We have stayed at this park 4-5 times previously and had wonderful time, and love the park. However this time we got set up and found the cable tv not working. I called the manager and he came over about 30 minutes later with an extreme attitude. He complained to me that I woke him from his nap, and blah, blah, blah. He tested the cable box and thought he found the problem with our cable reception, and it worked for awhile. He also said they had cable issues due to a lightening strike there. I fished the next morning and wife called him and said the cable didn't work and now had sewer smell in rv. I got back to rv and he was there working on it and again, thought he fixed cable, and told me there was nothing wrong with his sewer it was coming up from our tanks. He said this in a very ugly tone. He also started informing me that my friends boat couldn't be parked behind our rv. I told him we were unloading and would move it. He said "you'd better" and stormed off. Later at the pool, in front of at least 12 people, he proceeded to chew out another man for leaving his boat by his rv. This lasted about 2 full minutes. He mans wife even started crying and said something to him and he turned his tirate towards her. The next day after fishing, we had boat at rv unloading and he stopped and proceeded to chew me out again! There were several people across the road from us and they had blank stares on their faces. I informed him we were unloading and would move it when done. He again, in a non pleasant tone, said "you'd better". After he left the lady across the street came over and said she couldn't believe how rude he was. I agreed, as did my wife and our friends. My family and I have been rving for over a dozen years all over south Texas at numerous parks and I have never encounter such a rude and obnoxious person in charge of an rv park. I will "NEVER" stay here again, nor recommend this park. I also will tell all that ask about rv parks in Port Oconner, not to stay here. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Wonderful park in a peaceful little fishing village on the Gulf waters. Just blocks to the Intercoastal or Bay. Staff is friendly and helpful in all matters. Park is CLEAN and neat. Compacted level gravel pads with grass and plenty of room between sites. All utilities worked well. Reasonable priced laundry, very clean facility. Free WIFI and cable worked well. Only complaint is pool not heated but we find that a lot in South Texas. Would have used pool daily if heated. Rate listed above based on monthly rate of $300. Park is convenient to all that Port O'Connor has to offer. This is a relax and enjoy life park. No activity calendar or club house. Just a peaceful place to enjoy life and the Texas coast. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Dolphin watch daily at POC Marine Center on the Intercoastal. Great Deli in the Speedy Stop. Long, lighted fishing pier and nice bayfront park. Plenty of places to fish in the area.

Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite RV parks. We were very impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the park. All facilities were immaculate. We stayed during the winter, which is a quiet time in the park. Many of the RVs were in the park for storage, and there were only a few people actually staying in the park while we were there. This is perfect for us, since we were looking for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed the jacuzzi on most evenings, and the weather was absolutely perfect during our stay. We had cable TV access, and the Internet was the best that we have encountered at any RV park. The water pressure was good and the sites were very level. The owners were very friendly and informative, and you can tell that they really care about the park. The daily rate reflects monthly price + electricity charge. We would definitely camp here again. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed walking on the beach/pier when the tide was low.

Marty's Landing has outstanding fried chicken.

Breakfast tacos at La Morena were excellent and only $2-3.

Definitely bring your beach cruiser and kayak, this is a great location for both!

Wonderful find. All facilities we very clean, and everything presented on their website is exactly as listed. Bathrooms were nicer than some peoples home!! We were greeted by the owner himself, who was very personable and helpful. Unfortunately, the weather turned nasty, and we only stayed one night. Would definitely recommend staying here. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice, well maintained campground with friendly management. Charging an extra $10 ($40/nite) for 50 amp service seems out of line. The cable reception was horrible. WiFi worked well. They provide a boat wash station which is great! I would use this park again but with my own satellite system. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Motorhome.

What a find! We stayed at this park on an emergency basis when our reservations at Oceanside RV Park in nearby Magnolia Beach were given away without notice to another RV'er that would be staying for more days than we booked. This is an excellent park. We stayed three nights. Had very friendly and helpful management. It's very clean and well maintained. Has numerous pull through sites. Though gravel, the sites are level and adequately spaced. Also has a nice area of grass between sites with a picnic table. Has a very nice pool with spa. It's only a short drive to the beach. The nightly rate includes a $10/day charge for 50 amp service. I assume that 30 amp is less. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The Rate reflects the monthly rate. It is a great park with great personable management. They live on the grounds and make themselves known to one and all. The park now has a new pool, rally room, laundry room and new bath/shower area which were spotless. The sites are easy in and out (pull-through), wide, level gravel with green grass right out side your door plus a picnic table. The cable left a little to be desired (only 16 channels) but the Wi-Fi was strong and very stable. It was able to upload pictures for a blog in record time. All-in-all a good place especially if you like to fish or hunt in season. We will be back. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The rate I have shown reflects a monthly rate and estimated electrical costs. Very noisy early in the mornings due to all the airboats. Due to the cheap rates, a lot of sites have RVs on them but the owners are not here. Small stores are close by but for real shopping the big stores are 25 miles away. Make sure your LPG tanks are full before you arrive. I paid $4 a gallon. Although the park has a great pool and hot tub and a nice clubhouse we would not stay here again. I agree with the other previous reviews. This park is great. Everything is new and clean. The staff is very friendly. And the rate is very reasonable. This rate I noted, is the monthly rate. This park is the best kept secret in Texas. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The best RV park in Port O'Connor. This new park has long, level, gravel pads and grass between the sites. There is generous spacing between the sites and flowers and trees around the park. The tile bathrooms are luxurious. The club room, at this time, is a work in progress. When finished it will have a full kitchen, a television, and it will be a great place to congregate. Installation of a pool and hot tub will begin soon. The laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers and you can sit on the covered porch and relax while waiting for your laundry. We were looking for a peaceful place to ride our bicycles, go kayaking, and bird watching. Port O'Connor was the perfect place and the Port O'Connor RV Park was the perfect place to stay. If you are into fishing this area, located on the intercoastal waterway and Lavaca Bay, is very popular. The owners are the greatest. They are friendly, gracious and helpful. They are determined to have a great RV park and provide RV'ers with a great place to stay. We stayed 7 weeks and plan to return as soon as possible. We camped at Port O'Connor RV Park in a Motorhome.
