Apparently this park has ceased to exist - User1650
Feb 2013 - $29.00
Park is nice and quiet and the staff is friendly. It is showing it's age but everything worked. There are a lot of permanent residents some of which are a bit trashy. Wi-Fi worked great. Road to the park is narrow so watch yourself. Showers are large and work good. Pool is clean but small. Would stay again. - Brian & Corky
Sep 2012 - $18.00
We did the monthly rate as we had planned on staying longer. Says Wi-Fi available but only close to the office/Laundry, it is not reachable to the RV sites. Our site was right on the lake. Very beautiful!! Wish we could have stayed longer. Country setting but close to town and shopping. - pittstl
Apr 2015 - $35.00
Horrible. This place has apparently gone downhill in the last few years. Right next to a noisy highway. Upkeep was okay, but not very good. They say they have Internet, but it's not usable or reliable. And the owners don't really care. My suggestion: find someplace better. - JosephPT
Oct 2009 - $25.00
As other reviewers have stated this is a nice older park with wide sites. Owners are nice and friendly. Sites are level concrete with paved roads. Our site had a broken outbuilding and some debris from previous campers, but overall it was a nice place to stay. We would stay again. - BigRigTravelerUSA
Feb 2009 - $9.00
Nice older park with plenty of room between the sites. Really meant for long term as most of the ones are used as such. Nothing really wrong with the park unless you are looking for frills. There are no restrooms, showers, laundromat or pool. That is OK with us as we have all the facilities we need in our trailer. It is very quiet there and served our purpose very well. - zrxh14
Jan 2017 - $15.00
Do your research on this place! It sits directly next to the Pearland Landfill. In the morning you get a nice aroma of something that I can not describe. They boast about the oak trees here, hence the name Oak hollow, but do nothing for the termites that swarm and will obliterate any wood or partial wood surface. The wildlife is nice, the raccoons will chew through the bottom of your trailer and wiring to gain access. They do nothing for the out of control wildlife. They are adding more trailer spots with nice curbs and driveways, but the drainage has been affected and there is no water retention area.So when it rains and the Cowarts Creek gets full (light rain fills it), you are under water here. Beware! - JohnCoffee
Jul 2016 - $30.00
We have been camping In a 35' Motor Home at Oak Hollow RV Park since 10/14/2013. We commit to our site by the year so we can travel and have it when we return.
My wife and I have camped at hundreds of SP, COE and Campgrounds in the USA, Canada, and Alaska. We have camped at Resorts to Boom docking. We are members of PPA, C2C, and GS.
Oak Hollow RV Park may not be the biggest or have the most amities. But three years ago there were about 12 RV sites now it is around 70 RV sites. The owner is adding sites almost every week. The new ones are all level concrete with water, 50 amp. electric and sewer.
There are lots of trees for shade and birds to enjoy. We rate Oak Hollow RV a 8.0 when the Laundry room in finished our rating will go up to 9.0. - Goldwinger
Feb 2017 - $54.00
We have stayed here numerous times in past. Many, many full time residents, many towables and trailers. Spotless clean park, very friendly staff, very well maintained. Sites are very close together and concrete pads are not all level. The area for short term stays is very close to freeway, where there is lots of traffic noise. The park has a lovely rec area, excercise room, pool, game area with large selection of books and magazines. Shopping of all kinds is close by. Strong wifi, cable and power. - Oooooooo
Jan 2017 - $60.00
Place is set up nice. A little noise but what do you expect for the location. I was pleased with the staff and its a safe place. - JohnCoffee
Oct 2016 - $66.00
One of my favorite RV resorts BUT like many after a few years is headed downhill. Many long termers starting to store "stuff" around their sites, so many extra cars and trucks it's hard to navigate at times, and junky rigs. Landscaping used to be beautiful, now its minimal. Pool deck has not been repaired and other maintenance issues. No scheduled activities like they used to have. But the pool is still heated and the showers are spotless! - Youandmebabe
