Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $30.00
This park is really a home to men and families working on the oil line with one space for people traveling through. The owner is very kind the space is very large, hook ups easy but not sure I would come back. Train is nearby and the place is really quiet by 9:00 but by 5:30 there is a lot of noise as the men leave for the day. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Tips for other Campers:
Not much here not even a place to eat except Sonic and Subway

New park about 12 miles west of Abilene that is still being developed. Had to shut down engine while being registered because of road dust. Site plenty long enough but sewer connection placed so that you have to park on first half of pad. No trees or grass. Bar ditches at entry and exit of site that will be mud holes if it ever rains. Just a flat, barren, gravel place with hookups. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Motorhome.
This RV park is only 18 months old, so much is still in progress. The manager was super friendly and helpful, even driving one of us to the nearest store for some needed parts. Sites are very long - the pull-through sites are over 100'. WiFi was good, occasionally slowing down, but still quite useable. Far enough away from I-20 for the vehicle noise to not be a bother.
Excellent location for one nighters just passing through.
Cost was $32.50 if paying cash. If charging, cost is $33.50.
Owner and manager(s) continue to improve the park. We will happily stay here next time we pass through. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Motorhome.
The owner/manager was quite friendly and the checkin was quick and easy. We were given a pull through right by the office as we were staying just one night. The park WiFi was slow, probably due to other campers watching Netflix, so we used our Verizon data instead, but it was OK for email and occasional web browsing. The interior roads are mostly gravel, or the remains of chip seal, but the sites are long and level. The park is just off I-20 but the traffic noise wasn't a problem. If you keep your windows open, you will hear the trucks, however. The restrooms/showers were very clean and the showers were huge. No picnic tables.
This park is not easy to find using the usual sources, and I mentioned this to the owner. Hopefully, he will get listed on other sites than just this one. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $37.00
This park is good for an overnight stay. The owner is very nice. The park was full when I called for a reservation. The owner called me back to let me know he had spaces available. Drive very slowly when entering! There were a lot of potholes. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $32.00
Stayed here after much rain. There was mud everywhere, almost got stuck getting into my site. The park was full of workers but was clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Doubt I will stay here again. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $32.00
Nice long pull through sites (approx 100'), also level. Good strong Verizon cell service. The park has excellent Wi-Fi, laundry, and restrooms. There are plenty of places to get fuel and eat near by. If you are eastbound on I-20 you have to use the underpass(curved/arched) to get to the park, it measures greater than 14' in the middle, however, it is marked as 13'4" on the outer edge. We had no problem and we are 13'4" to top of our front a/c. We will stay here again. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $32.00
The park is just a short distance north of I-20. The gravel sites are long and level and WiFi is good. There are also restrooms and a laundry. My Verizon signal couldn’t have been stronger. The cell tower overlooks the campground! Overnight there was a few minutes of concern. There’s some kind of heavy equipment yard next door. About 4:30 a.m. we were treated to what sounded like someone banging on a big metal drum. It only lasted about 5 minutes, but it certainly brought us up out of a sound sleep. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $32.00
Fairly new park just off Highway 20 @ Exit 270. Huge sites and very level. We will stay again if in the area. It has convenient on/off access to the freeway. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Motorhome.
