This was our second stay at the campground. Sites/roads are paved. We stayed in Site 53, which is a pull thru, level, with a patio and picnic table. The site did face the setting sun, which made sitting outside uncomfortable in the summer heat. Restroom/Showers are unisex, they were clean in the morning, but became less so during the day. Pool was adequate and there is a lake swimming area. Kids enjoyed bank fishing and actually caught a few fish. There is an onsite restaurant that gets good reviews. We would stay here again. We camped in a Motorhome. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

Once again (see my 10/16 review for a more detailed review), we had an enjoyable stay at this park. Although on the expensive side, there are FHU sites with cable and WiFi. The pool and the lakeside setting offer plenty of recreational opportunities. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a very well maintained, family oriented campground. Staff at check in were helpful and friendly. Interior roads are concrete and big rig access was average. The campground is terraced and nicely landscaped, we had a lovely pull in site with a pretty view over Lake Livingston in the Surfside section with plenty of space for our towed, a lovely shade tree and a fire ring, but not much privacy. Our concrete pad was wide and level and had a patio with a picnic table. However, we were allocated site 74 which has a buddy site 74a at right angles to it which is only about 40' long. On day 3 inexplicably a 35' fifth wheel and truck were allocated this site which made it impossible to get our coach out and made it difficult to maneuver our small towed in and out, we had to ask the truck owner to move when we left the following morning. The park was half empty at the time so there was no need to use this site, this rig was obviously way too big for the site. I pointed out to the office staff that site 74a was not capable of accommodating a rig much over 40' in overall length without restricting access to site 74, which points to inexperienced staff not understanding the site layout. Hopefully they will take note and adjust their booking systems accordingly. Until then beware if you are allocated site 74.

We were here over the weekend, so it was pretty noisy with lots of kids, radios blaring and boats on the water. If we stayed here again it would only be during the week when hopefully much quieter, and only for a couple of days at most. The bathrooms were modern but the one I used was dirty and had no toilet paper! The one laundry although clean, did not have enough washers and dryers for a campground of this size. There was no security gate and we saw a lot of folk just driving through to check out the campground. Pet friendly with a Kamp K9, pet walk and doggie bags with a disposal station. Wifi and AT&T were good. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

Very spacious Rv park on the shoreline of Lake Livingston with fabulous sunsets and very well maintained Rv resort park. Waterfront and concrete sites, grass, strong wifi and power, playground, beach and wonderful on site restaurant. We have stayed here before. Easy drive from Houston. KOA park with on site store. Price reflects weekly rate. Very nice park with views of Lake Livingston. Sites are wide, but concrete pads are narrow. My site, plus some others are not very level. Mine sloped from back to front. Water pressure and electric service is good. Nice dog park to let the dogs off the leash. Very clean park. There are sand burrs stickers in the grass that you have to watch out for when walking dogs and around your site. Verizon Service is 3 to 4 bars. WiFi is good. Kind of slow at night when more people are using it. Would stay here again. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

We were here a couple years ago and were happy to return. There are 3 sections of the park: Surfside down by the lake and pool is all back ins, Bridgepark by the lake and large boating parking area is also all back ins, and Tall Timbers in the terraced are away fro the lake by with great views is mostly pull through sites. There are also 4 cabins in the Surfside asrea. We had a FHU, gravel, pull through in Tall Timbers. Our site was right next to the main bathhouse (there are other bathrooms at the clubhouse and near the office) and laundry (only 3 of each machine) but that was not a problem because there were only about 20 RVs in the park. The cable TV is over 60 channels but we are still in the TV channel censorship area of the country - so no Comedy Central. Many sites appear to be satellite friendly. The Wi-Fi provider is the hated Tengo but it was worked OK since the park was fairly empty. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed the day we were here. The staff I dealt with was friendly and helpful. I saw no sign of any recycling. The price is a bit high but this is a very nice, well run KOA. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