Jan 2005 - $36.00
This is a mobile home park that will rent spaces to R.V. campers. The park is fairly dated, but kept clean and the staff is excellent. Located beside Hobby Airport, its a short drive to downtown Houston and all its attractions. Will visit again. - txtransplants
Jun 2011 - $20.00
Nice country park in the middle of rice farming. The park has a nice 9 hole course that we played 3 times. The course has a few water hazards but no sand traps at all. The company runs a crop dusting service and they start flying at first light, so you have a nice alarm clock. The site we had was a level pull-through with gravel and grass. They have creative pricing for weekly stays. You get 7 days and 6 nights for your weekly rate that cost $5 more than 6 nights. Go figure. I'd stay here again but would opt out of the weekly rate and save the $5 next time. - Bill Bell
Apr 2010 - $18.00
Can’t believe this park hasn’t been reviewed since 2006. Small park, with mostly long-term residents but well kept. The pull-through we were in was long enough for our 40’ coach with room to spare. All sites are rock with grassy area. Most have picnic tables. All are full-hook-up with 50 Amp service. Some trees but they do not interfere with the spaces. No longer have Wi-Fi or free washers/dryers and adjacent golf course is only 9 holes. Management is very friendly and helpful. Being out in the country, it is very quite. Good reception for both AT&T cell and Verizon wireless mobile broadband. Golf course can play tough when the wind is blowing, which according to our neighbors who have been here for a couple months, it almost always does. Being golfers, would definitely stay here again. - rvtravler2009
Jul 2006 - $15.00
Park is out in the country, about 3 miles north of TX35, just outside Danbury. It is surrounded by a huge rice farm and next door to an 18 hole golf course. There are 8 pull-thrus and 15 back-ins. The pull-thrus are pretty short and the back-ins are really long (easy to park two cars in front of coach). All sites are full hookup with 50 amp service. Sites are gravel surrounded by grass and nicely maintained. Back-ins sites all have a picnic table beside them. Most sites are filled with long-termers. Trees around the edge but not by the sites. Nice views and friendly hosts. Two fishing ponds and a creek runs by the north side. Pet friendly if you keep them on a lease and pick up their "leavings." Free WiFi and two free washers & dryers and free showers. Rates are $15/87.50/350 and all inclusive. We stayed here in a 40 ft motorhome for 2 months in 2006. - r.boylan
Nov 2016 - $29.00
Stayed for a month; rate reflects monthly discount. Very easy access in the park with our extra large sized 40'+ big rig RV. Some traffic noise at night. Blacktop roads and concrete pads throughout. Park is very well landscaped with a beautiful pool and hot tub area although the hot tub was filthy with debris for the duration of our stay. Great AT&T signal. Satellite signal available at most sites. We would stay again. - Snidely Whiplash
Nov 2016 - $58.00
Very nice and helpful staff. Nice looking RV Park - several long termers here with their belongings stashed under their RV's.
We are experienced RV'ers and appreciate being able to setup quickly without hassles, but 3 things irked us.
1. The hookups for the black and gray dumps are on very flat concrete - not dished as you would expect and it was almost impossible to screw them in easily. Whoever setup the park had no idea what they were doing.
2. The trash is a 1/4 mile walk from the back of the rv park - have left mine at the rear of the RV and will dump it during the next drive out
3. In this day and age of internet being an essential utility, it is half the speed you can get from a cellphone. Slow and crappy and forces you to login periodically, so a reliable constant connection is unavailable. Plus, all the rules of no streaming movies etc only email and web and the threat of blocking you. Hello? Felt like 1990's and a dial up modem all over again. Needs decent Internet desperately and efforts would be better pointed at providing it rather than policing their crappy Tengo Internet. Side bar: we have always had bad experiences with Tengo Internet. Never fast, always unreliable and best avoided.
