This is a small little park. It is run down and in desperate need of repair. The ceiling in the lodge is falling down, not just in one place but the whole building. The pool bathhouse is old and has mold on the walls. The floors are rotted, the toilets are about to fall through the floor. The pool is above ground and is not in good condition. They only have 2 50 amp sites for the whole park, no shade available. The electric is spotty and has low voltage on every site. The owners are now charging per nite for electric, even if you only stay 1 night. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with previous reviewers. A neat little park in a beautiful rural setting. Wonderful management couple. We just stayed one night, but I wish that we had the time to stay longer and just relax. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is now Hillcrest RV Park ("A Timber Lodge Resort") We loved this campground. It's quiet, clean and well maintained. Nice long pull throughs. The managers are very friendly and helpful . They take alot of pride in the park, and it shows. As previous reviewers have said, this park isn't close to stores or other services. The nearest big stores would be in Willis or Conroe, about 18 mi. away. We'd definitely stay here again. The price reflects the PA discount with a $3.00 surcharge for 50 amp. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects Coast to Coast. We enjoyed our stay here, the people are very friendly. Open grass sites were level and interior roads were gravel. There is a rec room with rest rooms and a separate building with showers. We would most definitely stay here again. Make no mistake, this is a no frills campground, but the setting is what we liked the most. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very quiet pastoral setting on a hilltop of bahia grass which was mowed. Site was grass and picnic table. Roads not paved. Staff very friendly. Pool was available, but we hadn't the time. Rural so that no amusements were close, but we prefer the quiet. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Motorhome.

Nice and quiet, except for the fast traffic on highway 1/4 mile away. Yes, several long term campers, but area kept clean. Manager very friendly; provided us with a paved site for our motorhome, when most sites were gravel. Big, huge grassy yard all the way around sites. Swimming pool was kept running and clean, even if too cold for our use. Park is close to state forest for lots of recreational activities, but not real close to big towns to do much shopping. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Motorhome.

This place is a membership park, and we camped here through Passport America. The park is on the small size with very little shade. All sites are pull throughs. There is a clubhouse that has washers and dryers in one area. Timber Lodge would be nice for the winter time, early spring, or late fall. The park likes to have camping groups or clubs use the park. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Motorhome.