Lake Livingston / Onalaska KOA is in Onalaska, Texas on Lake Livingston. Beautiful, well maintained full service campground. Most sites in Surfside section have a view of the lake. We were in the Surfside section in site 99. The sites terrace up the hill. rate $47/night. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The money was worth it to us, only for the fact we have a boat and can park it and use the boat launch for free. Overall, it's an ok park and kids (teens) are not allowed to drive golf carts in the park. They pick and chose when to enforce that rule. The lady in the office rushed me along at check in and did not really want to give information about the park. Kind of sad, when you want to know about the area and their changes. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Not usually a fan of KOA's but this one might change all that! We had a beautiful lakefront spacious site. This park is very clean; has strong hook-ups; cement pads and interior roads; a pool, beach and boat rentals; and, security regularly patrolling the grounds. The restaurant with outdoor deck on the lake serves home cooking and is very good. Try the homemade pies, you will not be disappointed. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

There are boat rentals at the campground as well as a beach, pool and hot tub. There are things to do in Livingston which is about 16 miles east. It is also about 90 minutes to downtown Houston without traffic. The on site restaurant, Farm House, is very good home cooking.

Paid the extra for the waterfront site: well worth it. Great padded site with a private view of the lake. This was one of my favorite campgrounds that we visited this summer. Took our kayak out on the lake for a paddle. Very relaxing stay. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

This stay has been great. We were at another park prior to our arrival here, and I must say that although both parks are on the same lake, our experience was entirely different. I am surprised by how much we love this park. Although it is an RV park setting, the view of the lake in our campsite is wonderful. We are elevated with a great lake view and there are trees to our north that block the wind. It is April and there are no bugs. At the other park we were overcome by mosquitoes and caterpillars, but here, not at all. This is not a huge KOA, but very clean and well maintained. Hookups all in working order, small laundry room, beach access, marina with boat rentals and a hot tub and unheated pool. There is a great restaurant (not related to the campground) on the property. There is highway noise. This is a great place if you want all the amenities and lake access without the bugs. It's not cheap but was just what we need for the weekend. Grocery store and gas is just up the road, but nothing much else around. Rate includes extra $5 for my 3rd child. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Waterfront pull in, over looking the lake and fabulous sunsets. Long concrete site easy for motorhome and tow car. Trash pickup at curb side, great rally room, spotless grounds, very nice staff. KOA now. Easy in and out and no highway noise. Sparkling pool, but in February a bit cool so we did not use. The onsite restaurant was very good for Thursday night dinner, and service for a group was good as the restaurant was almost full. Free strong wifi. Cable for HD strong, you may need a converter box if you have analog. Many full time residents in campers and towables. Great setting to hang out, relax and never leave. There is a playground and pool on site, as well as a launch ramp and marina with boats for rent. No book exchange. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

This park had beautiful views of Lake Livingston and the sunset. The sites were spacious and grassy with fire pits which are hard to find in RV parks in Texas. We are 55+ so the pool and beach with lots of children were not our thing, but we loved the Farmhouse restaurant and relaxing by the lake. This is a great place for family camping. If you don't have a boat, there's not a lot to do away from the campground. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lovely park with many amenities. Unfortunately our stay in January was cold and rainy, so we didn't get to enjoy the park to the fullest. We took a waterfront pull in site; gorgeous sunsets, but I failed to figure in the terrible glare of the sun all afternoon through the front windows of our motorhome; we had to keep our curtains closed until evening. Don't recommend site 74 unless you are a Class C or short MH; to exit the site you must back up a hill until your hitch is dragging the concrete; marks already there from others. Waterfront sites are a bit short; care must be taken to get in just right because you have to park beside your RV and slides may get in the way of getting out of your car. Campsites are almost totally dark at night; we felt it was dangerous; no lights on hook ups so night arrival could be difficult. We were told that a lady had fallen at night and broken her wrist; as she stepped off into the reeds, she was bitten by a snake and had to be rushed to the hospital. Another issue for us is our older TV which has to have a converter box. Management tells you it is Sudden Link's fault, but we have spoken about this with numerous campground managers, who have told us that the digital switchover required them to upgrade their equipment, which was very expensive, but they did it. Apparently KOA doesn't do this. We traveled all around NM, Colorado, AR, LA, MS this summer and had no trouble hooking up to their TV system. Only at KOAs have we had a problem. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

Absolutely beautiful park! We had a waterfront site & rate reflects KOA discount. I thought this was a very reasonable rate for such a fantastic wide open view of the lake. We had a blue heron & snowy egret strutting in front of us & feeding all day.

I swam in the pool which is a good size, very clean and had a large deck area for sunbathing.

Very nicely maintained park and was very quiet during our stay. Satellite and WiFi worked well. The park is beautifully lit up at night. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.
