Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $20.00
This campground has no particularly wonderful facilities, but it is quite inexpensive and certainly adequate. The sites are gravel but wide and easily accessed. Most people in the campground seem to be either workers or students, but that was really not a problem. The Wi-Fi was good and fast, and the laundry was convenient and inexpensive. Our rate reflects a one week stay - basically seven nights for the price of six. We would probably stay here again. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
$20 per day rate is based on one week stay. All 40 sites have full utilities and most are pull through. Large spaces with a gravel pad and sparse grass between the spaces. This space (21) is not level, the fifth wheel is on two rows of levelers. Free good unsecure WIFI and Verizon MIFI is on 4G with good reception. For those staying at least a week, a Direct TV box is issued with good reception. This park was purchased earlier this year by the owner of the adjacent golf course. New managers are helpful however you are not assisted to your site. I was told they are adding improvements to the park. There is no pool, no trees in the sites and no clubhouse or showers. Several RVs are in major disrepair. Some of the campsites are very cluttered and it seems to be mostly workers in the park. It was quiet since it is 2000 feet from the highway with some train noise but not too close. The lane into the park is somewhat rutted and narrow with mostly gravel surface. There are not any lights. Grocery, shopping or attractions are approximately 6-10 miles from the park. Several dogs are loose in the park, although they stay fairly close to the site where they belong. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Tips for other Campers:
The visitors center has really good information and is well worth taking the time to find out all about this oldest town in Texas.
This park is under new management with an on-site camp host. Office is open daily. Sites are level and clean. Golf course next door and they offer golf packages. Beautiful course. Only down side is no shower room but was assured it was in the near future plans. Quiet as it is off the road. Value is great! We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Tips for other Campers:
Nacogdoches has so much history! You have to visit downtown! Oldest town in Texas.
Quiet park with level sites. No extras. Laundry clean with two washers and dryers. Perfect place to visit Nacogdoches and close to Lufkin. WiFi strong and good. AT&T service good. We are full time and 37' fifth wheel and crew cab truck had plenty of room. Owners live on site and very friendly. Some long term residence and workers. We will stay here again if in area. Rate reflects week stay. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $28.00
Rough road leading to park. There is a 10 foot view of the golf course from the office. The sites are down a hill. It didn't appear as if the office was ever open. The sites were level, but no grass just dirt and weeds between sites. Not a bad overnight stop but I think the rate is too much for this park. Mostly long term renters. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $28.00
I would recommend this park. It has large sites. The sites are level and are made of crushed asphalt. The grass area is OK. The internet has great signal but is not secure. It is quiet and clean. It is on the ninth hole of a golf course. I would come here again if in the area. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is located on US59 South, a few miles south of town and on east side of highway. Access road is a narrow crowned dirt road. Interior roads are recycled asphalt which is pretty loose and lumpy. Pads are same material and very soft so you have to use pads or your jacks will sink. All other areas are barren soft sand. There is very little grass and, despite being surrounded by the owner's forested land, no shade at all. I noted that I did not know if this was pet friendly since, although they allow pets, there is nowhere to walk one. The park opened early March 2011 and has a very long way to go before it is a "resort". Basically it is a parking lot with hookups. Water pressure was good. Wi-Fi was good. Owner was on site and very helpful and friendly. This was previously rated as a 10. The rating must have been by a relative. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $25.00
Easy entry from US 59, well marked. Good interior roads. This is a brand new park opened in April 2011. On-site laundry facility soon to open. Each site has two sewer hookups for big rigs. Owner lives on site and is very helpful with everything. Walking trails in nearby wooded areas. 18-hole golf course within walking distance. This is the best park in this area. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
