Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $35.00
Lots of open and available sites. Sites are large enough with plenty of room behind, but are paved and dirty. Not dog friendly. You can only walk dogs in between & behind rigs in pet only area, which isn't very large. We were told we could transport our 2 very small dogs to outside the gate to walk, but there is no sidewalk and only dried up weeds/grass. The people facilities are very nice with a large indoor pool and rec hall. Dog policy is snobbish, so would not stay here again. We camped at Texas Trails RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $37.00
The sites are wide and deep enough to allow parking a vehicle in front of the RV. Sewer connections are at the back of the lot, so you may need an extension to your hose. The site Wi-Fi internet is quite expensive, but free internet is available in the clubhouse area. Most sites are open for satellite and the Verizon 4G data signal was excellent. This was our second stay here to visit friends and we would stay here again. We camped at Texas Trails RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $37.00
This was to be my fourth year at this Park. I say 'was' because we left after meeting the new management and quickly realizing that some people should never be placed in positions of authority. The new management has forced us to carry our dog over a street (no dogs allowed on streets) in order to access the doggy area; they then told us to 'weed our area'. Hey, I rent this spot and do not own it! The straw was when an argument ensued over my parking in a handicap spot for more than 2 hours, while I was inside enjoying the pool, etc. Hey, I have a sticker and there are no signs with time limits! Don't matter: if the managers say jump, they expect a jump! I decided to move away. Found another park five minutes away in Edinburg and enjoyed a winter away from idiots! Will I return, only after an apology (like that will happen) or the managers move on. Right now the park is at its lowest population in years and people are divided. Sad! I am retired and don't need the BS. We camped at Texas Trails RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $30.00
This is my second year at Texas Trails. I come to this park because of the many friends that have been coming here for years. The monthly rate is $575 plus electricity. The roads and RV spaces are in terrible condition. This time of year grass is sparse and dormant with sand burrs everywhere. Other facilities are top notch. We camped at Texas Trails RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $20.00
This was our second year at Texas Trails. Activities are plentiful, bus trips (free) numerous and friendships bountiful. You can do absolutely nothing, or be active 7 days a week. Not mentioned are a full woodworking shop, stained glass area, carving etc etc etc etc... This is a gated with security park. We also stored our unit over the summer for 25$ a month. Imagine! Any negatives... Yes... the winter flew by much too fast. See you there next year. We camped at Texas Trails RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $30.00
Spent four months here in 2009. Extremely well organized park. Many activities, Indoor and outdoor pool. Great people having fun, day and night. Pet area is limited but well maintained. The price is higher than many but the amenities and people make it a bargain. Free Wi-fi is available anytime but you must take your lap-top into the Friendship Hall. We camped at Texas Trails RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
