3 RV Parks near Madisonville, Texas
Nov 2016 - $33.00
This is a rustic RV place. Good for a one night layover during your travels. That's about it, really. Our neighbors sewer hook up was right next to our outdoor living area. One night when the wind was coming from the south we did have a sewer smell and moved inside. There are picnic tables, but no fire rings. Need to consider this is South TX and there is a drought. We were self contained and I am appreciative of that. Looks like there are a few people living onsite in this place. This place is in need of attention. I would like to see them make a go of it. It is very inexpensive which was nice. $120 for 4 nights. We stayed there to be by our daughter for Thanksgiving. Otherwise, 4 nights or maybe even 2 nights might be a bit much. I wish them the best. - JMCherry
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Facilities being worked on. Sites are on dirt and gravel. Need some one to show you to site as they are random. Would not want to stay if raining. Staff nice. Dogs and chickens running around. Did not complain as didn't bother me. resturant on site. Did not eat, but lots of locals did. - fletch460
Nov 2015 - $25.00
Spent one night, we were met and directed to our site by a gentlemen who gave my wife some bread pudding that they make for Texas customers. It was by far the best thing that happened to us here. The site was dirt and level. The grounds were muddy and there was a stench of sewage that was prevalent that evening over the entire area. We stayed and left early the next morning. This is one that I will avoid on my next trip. - Dieselrv08
Nov 2017 - $15.00
Park is pleasant enough, certainly away from any noise makers (trains, industry, highways etc...). Facilities are showing age, grounds could be kept nicer, but park is generally clean. Heavily wooded, good setting but not good for tv dishes. Gravel sites need attention or refurbishing to get closer to level. Some permanent residents but no slippage is apparent. Fire ring (piece of a barrel) needed replaced. Railroad ties marking site were busted up. - Bossgreen
Mar 2016 - $17.00
This is a fairly rustic rv park with lots of trees. The restrooms/showers are older but clean and adequate. The sites are not perfectly level but close enough. We stay here when visiting friends who live in Hilltop Lakes and will do so again. Our site, 32, was excellent for satellite reception. - golfkitty
Jan 2012 - $30.00
Stayed there for a couple of weeks. Very quiet except on weekends; it then turns into a deer hunting camp with large campfires, loud talking late at night, and bathrooms left a mess. Found a very large pile of chewing tobacco in shower. Wi-Fi was very weak and slow. No cell phone service for AT&T and Sprint. Grass burrs everywhere. Everyone drives fast through park, even security! Sorry can't come back! - CitizensReflect
