27 Parks near Pipe Creek, Texas
Nov 2009 - $25.00
This park is a local beer bust campground. Very loud parties on the weekend. Sites are cramped. As soon as we found out about this one we left quickly. - Justcheckin
Apr 2014 - $14.00
Small park with few amenities but very friendly owner. All sites are level, gravel and separated, not crowded. We love this little park. It's out in the country, has decent access to San Antonio, Berne and Bandera. Good area for birding also. We will be back, in fact are planning on it. - Orlan
Dec 2011 - $13.00
Ours was a Passport America rate. Very friendly owner. A quiet park. We would stay here again. - Mariah
Apr 2009 - $25.00
Park is well run and the owners are on site and very friendly. Usually Cast Iron cookouts monthly. It has quiet and shaded sites. - Justcheckin
Mar 2015 - $10.00
$10 is based on month stay. Electricity extra. Not an overnight stay campground. Most people here stay a month or two. Big spacious sites, grass and trees. Most people have satellite with long cable to get a spot away from trees to get signal. The lake has been dry for several years. Very friendly and clean. Large clubhouse. Pot lucks, dinners, cards, dominoes, bingo, shooting group, woodcarver building, small pool with hot tub, (call office about 30 minutes ahead of time to have hot tub heater turned on) pool table, tennis table, and barbeque grills. Quilters and sewers leave their machines on tables in rear of building. Very social place. Campground is about 10 minutes from highway on curving, hilly road through a residential area. - fander
Aug 2014 - $25.00
An older family friendly park. Owner is awesome! Talk to the office for directions, as it your GPS will not be accurate. You first trip in you will wonder where in the world you are going, but after the first time, it is fine! LOL This is not a park for an overnight stop. Lake is dry due to lack of rain in Texas the past few years but the park is still a nice quite place to hang out for a few days. - TexasRee
Aug 2014 - $30.00
No cable at our site. Lots of trees, so no satellite. Local TV was mostly sales (QVC). Water pressure so low our electric toilet wouldn't operate properly. Our electric OK but others had problems. Gravel site very uneven. One wheel off the ground to level. Lake at 4% capacity and driving through a subdivision for 2-3 miles to reach the park was "interesting". Nice enough but probably won't be back. - kitfoxmod3
Jul 2016 - $41.00
I made a reservation (so I thought) for our 50-amp 5th wheel trailer for the 4th of July weekend (along with two 30-amp sites for my other family members). We were told by the person I made the reservation with that we would have a 50 amp full hook up site. Upon arrival and check in we were told everything was on a first come first served basis and they no longer had any 50 amp sites available. We were given a map of the park and told to "find a spot and let us know what # your are in". While driving through this overgrown and poorly maintained 260 acre "reserve" the top of our 5th wheel hit multiple low hanging trees, passed multiple spots that had not been mowed, had no picnic table, and multiple sites that had 30 amp campers in 50 amp spots as well as tents in RV spots. We also noticed several RV spaces that had EZ Ups on them, bags covering the electrical outlets, and boats and/or empty boat trailers, clearly people holding spots for others. Once we found a spot that did not have any low hanging tree hazards and did not have tall overgrown grass, we parked only to discover there was no sewer hook up in this section of the park!
The park policies clearly state no holding spaces for others and no overnight unoccupied sites allowed, maximum of 2 cars per site and a max of 6 people per site...this was not the case! There were cars EVERYWHERE! The dumpsters were overflowing by Saturday afternoon. The lack of security lead to vandalism in the bathrooms and irresponsible firework displays in high wind, tall grass and low hanging trees. Overall not a good experience we will not return. - Jetandnoche
Apr 2016 - $3.00
We thought this was a very nice TT park and we enjoyed our stay here very much! It is very large and spread out with lots of room and trees between campsites. We stayed in F section very near the lake and loved that area. The wildlife (deer, wild turkey and jackrabbits) roaming throughout the park was a huge highlight for our son. In fact, this was his favorite campground of all 20 we've been to so far. He loved feeding the deer at our campsite each night! The pool area is a good distance from the family activity area but very doable on bike, otherwise, you might want to drive it! The pool is huge but not heated although we did swim in it in April-refreshing for sure! The kiddie pool was warmer. Nice hot tub. The activity room had a pool table, jigsaw puzzles to work, 2 large screen tv's and a separate play area for little ones. Even a small chapel room for church services (not every week, tho). Outside they have a basketball court, ping pong, mini golf and a big playground. They offer meals on the weekends which are excellent and very reasonable! Every Friday evening they have a weenie roast, as well. Also nice family oriented activities over the holidays. The lake is nearly full and there are docks for fishing. We saw lots of folks using the boat launch facilities, too. Large playground and small fenced idog walk area near lake as well. The setting is very pretty and woodsy and the lake is beautiful, peaceful and huge! The roads throughout the campground are paved and in decent shape. Most of the sites are gravel, with a few concrete pads, but quite level. The old house and barn near the pool are very interesting. The home was moved to this site when they flooded the river to create the lake in 1912! Wild flowers all around the grounds in the spring! Very slow wifi in the activity center but our Verizon hotspot worked fine. No cable but we did get some local stations with our antenna. We would definitely return to this campground. We camped here in a motorhome. - Jeni
Apr 2016 - $3.00
This was a thousand trails park, I stayed for free with my membership. $3 for 50 amp upgrade.
