Our price is half price for Passport America. Rate is $40 with FHU: so 2 days PA and then 3rd day full price. The park is is very open and fairly roomy. 95% of the people here are permanent residences. We were here a month after Harvey had given them armpit high water. There is a levy right behind their property, and I was told it wasn't put down soon enough but that it had also breached it.

The park was pretty clean considering what they had dealt with. Alot of RV's here showed signs of trouble. The ones that were removed, the removal company would leave behind the water and sewer hoses. We had a set on our site: pretty disgusting that the park owners or hosts hadn't come out and cleaned this stuff up. There were patches of grass on each side of our RV. A yellow table that was severely paint peeling and warped. (Not usable). Looked like the permanents were given new red ones.

It was quiet. ATT worked great, didn't use park wifi. Being no trees, satellite dish did very well. The permanents were very friendly and were anxious to share their stories from their Harvey experience. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Motorhome.

They claim park is about 7 years old but it looks brand new. Super clean and neat, everyone is quiet and polite. Check in was easy, copy of drivers lic. was normal for identification. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for 4 nights in a 42' motorhome, towing. Our site was long enough for us without unhooking out toad. Our site #80 had a problem with the electric kicking off when we ran 2 AC units. We were allowed to move to site 78 and had no more problems. This park is mostly long terms but the sites are kept fairly clean and neat. Since the long terms work, there is a lot of traffic as they come home from work. The speed limit is not enforced, but should be as there are a lot of children playing in the park. They have a fenced dog run, but dogs are not picked up after. The biggest complaint we had was the attitude of the long blonde haired girl in the office. If you're looking for a welcoming face, keep going. No warm and fuzzy here. She'll get the job done eventually, but you're putting her out asking for any help. We'd stay here again because we know what to expect and what not to expect. It's easy in and out as far as I10 is concerned. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a typical RV park where the sites are super close together and you have no privacy. It's not the type of place we prefer to spend a lot of time because it wouldn't be that pleasant sitting outside of the RV so close to the neighbor's sewer line. But it was perfect for our purposes. It was easy in and out, they take Passport America and we were only in town for a weekend to visit relatives so we didn't spend much time at the campground anyway. Check-in was a little unusual. I had to fill out a long form (almost like an application to stay there), and they made a copy of my driver's license. I have never had to do that at an RV park before so I thought it was strange, and overkill for just a 2 night stay. The park was clean and they had lots of laundry machines so it was also a great place to catch up on laundry. Verizon worked very well there. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Floyd's has the best seafood! But go early, it's where all the locals seem to go and they know this place is good, so it gets very busy. We went at 4pm on a Saturday and there was already a 20 minute wait!

Right off the highway so easy access. Attractive and well laid out with long concreted pads. Sites are level, utilities easy to access and wifi was good. I was parked two rows from the road and the highway noise, particularly when people were going to and from work, was distracting. Perhaps a site further back would be quieter. Large clean laundry room and clean restroom there--did not use the ones at the bath house but will assume they are equally well maintained. I gave a rating of "excellent" with reservation only because of the highway noise. Otherwise, this is a very nice park with the needs of the RVer in mind. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Recommend the Museum of the Gulf Coast. It has many interesting exhibits and the highlight is Janis Joplin--very well done. The historic area where the museum is located is worth a look in itself. All the shopping you could want and then some is just down the road with many shopping centers.

Rate is Passport America with 3 people, there is a $5 charge per extra person.

Rv park has concrete pads, no shade which sucks in the Texas heat, but at least it's not in the mud.

Power and water worked great, the showers are clean and the bathroom would make a great hiding place for a zombie apocalypse!

Wifi didn't work very well and no streaming allowed, which means facebook bogged down if you had any videos on your feed.

Long list of park rules, but half of them didn't seem to be followed by the people staying in the park. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park for a night or 2, especially with Passport America. Very clean and nice lawns and pull through sites with concrete pads. Laundry appears adequate and reasonable cost. Could use some bushes and/or trees for privacy and shade. Close to town. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A park dedicated to workers. Even the bathrooms have no soap or paper towels for hand washing. We find the name Resort does not apply here for visitors.

Check in was great, manager informative and efficient.

Sites and property big, any size rig will fit. Most units clean and neat, not junky.

We had one lady with kid and dog in tow cut thru our site, and other sites, with no respect for other people.

They could do better if they wanted visitors and not just workers. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Fine park. Site was level. Office staffer was very friendly, accommodating and allowed us to get receipt and complete forms next morning so we could get to site and hook up. Cable very good but also good digital broadcast TV. Near stores. Many full-timers but very quite and all with well maintained rigs and sites. Only complaint was that Wi-Fi reception fairly weak. But we were in furthest site from off (No.101). T Mobile worked well. Rate Passport America - 2 nights. We camped at Port Arthur RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Management is very people unfriendly. They just doesn't know how to be nice! Continuously complaining about your site not being immaculate. Can't even have toys out she really doesn't care for children the swing set is close to the main highway which people fly down. Its a clean park with a fussy old lady running it with an iron spoon.
