Nice little park and the owners are improving it regularly - will have a dog park soon and it does have a nice rally room and a pool. There is a little noise from the highway but not more than most parks. The owners are very nice and anxious to please. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived on a Sunday, the office and Cotton Gin were closed. Cash or check only when office is closed, unless you paid by phone. The sites are dirt sites, near the road. Cable didn't work, but it wasn't guaranteed either. It is a good overnight stop. I did walk around the grounds. The pool was dirty and not usable. The sites were neat and clean. Signs were a little confusing, but doable. Didn't try the internet. Kind of pricey for what you get. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

Website advertised TV included. Cable TV was not working when we were here (which was the main reason we chose this park). Very loud train horns every hour or two all night long. Otherwise, the park was very clean and WIFI was very strong. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

Extremely well manicured park. Grass sights and spacious. We stayed one night. AT & T cell phone service worked well. Wifi was adequate. Used our satellite for TV. They do have cable but not guaranteed that it will work. It did work for us but was very fuzzy. Staff very nice. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were only there one nite and were arriving late so I called and gave them a credit card and they put all the paperwork in the electrical box at our site. We had a long pull thru so we didn't have to unhook. Easy in and out. Not a big place but great for a stopover. Nothing close so you want to have your frig stocked. Cable didnt work but they said it was not guaranteed that it would. Dish worked We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight on our way to Dallas. The park was very well kept and the staff was very friendly and helpful. As another reviewer mentioned, the sticker burrs were bad (pretty common in Texas), so I was constantly removing them from the dog, but other than that, no complaints. OK for overnight close to 287. Dry and dusty. Cost is higher if you get a picnic table. But that is the only thing different than the other sites. Rock/dirt pull-through pads. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Thanks for taking the time to give us a review! Hope you'll get a chance to take a dip in the pool next time you're through on these dry dusty days of the Texas plains.

Attractive park for the area. There are trees, and landscaping around and old cotton gin building nicely landscaped. There is a swimming pool and laundry, 2 multi-gender bathrooms. There are rattlesnakes around - this is West Texas in the summer. They warn you and the area is well mowed, so if you're careful, you should be fine. There is a road runner on guard as well. :) Pleasant stop on the way to the 40. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

The advanced reservation made check-in smooth. Reserve pull-throughs early. They filled up. Just a note, the registration parking is a nice loop. Park in the loop. That way when you get your site, you won't have to go around the park or back-up to access your site. There was evidence of a few wet days in ruts created by RV and vehicle tires just for reference. The full hook-up site utilities were all functional. The Park was well groomed despite the dry conditions. The pool was cleaned by 1 pm and was a nice, relaxing amenity. Since we arrived on Sunday, we did not meet the staff. The Gin nor the office/gift shop were open. Looking through the window, both would have been fun to visit. Bugs were not an issue, but the burrs in the grass posed a challenge for the dog. Just make sure you check their pads after a walk! We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed our stay. The park was clean, staff were courteous, sites were wide, and the pull-throughs sites were long. Sites are well maintained, level, and most had picnic tables. Interior roads and sites are gravel. Cell reception was good. There are warnings about snakes, but this is west Texas and a friendly reminder is welcome as there is nothing to be done except watch them (we saw none while here). The park is near highway 287 and train tracks, but we found the noise not to be a problem. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. We holed up here for several nights waiting out weather. Everything was as advertised. Sites are spacious and easy to access. Everything worked fine except as others have noted, cable TV leaves much to be desired but we didn't stop here to watch tv. Our dogs were very interested in locating the cats but they stayed well hidden, but their poop was pretty obvious. No obvious train or highway noise even though both are nearby. Manager was helpful on phone as well as in person. We came in on a Sunday when office is closed so just parked and settled up on Monday. Will stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

Quanah is about 9 miles South and Childress about 20 North. Not much in Quanah but Childress has a good bbq place and a truck stop where DEF is available. May not be the middle of nowhere but you can see it from here.