The main disadvantage to this park was the distance from the main lodge to the pool/laundry area.
The pool was nice, Not heated. The kids pool that was warm enough to swim in at the beginning of April. A nice size main pool, and a hot tub for those over age 18.
Laundry was 6 washers/6 dryers for $1.50 each. Clean and working.
Lodge had a nice little kids' corner with a rug and baby toys. Also an 18+ reading room. The main tables were set nice and they are working on getting the cafe staffed and running. Right now just weekends on the cafe.
They had an over 18 pool table indoors and a kids pool table outdoors.
Multiple playgrounds. 70's style with metal slides and wood frames.
Pickle ball was under the pavilion by the lodge. Not fenced.
minigolf had a nice concrete path leading from hole to hole, but the greens were worn, but useable.
The boat docks were a disaster because of the water levels the past 5 years. The lake is coming back up 65% but the boat docks are unusable.
Walking paths are overgrown. You can see the foot path, but my 5 year old had to duck under trees in places. We opted to walk in the road. Which was OK on a mild, shady day - but with the walk 1 mile to the lodge from the pool, it would be nice to have a shady path as an option!
This park has some old weird barns and buildings in the part near the pool.
Overall, I think this park is rebuilding. You can see that there are some areas that are cute and nice and others that are forgotten. - mmette00
Jun 2015 - $15.00
Chose this park because it was affiliated with Coast to Coast. After driving about 10 miles down a paved country road, filled with numerous potholes, arrived at a locked gate to what appeared to be a trailer park. Called the number to the "clubhouse" and was told someone would arrive to allow us entry in a few minutes. After more that a 15 minute wait, we followed another vehicle in. Found the RV park, which was behind the "clubhouse". It was completely empty, not one rig. We drove around to select a spot and observed that the grass at all spots was extremely high, I mean at least 2 feet high - obvious has not been mowed in a long time. Most spots had picnic tables that were so warped by the sun they were unusable. We picked a spot in front of the restroom/shower building and my wife went in to use the restroom and I parked. She came right out and said there were 2 women and a man in the ladies room and that the room was very trashy, she was a little spooked. She also noted there were no locks on the door. While I was waiting on the wife, I looked at the spot's power pedestal that looked like it had been backed over. I would not have hooked up to it. We decided that this park wasn't for us so we just left. We did not go into the "Clubhouse" so I can't comment on the staff. We did feel that it was a shame the park was in such a sad state of repair, the area actually looked pretty nice with lots of shade trees. Wonder if their Coast to Coast affiliation is still valid? I would not recommend this RV Park. - CU-RVers
Jan 2015 - $10.00
Since this park was listed with coast to coast we endeavored to book a site. When we called the park directly on a Wednesday and were advised that we needed to call coast to coast which we did. However when we called back there was no answer and a voice mail about office closure Monday to Wednesday and to leave a message for a call back- no call back ever came. We actually found the park in the dark after numerous misplacement or rather we think we found the park. There was no actual signage So if indeed we did find it and what we saw were sites we would not fit due to low hanging wires.
