If you ride a motorcycle or have a medium to large sized dog, pass on this park. It is all very large rock that is not packed very well. It's like riding in quick sand. All back up spots. Very close quarters with newly planted trees between. Price reflects weekly rate and no discounts are offered. Ladies in the office are very friendly, however, be prepared to complete enough paperwork to feel like you are purchasing a house. Will stay down the road at Shady Creek if in the area again. Mostly permanent residents. Road to the furthest park is in dire need of repairs We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Needed a place close to Plano and Mckinney. Very quiet place with easy access to Plano, McKinney, Allen. Spots are large gravel close to level spots. Wide roads and beautiful crepe myrtles all around. Wi-fi was terrific. Has large dog walking area which was great but hadn't been mowed in a while so grass was shin high. Has laundry area and people both in office and staying at park were very friendly. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was the best park we found to stay in that was close to Allen and Plano. Nice long and wide gravel spaces to park RV and two vehicles. Good gravel roads, good WiFi, friendly Staff. Lafon's has three parks in the area, We stayed at the one about a half mile south of the office. We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park, the office help is very friendly. It does, however have some drawbacks. The office is not close to the park they put us in, so since we had to unhook at the office, we were unable to look at the park before going to it. The roads were covered with recently installed larger than normal crushed rock, if you have weak ankles or bad feet, it is hard to walk. Had we known this ahead of time we would not have stayed. Laundry facility has 3 washer & 3 dryers, they are in a cargo trailer & had it not been for a neighbor we would not have known that was where the facility was. There was a storm shelter. We would not stay there again. We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have been stopping here 2-3 times a year at the main park or their Bratonia park about a mile away, for the last six years. Up until this year, they did not accept reservations. Starting this year, I was told when we arrived, they will take reservations. I advise you to get one. Every year the parks have seemed to be fuller and fuller regardless of the time of year. We were unable to get a site at any of their 3 parks for Christmas week. More and more they are accepting long term/permanent campers. The main park is now over 95% long term/permanent sites (according to the management). I know the small park behind the office is all long term and suspect the Bratonia park has about the same percentage long term as the main park. We like to stay at LaFon's, but will be camping elsewhere when we return to the area in March. FYI you must be self contained, they have no shower houses, or laundry facilities in any of the parks. We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Motorhome.

We're professional travelers, and this is one of the nicer parks we've found. The owners are nice folks and have numerous businesses in Princeton and they demonstrate that great handshake-and-a-smile customer service you find in rural areas. The Lakeview park is a recent addition, with 39 RV spaces and a nice laundry rig back in #40. It's quiet, the spaces are nice, the other RV'ers are friendly and watch out for each other: all this and the usual (in)conveniences of the city! We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, quiet park. Wide spaces between spots. Water view of Lake Lafon. No cable but over the air TV reception is good. Wi-Fi is excellent. No restrooms or laundry. We would stay here again. We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small park but very clean. Wide spaces between spots. Very quiet. Water view of Lake Lafon. The man who owns this campground is very friendly, and easy to get along with. Only drawback I can see about this park is it does not have a laundry mat nor cable hook up. Does get a few channels. It does however has an excellent wi-fi reception. Would stay here again. We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

I lived in this park for about five months. I really enjoyed living here. It is not the most extravagant park, but it is very nice, quiet, and Mr. and Mrs. Lafon are VERY nice folks. The sites are gravel and there is plenty of room. The internet was nice although I had a few problems with it. However, the man who operates the internet came out to help me out. I only got one channel on my antenna, but my antenna was messed up. There was no cable. This is a nice place to stay. We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
