First 2 days are FREE then $10 a day after for whatever length of stay. Register at City Hall after you unhook. Very helpful staff at City Hall 8 sites that are 20 & 30 amp Only and a easily accessible dump at back of CG as well as 2 large garbage bins Very level gravel pull thru sites I had no problems with a 32' Travel Trailer and Pull Truck in this spot without unhooking. Nearby dollar store & eating places. Next door is a gas station where you can also top off propane tanks, nearest Wal-Mart is 25 mi in Silverton. Everyone I met in this town was super friendly and helpful. I stayed a week during spring break waiting for Caprock Park to become available. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Texas again and visit local businesses. - Tj Hunter

I never got the WiFi to work but, we did not have the password. The little park is quiet and water/electric was fine. It was free so no complaints. Loved the Boston Terrier museum. A friendly little town. We would stay again. - D Vaughn

This little park is a true diamond, and a gift to RV travelers. With a nightly fee of $0 for the first three nights and $5 after how can you go wrong! I have paid over $50 and got a lot less for my money. The park is convenient, clean, well lighted and extremely well kept. Roads and sites are gravel and well maintained. There is some shade at each site. Good water pressure and electricity. Strong Wi-Fi. There is some road noise but we did not find it too objectionable. The folks at the city hall where you sign in, are very friendly and helpful. The town has a few restaurants that are, on balance, pretty good. About the only thing keeping this park from a 10 rating is the fact that it does not have sewer hook up and cable TV. They do have a dump station however, and it is in good shape and convenient. There are no other RV parks for twenty-five miles to the east and perhaps as much as forty miles in all other directions. PS Had to put $1.00 because this site will not take $0. - oldtexascowboy

This is an older park but big rig friendly. Concrete site with trees but we asked for a sat friendly site and they gave us one that was. We were in the pull thru in the back and had no problems getting in or out. However if a vehicle had been in the road it could have been interesting as the streets are narrow. We would stay here again if in the area. - peddy dick

This was the first place I've stayed at where I felt the park was UNDER-priced. Very easy to find off I-27, but can be a bit confusing to navigate for your first time through. Site was a pull-through and extremely wide. Sewer outlet was really far away. All services were good. This place was 90% shaded which was extremely nice during August when it was 95-100 degrees. It has a pool, basketball court, and swing set. It also has a common area with great air conditioning and some games & movies. Laundry here is dirt cheap. Staff is very helpful and nice. Park itself is well-maintained & looks like an actual park. You are next to an airport, but I heard the planes maybe 2-3 times per day & never at night. Many folks here are long term residents, but you wouldn't know it. Highly recommend this park to anyone. As stated, the park is 90% shaded. So if you want to beat the heat, make sure you ask for a shaded site. They will give it to you. - RLT1
Aug 2018 - $30.00
The owners have big plans for this park. This is the only park I know of in West Texas with trees taller than 6'. This is our usual stopover in west Texas when heading west. It is a clean park with about 50% long term residents. The owners are friendly and accommodating. Oh ya, there's green lawn too! - k-n-r
Oct 2017 - $10.00
Neat and well maintained county park. Sites are asphalt paved, about 24 are 50/30/20 full hookup. The rest look to be just 30 amp electric. Rate is going to be increased to $25 in a few months, $20 for seniors. Location is across street from the county jail on the South side of town. It is also next to an active railroad track. Both back in and pull thru sites are available. - Russ & Glynna
Feb 2018 - $35.00
Very clean and quite park. Will stay again when passing through. - OPJXyds
Apr 2011 - $25.00
We need to be in the area for a few months. This is a bare bones RV park with no bath or laundry facilities. Power is good, water is good. The folks running the place are very nice accommodating folks. If you want cable/internet while you're here, you can call up Suddenlink so they can "hook" you up: pun intended. - J59T
Dec 2016 - $40.00
WOW! despite the other reviews, we chose to stay here and had a completely different experience. So, looking at the fact that we were there "off season" vs the reviews in summer... there must be a big difference in having lots of traffic and messy campers in the summer. We found the place to be very clean and pleasant. There was no trash all around, the water was nice, the fishing was fun and pleasant.
There were a lot of big rigs there and most all of us had some problem with getting leveled (we had to try 5 sites to get one where we could level--- arriving in the dark made it harder). The other rigs had obviously used levelers as well as boards to shore up the rig to level.
The woman running the entrance the night we arrived was very nice; the woman the next day was rude and downright hateful.
Highly suggest NOT driving on around the lake thru the residential area with a motorhome and ESPECIALLY if towing--- very narrow and tight.
We can hardly wait to return and have a boat or kayak with us.
We got local tv (plenty of channels) but had almost no cell service-- Verizon : none, Grandson's ATT was always at 1 bar. - ginger2you
Jun 2016 - $35.00
It was very busy during our stay and most of the visitors piggy-backed and parked their extra vehicles on neighboring campsites. I didn't have enough room to properly park my truck. Campers were rowdy and we had to deal with loud music and UTVs into the wee hours. We even had other campers bumping into our trailer and arguing outside our windows from parties that got out of hand. The park police and camp host did nothing to keep things under control. The lake itself has much to offer. - armijot
Jun 2015 - $30.00
Not a great place to stay. The main campground is A and B. Those sites were very close and didn't look too level. There was a live band playing on stage both days we were there. We stayed in campground S, which is across the lake from A and B. The music was at a comfortable level for us, but we were ACROSS the lake!! Would have been miserable to be stuck on that side. Note - this was not a publicized concert. We had no idea of the band until they fired up on Friday.
We would stay there again, but only on the S side. Also, this park DOES NOT take reservations, so for us we drive 2 hours with no guarantee of what is available when we get there.
Lake bottom is nasty, gooey mud that will stick you up to your knees. The S sites are right on the water, so not a bad place if you are just using the RV as a base camp for boats or jet skis. No picnic tables or shade included with your site, just a grassy parking spot. Our site was fairly level, but many others were so far off that they couldn't even get close to leveling their trailers. We did get rain, and most of the spots got really muddy, but it is lakefront so that's expected. We stayed in a fifth wheel. We would probably stay there again, just due to location, but definitely not high on my list to go back to. - rm0852
