Feb 2013 - $29.00
Park is nice and quiet and the staff is friendly. It is showing it's age but everything worked. There are a lot of permanent residents some of which are a bit trashy. Wi-Fi worked great. Road to the park is narrow so watch yourself. Showers are large and work good. Pool is clean but small. Would stay again. - Brian & Corky
Sep 2012 - $18.00
We did the monthly rate as we had planned on staying longer. Says Wi-Fi available but only close to the office/Laundry, it is not reachable to the RV sites. Our site was right on the lake. Very beautiful!! Wish we could have stayed longer. Country setting but close to town and shopping. - pittstl
Apr 2015 - $35.00
Horrible. This place has apparently gone downhill in the last few years. Right next to a noisy highway. Upkeep was okay, but not very good. They say they have Internet, but it's not usable or reliable. And the owners don't really care. My suggestion: find someplace better. - JosephPT
Oct 2009 - $25.00
As other reviewers have stated this is a nice older park with wide sites. Owners are nice and friendly. Sites are level concrete with paved roads. Our site had a broken outbuilding and some debris from previous campers, but overall it was a nice place to stay. We would stay again. - BigRigTravelerUSA
Feb 2009 - $9.00
Nice older park with plenty of room between the sites. Really meant for long term as most of the ones are used as such. Nothing really wrong with the park unless you are looking for frills. There are no restrooms, showers, laundromat or pool. That is OK with us as we have all the facilities we need in our trailer. It is very quiet there and served our purpose very well. - zrxh14
Jul 2016 - $30.00
We have been camping In a 35' Motor Home at Oak Hollow RV Park since 10/14/2013. We commit to our site by the year so we can travel and have it when we return.
My wife and I have camped at hundreds of SP, COE and Campgrounds in the USA, Canada, and Alaska. We have camped at Resorts to Boom docking. We are members of PPA, C2C, and GS.
Oak Hollow RV Park may not be the biggest or have the most amities. But three years ago there were about 12 RV sites now it is around 70 RV sites. The owner is adding sites almost every week. The new ones are all level concrete with water, 50 amp. electric and sewer.
There are lots of trees for shade and birds to enjoy. We rate Oak Hollow RV a 8.0 when the Laundry room in finished our rating will go up to 9.0. - Goldwinger
Aug 2016 - $59.00
Parked on site in new area very close to freeway noise, but new fence does buffer some of the traffic sound. Beautiful park, all concrete sites and roads, green grass and growing trees in-between. Many full time residents with lots of stuff and many parked cars. Very nice club house, pool and rec area. July is hot (101). Strong WiFi with tuner outside my door. Site very long and level. Everything looks newish. Very friendly office staff. Escorted to your site. We have stayed here before. Some sites appear tight and close together.
Very nice pool area with adult hours posted. Security card entrance. Very spotless and manicured park. Price reflects a 10% discount. - Oooooooo
May 2016 - $59.00
Stayed May 9-11, loving the level pads with adequate space between lots. Price includes elec.,water, sewer, cable and Wi-Fi. Nice pool, jacuzzi and clubhouse with small workout room. Full-timers seem to be separate from those of us staying for a few days. We had doctor appointment in Houston (30 min.away during rush hour) and a visit to NASA (30 min away during morning rush-hr). Clean and quiet. There is a nice dog park and was nice even though we don't have a dog! There was a negative at check-in; a no-friendly and no-greeting from a young woman. She needs to be away from public! Other than her, everything else just fine. - User3126
Apr 2016 - $36.00
The sites are all concrete and pretty close together, and paved roads. Sites have a little bit of grass next to them to put the picnic table. They do have good water & electric, as well as cable. Wifi is iffy, even in the clubhouse. They have pretty tight pet restrictions, such as your pets cannot be tied outside your rig without you being out there with them, and you have to have proof of shots when registering. They have a dog park, but as usual, it's small and if you have a large dog, it's not enough room to let them run. (See comment below.) They have a pool & hot tub; very nice clubhouse and activities. It is all fenced in and you need a key card to get into the gate. - Kerch Family
Jan 2005 - $36.00
This is a mobile home park that will rent spaces to R.V. campers. The park is fairly dated, but kept clean and the staff is excellent. Located beside Hobby Airport, its a short drive to downtown Houston and all its attractions. Will visit again. - txtransplants
Jun 2011 - $20.00
