This campground did have hookups and was near the river. These were the only good things about the campground. Sites were very dirty with sticker weeds all over the campground. We will never stay there again. We camped at Nana's RV Park on the Frio in a Motorhome.

We repeated a trip to Nana's this past May. The owners continue to provide updates to the park, and have become friends during our stays. We had a group of friends join us this year (four other units), and all had a great time at the river and going to the Garner Dance at night. Everyone with us booked another trip before departure. Repeat business is the best compliment. The bathrooms remain very clean, as do the grounds. We camped at Nana's RV Park on the Frio in a Travel Trailer.

This was our fourth trip to Nana's, twice in the summer of '09 and twice in the summer of '10. It's a new park (2009), and the owners continue to make noticeable improvements each time we visit. The sites are all fairly level, and when not, we have always been able to level with one board. The restrooms are impeccably clean and the owners remain on-site and make a visible presence. It's a hike down to the river, (all of 2 to 4 minutes), but the trail is asphalted with handrails, and the owner has a 'mule' and will haul your stuff down when he's available. Per our kids..."Who needs a pool when you have the Frio River!!!" They easily entertain themselves for hours on end with the rope swings, minnow catching, critter finding, etc. And sitting in the Frio for us older 'kids' is enjoyment enough. Garner State Park is a short five minute drive away (or the kids walk across the dam), and the nightly dances during the summer are a must for any age. When pulling out, we always book our next stay, as the park is becoming ever more full during each of our visits. It's rapidly being discovered by others. We camped at Nana's RV Park on the Frio in a Travel Trailer.

Second year to stay at Nana's and have loved it. Campground is kept very clean, bathrooms have to be the cleanest I've seen with individual shower rooms. Walk to river a little bit of a hike, but my 87 year old grandma walked down and back several times during our stay. We will be going back next year. We camped at Nana's RV Park on the Frio in a Fifth Wheel.

The only thing this park has as a positive is the Frio River. No one actively works the office, nor returns phone calls, so if you want to go, be persistent. The river was great once you got there, but the access is even pretty rustic from the RV Park. They do have fire rings at each site, but the sites were not level. The park is a gravel parking lot, and difficult to traverse, as the sites were mostly close together. They also charge an extra $3 per person after the first 2, so we paid $9 a night more for our three kids. We thought that was outrageously high rate when there are no activities. Luckily, we have a Texas State Park Pass and went to Garner State Park each day for activities. We'll certainly look for an alternative before returning here. We camped at Nana's RV Park on the Frio in a Fifth Wheel.
