2 Parks near Marathon, Texas
Jan 2016 - $36.00
Our rate reflects a 10% discount, so the normal daily rate is very high. Given that they are literally the only game in town, they can charge what they want.
The campground has two parts - one above for 50 amp units and one below for 30 amp units. Both are gravel. All services were good, including Wi-Fi. Quite a bit of train noise from the tracks across the street, but fortunately there were only four or so trains daily.
This town is OK for a stop before or after Big Bend NP, but don't count on stocking up on supplies. Fuel is expensive and the only grocery store is very expensive and has about the same stock as a Seven-Eleven in a larger community.
We probably will not stay here again. - wandrr

Nice place to spend the night when headed to other directions. Spent the night here on the way to Big Bend. Rate is P.A. Had cable, Wi-Fi. Good water and electric. Former motel that was run down and owners have rebuilt everything. Has lodges if traveling by car. Friendly owners and sites were good pull through s and level. Did not have to unhook. Would try the lodge if traveling by car instead of the nearby hotel. A hidden gem. We would stay here again. Had a common area that has seating and a large fireplace. - Tigggerdad