Get real people - if you want to charge 60 bucks a night, how about some real facilities? Your park is nice, but so are state parks with the same facilities at half the price. - Spb
Aug 2016 - $26.00
Very nice well kept park, mostly full-timers. Biggest problem is parking. Management allows residents to park just about anywhere. The space next to us had a boat, pickup truck, car and a 5th wheel. The car and the truck are parked in the street. At night the streets have cars parked everywhere. We chose this place to be close to the Medical Center. We haven't noticed any noise problem, our site has been nice and quiet. Our first site was terrible but they moved us to a better site. - 4jim
Feb 2017 - $60.00
We stayed here for the Super Bowl and it was a great value for the money. The park is within walking distance of NRG stadium or a very short taxi/uber ride. The park is on a very busy main road and as other reviewers pointed out there is substantial road noise, but it wasn't a problem for us. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They let me use their tools to install my flag pole on our RV. Site 49 electrical hookup is on the back left of the site so you will probably need an extension cord to reach the plug. Everyone we met at the park were very friendly and really added to our enjoyment of being at the park. The park is basically a parking lot in a busy metro area, but it served our needs fine. We would definitely visit the park again. - Daniel Radley
Dec 2016 - $45.00
Lots of long term (for medical care) but some sites for short term. Sites very close. Back in only. Very friendly staff. Laundry quite pricey - would not do laundry there again! Gated. - Retired FL CSM
Nov 2016 - $41.00
For anyone spending time at the Houston medical center area, the location of this park is its best selling point. It is obviously an older park that could use some sprucing up. Roads and sites seemed tight for a 40-foot motorhome, but somehow I was able to manage it all. Quite a bit of road noise, but this is to be expected given the park's location. My gravel site was so "lumpy" it looked like it hadn't been leveled in years; however, once in the site only minor adjustments had to be made to get the coach level. - Phaeton40AH
Feb 2017 - $42.00
.Very crowded RV park that could use some sprucing up. Shower facilities were ok but could also use some updating. Sites were small and on top of each other. Most of the sites, especialy in the back were full time livers. Easy to reach the space cementer from here. It served our purpose. - momdoc
Jun 2016 - $42.00
Stayed here two nights while visiting the Johnson Space Center. Would definitely stay here if in the area. The park wasn't great, but it served our purpose very well. The check-in staff was very nice and helpful. No problems with our pull-through site. There are a lot of permanent residents but the park still looked good. The restrooms could use some work, but overall we were pleased with the campground. - junmy3
Apr 2016 - $40.00
They were very accommodating for our late arrival and friendly over the phone. Paved but very narrow roads inside rv park. Spacing is very tight; however, they had what we needed which was 50 amp, water and flat site. For an overnight, we didn't need anything more. It is near the highway but can't hear it much if your rv has good insulation. - DebGA
Nov 2016 - $10.00
This park is a short term park, using Pass Port America, and a long term park. This short term sites are nice in size and pull thru's, long term sites are very narrow and short. Full hook ups are find. The one bad thing about the park, is the dog pooh. Most of the long term residence don't pick up after their dogs. There seems to be no park rules that covers this area. The rates are OK. Long term is around $310.00 a month plus electricity.
There is a mobile home section in the park. Some are OK and some are in bad shape. The older mobile homes seem to have a lot of junk on their sites. We like this park even though there are some problems. - Joceil
Oct 2016 - $16.00
The park is mostly people who live there full-time or for extended periods but it appears they have about a dozen sites reserved for short term rentals. We stayed a week. Staff and any people we met in the park were friendly. There is a pool and a laundry room. Only complaint - no folding tables in laundry but the price was great. The area is becoming built up so if you are a runner, once you run by a half-mile of construction, you are in neighborhoods and the sidewalks are shady, safe and miles ... close proximity to stores. - BD_Mass
Jun 2016 - $16.00
A bargain for the Passport America rate of $16. Staff was exceedingly accommodating and left our check-in paperwork taped to the office door as we arrived late in the day. Office opens again on Monday morning for business and we will pay for our stay then. Easy peasy!
We didn't spend very much time here but used it as a convenient base to visit The Lakewood Church in Houston as well as a visit to Galveston.
Most of this park contains older, permanent mobile homes but there is a section for travel trailers which is well groomed and perfectly acceptable. Our site was a pull-thru, with plenty of room for our truck and fifth-wheel. Each site has a covered, cement patio with a freshly painted picnic table and the grass around the sites was recently mowed. Conveniently placed hookups for electric, water, and sewer, but no cable. We have our own WiFi so can't vouch for theirs. Peaceful and quiet in an otherwise very busy area. Would return if in the area. - PARTYOF2
