Stopped on the way from New Mexico to Dallas to visit family. OK for spending the night with a full hookup. Too hot, without AC this time of the year in West Texas. Flat, dusty, gravel pads and roads. Typical West Texas park. Plain and simple, a few trees. We didn't get one. Bathrooms were not on AC, so hot and muggy, clean, but did not appear to get much use. Very large park, with several sections. Majority of folks appeared to be oilfield workers, with permanent locations. Office and park folks were friendly. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Wetlands area across the street. Yes, I know, hard to believe in Midland. Bike through the park. Permian Basin Oil museum nearby, worth a look, if you don't know about the oilfield. Restaurants, Rosa's for good Mexican, Garlic Press for a nice sit down dinner, Wall Street for steaks and Venetian for Italian.

Possibly the worst RV campground we have ever stayed in. It's nothing but a big gravel-covered lot with few shade trees. There were some sites with a few trees but those sites are occupied with perms and long-termers. I didn't catch (the fact I was overcharged due to extreme driving fatigue from over 300 miles) when I checked in, but I too late realized they didn't even give me my Good Sam discount which I was promised when I booked the site months ago. It's only $3.50, but it's still not right. The biggest problem is their completely inadequate electrical system. The outside temp was 108 and the park voltage was almost 10 volts low. I ran our genset until quiet hours began so I could cool down our coach without overtaxing our two AC's with the completely inadequate voltage. Did I mention the washboard road coming into the park and the view of the junkyard right next door ? I will never stay here again. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is exactly as others has described. Staff friendly, price reasonable for what you get, and access to town good. Stayed here two nights on our way west. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The main draw for us for this RV Park was the fact that it was on city water. Other parks are on well water and the water is not so good. But according to our water tester the water here is above the threshold for tap water. A quick trip to get gallons of drinking water took care of that issue. Our GPS devices disagreed a lot on this trip but we ended up where we needed to be. Although the lady at the front desk at checkin was real nice the guy who guided us to our site was a little gruff. We did pull into a secondary entrance which didn't help our cause. The interior roads and sites are gravel. The hookups are convenient. We ended up in a pullthru and we had a great line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish. We would probably stay here again as this is probably the best in the area. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped in here for one night traveling along i20 - this was a pleasant surprise based on everything else we saw. I got all of our laundry done, place is clean, people are super friendly. Was a cute little place, some garden areas, trees, grass area and separate dog runs. Site was a decent space, gravel& level. Real close to the hwy but you really didn't hear it much. We would recommend to stay here if traveling thru and need to rest a night or 2, not a 'vacation spot' though. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff. We stopped for an overnight stay on our way home. The rv sites are all gravel and dirt. Very basic: no concrete or brick pavers, no grass, no picnic tables or grills. It sits next to a landfill. It's okay if you just want an overnight stay. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Called ahead a day before, very helpful. Pull throughs available. We travel in a 45 foot Class A pulling a 25 foot trailer. We fit. Camp hosts and workers are very nice. Great Verizon phone reception. Good place to stop for a night or two. Many here are long term, working, quiet residents. Glad we stopped here. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The only RV Park that I stay when visiting this part. Heard horror stories about bad water in other parks. This park has city services and is close to Odessa, easy on easy off. The staff know all all time residents and we feel safe. Close to all restaurants and shops. We got a long pull thru site and we ask for a site in the 64-69 area. Wifi is very good and their cable lineup is good (although I have Dish). Checkout the I-20 Wildlife center that you can walk to. Beautiful. The staff escort you to your site. Nice service. Will stay again. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy access from I-20. It's nothing fancy but it works well for a one night stay on our way to Arizona from Alabama. We were escorted to our site with plenty of room to maneuver. The sites are all gravel and flat. No problems getting level. We called ahead and made a reservation and it's a good thing we did as we got the last site. Most of the park are long term campers. All the utilities worked well including the cable TV. We did not use their Wi-Fi. Our Verizon phones had a strong signal. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is entirely asphalt, and is mostly utilitarian. Restrooms were clean, didn't try showers. Laundry room had some broken units, but basically clean. Very convenient to Midland and Odessa. Very easy to get to off I-20. There is some road noise at night from I-20 which is 1/4 south and the train tracks which are 1/4 mile north, but it's mostly muted. Lots of permanent residents from the oil fields.

Very windy, so don't put out your awning. Staff was courteous and friendly. 2 dog runs. The whole park is not much to look at, but it gets the job done for an overnight or if you have business in the area (we were visiting family). Wifi was very fast and solid. Good cell service for Verizon. Cable TV offered many channels. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly and efficient staff, easy in and out. Utilities worked well. Basically a gravel parking lot but it's the best campground in the area and very convenient to I-20. We've stayed here in the past and will stay again when in the area. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't miss out on the Nature Preserve across the street from the campground. There is a walking trail around the preserve with many blinds for observing wildlife. It even has a butterfly garden. Way to go, Midland!

I have been using this campground for a long time while travelling between Alabama and Southern California. Good place for a stop over. The service, price, quality of utilities are all very good. The approach road from I-20 to the CG has been paved and I see that they are on city utilities. While the water taste is not great, good to know that it is safe to drink with all the fracking going on in the area.

All in all, happy to stay and will return. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Motorhome.
