1 RV Park near Presidio, Texas
Mar 2014 - $22.00
$110 per week or $250 per month plus 15¢/kWh for electricity for a full hookup site. They do offer a one night Passport America rate of $15 that includes electricity for that night. Dirt/gravel sites are mostly level and there is adequate room for deploying slides and awnings. Each site has a picnic table. No wood fires are allowed. Heavy desert vegetation surrounds the campground on three sides in addition to other shrubs planted by the owners. There is a golf course across the highway that is part of the RV park. The night sky offers wonderful stargazing opportunities. There are many “Winter Texans” as well as “real” Texans who are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. It’s about five miles into Presidio where there is a grocery store as well as a couple of gas stations/banks/hardware stores/etc. Necessary items are available. If you like walking/hiking/biking/four-wheeling there are many miles of trails/roadway in and near the park. We received three bars 4G service on our AT&T phone and three bars 4G LTE on our Millenicom jetpack, which we used for Wi-Fi access. Wi-Fi is included in the rate but it can be slow at times. Four cable TV channels are included in the rate. There is a border crossing into Ojinaga, MX. You shouldn’t drive over to Ojinaga unless you have Mexican vehicle insurance, which is true of any Mexican border. If you do go south of the border (remember your passport), everyone says ¡Hola! and all are helpful and friendly. - DD Rolling Ranch

This park is only open during the winter months because of the high heat in the summer months. Staying during the summer months is permissible though on the honor system. The 18 hole golf course was closed this winter due to flooding in September. All spaces are 70x40 pull-thru and full 20/30/50 hookups. The cable TV system consist of only 4 channels during the winter months but it's better than nothing. The cable TV system does not work on all sites. The laundry consist of 2 washers and 3 dryers on the honor system. There is a fee based Wi-Fi signal here from the city. The interior roads are dirt and dusty. There are no shade trees. It may not look it but it is very safe here and I will return again. - Capn Kenny and Nancy Sallee

This is not a good CG (dust bowl), it is not kept up and needs a lot of work . There was no one on duty at the time we were at the CG. All payment is on honor system. - Bubbadan#1
