Called well in advance for a reservation & were told there were no pull thru's available so we opted for a back in. We were placed in the older area of the park which appeared to have many permanent residents. Our back in spot was tight & hard to maneuver into due to the large # of vehicles parked in the road. We had to back uphill , site was unlevel. Water connection was wobbly like it had been run over. Tree directly over the site needed trimmed as the limbs were on top of our rig & slides. Cigarette butts all over the site & cats running loose in the park. As we drove around the park, we saw many empty pull thru's. The positive sides of this park was that the bathroom was clean & the front office help were very friendly. Location of the resort is convenient to the highway but in the lower part of the park, there is a lot of road noise. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $25.00
Gravel parking pads need upgrading and maintenance. Rally rate. Staff nice. Wifi strong. More a cottage park than rv with lots of trailers and full time construction workers. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $35.00
Resort is more a rental cottage or cabin area than Rv resort. Many class B 5th wheels and trailers. Rv site areas not maintained. Weeds at site were knee high, grass ? was uncut. There was a hole burned in the wood table, many dirt/gravel unlevel sites and general lack of maintenance or attention to the entire area. Previous rv had hit the water facet and transformer box- both bent and dislocated at our site. Read your receipt before signing for liability clause. Outdoor pool and office areas nice. Prior to our arrival they had charged my credit card with the entire weeks rental fee...disappointed We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
When I called and made reservation I told them two times we were with woodcarvers group. They put us in a very small back-in site with over grown shrubs and trees and as far away as possible from others in our group, who had large sites. Excessive highway noise and train noise. Poor location for RV park. Park was somewhat clean but had dogs running loose inside park. Many long term people in park with some very old campers. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

These people, it appears, are changing to a park model (cabin) park. They are doing a lot of repairs. Had to struggle to get to office for a receipt and then they could not provide one. They say they pickup trash bags daily. They just don't say which day is daily. RVers appear to be a necessary evil. Could be a great park, but I won't be back. Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $35.00
Nice park, lots of amenities, but the WiFi is inadequate for the number of sites. Management just says to keep trying. After four hours I decided we would not come back. Price too high to accept that level service. There are other parks available . We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $35.00
We had a Rally over here (35 is rally rate), booked in January for April to be sure to be together with the other rigs! We were all over the place and not together. The campground was not full at all. They were working on the cabins and outdoor swimming pool. WiFi is Tengo, free but very bad! Cable is free and good. Long gravel pull thrus with little concrete patio. A lot of Interstate noise and trains! Great surroundings, but we will not come back to this Campground, too expensive for what they offer and too much traffic noise. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $38.00
We used this campground since it was close to friends living in New Braunfels. Problems were- wifi never worked that great - cable never worked that great (used over the air antenna) - sewer connection was 11" above the ground so I had to walk the sewer hose to empty it. Residents were not that friendly. Hardly anyone waved to us or stopped to say hello. We will not come back to this campground. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $24.00
Indoor pool and spa was great when it was cold outdoors. Good sized dog park. Their rules said one rig wash ok per season. Water, sewer, electric, cable, wifi all good. Rate shown was PPA. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $20.00
Location was good for San Antonio and Hill Country but a bit far for Austin. Amenities were good. Noise from highway and trains. Gravel sites were dirty and muddy when wet. Park is mainly fulltime residents who are not that friendly to seasonal guests and others passing through. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $24.00
This is a very nice RV Resort. Sites are gravel with concrete patio's. Site we were in was fairly level. Nice indoor pool and hot tubs. A large fenced dog run that was big enough for our 2 large dogs. Showers and restrooms were clean and showers were large. Lots of Park Models in this resort, but doesn't impact the RVer's. Highly recommend this park. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.Undo

Enjoyed the indoor swimming pools and the vast array of activities offered. Close to many areas if interest and shopping centers. Our pad site easily accommodated our RV. Staff was friendly and informative. People from all over the states and Canada were camping there and ere very friendly. Pet and kid friendly. Stayed overnight here while we were getting some work done at Camping World. The park is right off I-35. This is a fairly large camp ground, divided into three sections: RV section on each end and a park model / trailer house section in the middle. Check in was very fast, and the Lady at the counter was very nice. Sites are gravel and spaced fairly far apart. Ours was a pull through with a grassy area on the back side. Site was not very level, but all utilities worked fine. Wifi worked very well as well. Had a large fenced in doggy run plus plenty of room to walk. Freeway noise was minimal; could hear a train as well. Lots of permanent campers, but most rigs looked fine. Didn't use the rest rooms or showers, but the pool area was nice. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $85.00
Great park. Stayed here several times: this time in one of their newer cabins. Practically brand new! Close to everything & we must be really sound sleepers because we've never been bothered by highway noises or a train! Will definitely stay here again. Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $47.00
Good overnight stop off I-35 in the Texas hill country. An older “trailer park” with mostly full time residents in trailers and park model trailers-aka cottages. "Resort" is a misnomer. Park is overpriced even with Good Sam discount. Passport America is not accepted on the weekend. Well marked access off highway just south of town. Efficient but not friendly office staff. Good asphalt interior roads with level gravel sites. Sites are large and long. The large mature trees make it a little tight to maneuver for big rigs. Watch your clearance. Utilities conveniently located and worked properly with good 50 amp service. Picnic table at each site. Pet friendly for friendly pets. Lots of room to walk Fido. Good free Wi-Fi. Strong Verizon data and cell phone signal, with cable TV stations. Clean modern showers and laundry room, with a pool, hot pool, exercise room and large rec/meeting room .Park is adjacent to I-35. In spite of the location it was quiet with no train noise, no plane and moderate traffic noise. Nice store and kid play equipment and nice pool and rec room. Close to super markets and hardware stores. I would not return due to the trailer park atmosphere, the age of the park and the price.
