with a horse you can stable the horse here for the night also. This park is pet friendly and they have lots of room to walk your pet. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Check out the pump jack art around town. See the tiny houses that are near by off the interstate. This a nice town that has a lot of history..

Price reflects Passport America weekday discount. Office personnel were pleasant and helpful. Long gravel pull thru site was level and partly shaded but not interfering with our roof mounted satellite receiver. Verizon worked well. Connections were not conveniently located with the tow, but we enjoyed our overnight stay. Would stay again. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park with friendly staff. Our site was a pull through long enough for most any length rig, and pretty level too. The interior roads including the sites were hard packed gravel and each site has a grass area inbetween the next neighbor. I saw many picknic tables, and right next to the park that is easily visible is a horse race track they use for practice racing. The park is not far off I-10 but no road noise heard on our stay. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park with ammenities that include a kitchen with refer space and cooking appliances, books and videos, and a picturesque walking area. There is a logging landing or something across the street, though, so noise is an issue during the day. Twilight was wonderful after a long time ng day on the road, and the host was as friendly as could be. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
The host provided a welcome kit with information about a variety of local attractions, including museums, historic sites, shopping, dining, etc.

The campground has a bit of everything, from a river (the San Marcos, with several bends) to volleyball net, catch-and-release pond to small swimming pool. Select exit path with care to avoid low trees. Didn't see trash other reviewers noted. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
Luling BBQ short distance in town highly recommended over another nearby but closes at 6 p.m.

This is our 3rd stay at River Bend. The main reason to stay is the price and the location. Definitely less expensive and safer than San Antonio and the two barbeque joints in town are yummy. Also the lady in the office is so nice and helpful. One drawback is the number of oil field workers in the camp. They are long term tenants but they are not tidy. Our site was littered with pull tabs from drink cans, cigarette buts and other things. Obviously the management does not make them pick up after themselves. In the past we have enjoyed the pull thru sites that overlooked the horse track next to the rv park but they were already occupied this time. We will stay here again. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Be sure and try the two barbeques places in town and explore the old mill by the river. In the summer months there is rafting on the river that goes through the park.

Cute park with a lot of full time residents. There were only a few sites available for overnight stays. Sites were level and our 42 ft. motorhome fit with room for the towed. On exit, there are low hanging limbs and vehicles parked on the road made it hard to get out. We also had to pay $10 for our friends to come visit. I can see paying in the summer, but not the winter for an hour long visit. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is loaded with potential, yet, what is potential, unrealized level of what could be a nice little lark. This park is full of permanent residence, lots of oil field workers and welders. Didn't have a single problem with any of them, just so you are aware. The restroom/showers were clean. And yes, there is an adjacent training track for race horses...Big Deal (sarcasm). The pool, although on the small side was nice but the reason that we were drawn to this place is that it is located on the banks of the San Marcos River. River access is just OK, and you only have a stretch of swimmable river of about 50 yards. Trees, stumps and other river trash prevents you from really enjoying the river further down. We did find a nice spot of river close by though. When you are leaving the RV park turn right and drive about a mile and a half and you will come upon a park (city), free of charge, where there is great river access, a rope swing and much better water free of debris. If they would cleanup their section of the river, this place could shine. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here only one night on our way thru TX. The bath house was very clean. We had to back in. It can be a tight fit on most of the spots. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Paid the Passport rate. We had site 24, a 30 amp pull through FHU. It was gravel and very level with grass between sites. The Wi-Fi was unusable, but Verizon broadband was very good at 4G and TV via bat-wing was also very good. We had stations out of both Austin and San Antonio. Our site was at the end of the row and we had nice views of a horse race track and stables behind that. A nice valley setting. Dust may be an issue at times, but everyone seemed to obey the 5 MPH. Only minor problem was the slow dumping of our tanks. Their system is pretty full. It was a nice stay and a good value. Downtown San Antonio is an hour drive during the day. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