We ended up finding our way back out in the dark and going further down the road to a easier access grounds. Definitely not planning to return. It is my understanding that we were able to cancel the remaining 8 nights but forfeited a night as a no show. So definitely, absolutely not returning This is 7 miles down a paved road which then turns to a almost 2 lane unmarked, pothole ridden dirt road. - witchey1
Aug 2014 - $10.00
The rate is Coast to Coast. This park is in the hill country and rather remote. The road to it is very hilly with lots of dips that potentially can flood and close the road to the park. You have to go slowly. We left the park early because a major rain storm was coming and the road probably would be closed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park could use some maintenance, e.g., grass cutting. The clubhouse and pool are nice. The sites are level but close together. Not many RVs were in the park when we were there. It is a good idea to call ahead if you are arriving on a Monday through Wednesday since the office is closed, even if you have a reservation. We would not stay here again. - JGockel
Feb 2016 - $30.00
This park has new owners who completely cleaned out all of the old permanent and semi-permanent guests. Every site is open to nightly or weekly guests. This is not a workers campground it is a travelers campground. It is clean and is easy to get in and out of. Great for one or two nights with a friendly old host and a nightly security gate. - Kwanah
Jan 2015 - $30.00
Small but organized park that accepts drive up campers late at night. Even with dirt roads it was easy access and easy to maneuver. Management was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Because it was after dark we were allowed to pick a site and the site required no extra leveling. Would definitely stay there again. We were in transit but did stay 2 nights rather than the 1 night planned. - witchey1
Feb 2012 - $18.00
The rate reflects the PA Rate for a Big Rig Site. This rate is all that the park should be charging as they have no washrooms (sign on door says RVs should have their own and with high cost of propane they are closed effective June 2011), no Wi-Fi (changed their policy so available only for permanent residents), no amenities of any kind, and a Laundry that is pretty poor with 3 very old washers and only 1 working dryer. There were only about 8 other RVs and all but one was a permanent unit. The office is not staffed and to register you have to pick up the red phone at the door which connects you to the resident manager who lives in one of the permanent units. I made a reservation ahead, and when arrived and phoned the manager she said to just go to my assigned site (#13) and she would register me later. Little did I know that later meant the next day in the afternoon! If you are looking for just an overnight site or for a couple of nights and are totally self contained and don't need to use their laundry then for $18 ($15 PA rate for regular site) not a bad place to stay. The Big Rig sites are very long pull throughs which are easy to get into and out of and reasonably level. There is some road noise during the day but at night it is very quiet despite being located on highway 16. - User1203
Mar 2013 - $20.00
This is an older park that has had few upgrades. The restrooms are old and the washing machines and dryers just are awful! It's in an ideal location and most sites are large, but overall it's a dusty park since the roads and sites are not paved. The current, not so friendly manager, does not take into consideration where she parks the rigs. She put our friends into a 30 amp site and they needed 50 amp. A lot of "bikers" were staying in the park and the loud music and their partying was disturbing! We've stayed in other parks that allowed motorcycles, but they had rules that asked everyone to respect their neighbor. They only cared about filling the sites and not caring about the ramifications that others had to content with. This could be an excellent park but needs a bit of TLC! - Travelin' about
Sep 2012 - $11.00
Stayed 2 nights at PPA rate of $11. Very nice smaller park and convenient to town. If you have not been to Bandera, put it on your bucket list. Enjoyed the park, would have been a 10 but showers/rest rooms needed some cleaning. - dontexas
Apr 2012 - $14.00
Good location on the edge of Bandera which is a nice small town. We stayed three nights, two at PPA rate and one at full rate so have showed average, very good value. Restrooms and laundry are old but clean and adequate. There is also a nice activity room. Everyone was friendly, and it all seems to be well kept.WiFi worked well, you get an hour for each log in but you can just log in again when time is up. - Arthur and Freda
Apr 2016 - $25.00
We held a get together for a group of solo women RVers here. The staff was great.... friendly and helpful. The pool is nice, the Recreation Center and kitchen which we used for the get together was nice. We weren't too thrilled when we saw the side by side hookups but they worked out fine since everyone in the campground was considerate and quiet. The electric, water, and sewer hookups all worked. Internet was okay for an RV park. They provide cable TV hookups which worked pretty well. - longdog2
Apr 2016 - $10.00
Our cost was per night for a one month stay.
Staff and management were very helpful and friendly. The park is very clean and well maintained. Most stores and attractions are within walking distance as the park is conveniently located.
Lots of activities for the park residents during the winter months. The sites are close, but we did not find that a problem. We plan to return next year. - Jan Griff
Mar 2016 - $26.00
Nice park. We had a back-in lower level. OTA TV and WiFi adequate. Walking distance to town (5 min). Saturday morning breakfast was great and very reasonably priced. - Kemptvillekids
Mar 2016 - $10.00
We booked a 4 night stay at this park. When we arrived we paid for the 4 days at the PA rate of $10 a day. They said we would have to go into the new section because our 5th was too large for the old section. Our fiver is 32' long. We paid and went to our site (41). It would appear that all the trailers in this park are permanent or seasonal residents. Our site was so small and with so many trees around it that only a Smart car with cart could have backed into that spot. We went back to the office and told them we could not fit into any of the available sites (many were so uneven that you would never be able to level any RV). I would not recommend this park to anyone. The only positive about this park was the girl at the cash and the refunding of our money. - Kemptvillekids