Nice country park in the middle of rice farming. The park has a nice 9 hole course that we played 3 times. The course has a few water hazards but no sand traps at all. The company runs a crop dusting service and they start flying at first light, so you have a nice alarm clock. The site we had was a level pull-through with gravel and grass. They have creative pricing for weekly stays. You get 7 days and 6 nights for your weekly rate that cost $5 more than 6 nights. Go figure. I'd stay here again but would opt out of the weekly rate and save the $5 next time. - Bill Bell
Apr 2010 - $18.00
Can’t believe this park hasn’t been reviewed since 2006. Small park, with mostly long-term residents but well kept. The pull-through we were in was long enough for our 40’ coach with room to spare. All sites are rock with grassy area. Most have picnic tables. All are full-hook-up with 50 Amp service. Some trees but they do not interfere with the spaces. No longer have Wi-Fi or free washers/dryers and adjacent golf course is only 9 holes. Management is very friendly and helpful. Being out in the country, it is very quite. Good reception for both AT&T cell and Verizon wireless mobile broadband. Golf course can play tough when the wind is blowing, which according to our neighbors who have been here for a couple months, it almost always does. Being golfers, would definitely stay here again. - rvtravler2009
Jul 2006 - $15.00
Park is out in the country, about 3 miles north of TX35, just outside Danbury. It is surrounded by a huge rice farm and next door to an 18 hole golf course. There are 8 pull-thrus and 15 back-ins. The pull-thrus are pretty short and the back-ins are really long (easy to park two cars in front of coach). All sites are full hookup with 50 amp service. Sites are gravel surrounded by grass and nicely maintained. Back-ins sites all have a picnic table beside them. Most sites are filled with long-termers. Trees around the edge but not by the sites. Nice views and friendly hosts. Two fishing ponds and a creek runs by the north side. Pet friendly if you keep them on a lease and pick up their "leavings." Free WiFi and two free washers & dryers and free showers. Rates are $15/87.50/350 and all inclusive. We stayed here in a 40 ft motorhome for 2 months in 2006. - r.boylan
Aug 2016 - $26.00
Very nice well kept park, mostly full-timers. Biggest problem is parking. Management allows residents to park just about anywhere. The space next to us had a boat, pickup truck, car and a 5th wheel. The car and the truck are parked in the street. At night the streets have cars parked everywhere. We chose this place to be close to the Medical Center. We haven't noticed any noise problem, our site has been nice and quiet. Our first site was terrible but they moved us to a better site. - 4jim
Apr 2016 - $55.00
Hands down the most beautiful RV park we have yet to visit. The well-manicured grass areas were golf course quality, flower beds, rose bushes and well maintained trees everywhere. Would be a disservice to call it a campground. It's a resort. Well-appointed clubhouse with pool tables, table tennis, shuffle board. Heated pool. No grill at the site, but there are community grills throughout the park. We were only here two days, but could easily see staying long term. The only downside I see is there is just one restroom (that I could tell) at the clubhouse and could be quite a hike if your at the back of the park. Other than that, this is a first class resort. - ajmurray
Mar 2016 - $57.00
Excellent park! Friendly Staff. Very clean. Heated pool. Gated. Great Wifi! Only here for one night. I would suggest it for long term too. Lovely place! - User3274
Jan 2016 - $42.00
This is a gated facility within the Houston city limits. We had read that a lot of patients seeking extended medical care stayed here and found this is true. We read about road noise and were fortunate to get a site in the middle of the park that was not too loud. The person who greater us the office and her husband were very nice and helpful. However, they don't own the park and seemed to be hand tied by lack of funds. The restrooms should be closed! The access ramp is far too steep, clearly not up to code. Really not sure why Good Sam would rate them so highly. If you have another option, I would seriously consider staying somewhere else. - Ncw
Apr 2015 - $41.00
We stayed here 5 nights, we loved this park. Quiet, peaceful, clean, safe. I will stay again in the future. Almost didn't stay because of some of the previous reviews. I'm so glad we changed our minds, we enjoyed our time here completely. - KathyR
Mar 2015 - $50.00
If you only need a convenient place close to the Houston Med center or NRG stadium complex, this facility is fine. But beware.....there are issues to mention. The roads are very tight. Large rigs will fit but only after a lot of maneuvering and stressful nail biting. The staff is very helpful assisting with this task.
