The park was full and was pretty run down. We drove through but the road was rough especially at entrance and exit. This appears to be a permanent RV community. We did not stay here. - CJVJn1Doug

Alley Oop is one of 3 city-operated RV parks in Iraan. It's located on the northwest side of town beside Alley Oop Park. It's a small area with 10 sites, 5 are pull-throughs and the other five are along the edge of the perimeter road. It's a little tight for the larger rigs. When we visited, the park was full with obviously long-term tenants and we were not able to spend the night. - WxToad

This is the Alley Oop RV Park, and should be called a trailer park. There are no hookups or spaces for RVs in the city park. There was one space available as all others are occupied by permanent workers. This is not a park for RVers. They have added spaces along the edge and have one in the driveway you need to use to exit from the first row. No restrooms, showers or laundry. Run by the city with a self pay box. - paxton

This RV park was full. Many appeared to be permanent residents. - CJVJn1Doug

We were surprised at how clean the park was. As the previous person stated we also called ahead. There were 5 sites available. All the sites are pull thrus, 30/50 amp with water, electric and sewer. Sites are long enough that we didn't need to disconnect our toad. All gravel and surprisingly level. Even though it's 13 miles from I10, the road in is well maintained and no traffic. We'd definitely stop here again. By the way, there is no tv or radio. Verizon cell service excellent. - Mmranch

As described by other reviewers, this is one of three parks the town of Iraan has set up for RVs. I called ahead (the number is the town government office) and they do keep track of whether these parks are full or not, and they informed me that each of the three parks had space. We stayed in 'The Landing', which is the one south of the main drag. There was a space open near the first entrance, so we pulled into site #2. There are lighted pedestals at each site, with full hook-ups. We used the 30-amp plug and it worked well; did not try the 50-amp plug, but at least they have one. The water connection didn't have a standard handle so I had to use a pair of pliers to turn it on/off. Everything else was great. This is self-service; fill in some of the blanks and put $15 in the envelope and put it in a slotted box. There was a grill at most of the sites that we looked at, but no picnic table. Verizon signal was 3 bars. At one time they apparently offered some kind of cable TV (and there is a connection), but a notice on the boad said it could no longer be offered. Surface was a bit uneven but since we were staying just one night, we didn't level the RV. Surface was dirt/gravel, with a grass strip where the pedestal was. There were several trailers that looked like they were there long-term. Given the price, it was a great value, and no real issues. - RobtL