The sites are level and there is a nice concrete patio and quite a bit of shade about the grounds. But beware...the hook-ups work fine but are located at the very back of the site. I had to use my electrical extension cord to reach the pedestal and 2 sections of sewer hose to reach the dump drop. Cable TV is available but half of the channels were fuzzy.
Speed bumps...UNBELIEVABLE...they are everywhere and way too close to each other. Total Overkill. It's not like you can get up to any speed on the narrow tight roads that are also lined with tow vehicles. They could easily eliminate half (or more) of these and still be effective with controlling the non-existent hot-roders
And the Noise. If extreme noise is a problem pick another facility. This park is inches from a very busy Main Street. The noise is 24/7. Loud trucks, fast obnoxious cars, and sirens at 3am.
This facility was satisfactory for what we needed, but certainly not a pristine experience. - Tcamper
Jun 2016 - $42.00
Stayed here two nights while visiting the Johnson Space Center. Would definitely stay here if in the area. The park wasn't great, but it served our purpose very well. The check-in staff was very nice and helpful. No problems with our pull-through site. There are a lot of permanent residents but the park still looked good. The restrooms could use some work, but overall we were pleased with the campground. - junmy3
Apr 2016 - $40.00
They were very accommodating for our late arrival and friendly over the phone. Paved but very narrow roads inside rv park. Spacing is very tight; however, they had what we needed which was 50 amp, water and flat site. For an overnight, we didn't need anything more. It is near the highway but can't hear it much if your rv has good insulation. - DebGA
Feb 2016 - $39.00
The spaces are very narrow and the roads in the park are tight. Don't plan on extending your awing or leaving your tow attached. Staff is very nice and helpful and try to make your stay nice. The park is on the frontage road right off the freeway so its very loud, there also seemed to be a lot of working from the freeway construction job staying there so traffic inside the park in the early morning was also loud. Great location for visiting the Space Center because it is so close. Not someplace I would chose to hang out at the RV for a couple weeks for vacation.
Wi-Fi was high speed but not reliable, it only worked a few hours the first day I got there and then didn't work for the remaining two days. - jpm777
Jun 2016 - $16.00
A bargain for the Passport America rate of $16. Staff was exceedingly accommodating and left our check-in paperwork taped to the office door as we arrived late in the day. Office opens again on Monday morning for business and we will pay for our stay then. Easy peasy!
We didn't spend very much time here but used it as a convenient base to visit The Lakewood Church in Houston as well as a visit to Galveston.
Most of this park contains older, permanent mobile homes but there is a section for travel trailers which is well groomed and perfectly acceptable. Our site was a pull-thru, with plenty of room for our truck and fifth-wheel. Each site has a covered, cement patio with a freshly painted picnic table and the grass around the sites was recently mowed. Conveniently placed hookups for electric, water, and sewer, but no cable. We have our own WiFi so can't vouch for theirs. Peaceful and quiet in an otherwise very busy area. Would return if in the area. - PARTYOF2
Apr 2016 - $16.00
This is an old, rundown trailer park with RV sites around the outside. Definitely not worth $32 a night, barely worth the $16 a night with Passport America. Sites are dirt/gravel and close. The only good thing about this place is that the sites are level. - mrpeepers
Dec 2015 - $13.00
We stayed here for 1 month. The restroom/laundry room area is only open for a limited time due to previous vandalism - 8:30am to 9pm. There is a recreation area but with a few books in it and is only open during business hours. The water and electric are good and conveniently placed. They have pull thru sites and back in sites. It is a mobile home park and there are a lot of mobile homes which brings down the niceness of the park. They have a pool and is family friendly. No playground and no where for kids to play. They allow pets but do not have a pet area. They have WiFi that costs money and no cable. The roads could use some maintenance and the sites are fairly close together. If at all possible, next time we are here I do not want to stay in this park. Unfortunately, RV parks in Houston fill up fast due to people living in their trailers working in the area. - Kerch Family
