We were here with a rally. Lots of full timers (or winter Texans) at this campground. The club house is VERY large with several individual rooms for playing cards or games and a library. There is an indoor pool. Parking is very limited around the clubhouse. There were no signs that said No Parking. We pulled up along the side of the building to drop off a handicapped person. A few minutes later a groundskeeper came up to us and very rudely told us to move our car and to do it NOW. He then stormed off leaving us speechless at his attitude. When brought to management's attention, they shrugged their shoulders. The staff at all levels need interpersonal communication skills training badly.

Be prepared to be told to park on the grass. Usually we're told to STAY OFF THE GRASS but here they told us to park our tow vehicle on the grass because the site wasn't long enough for both the RV and tow vehicle. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I have never complained about a park before but I must say that Lagoons RV park in Rockport has the worst customer service and interest in "the customer" that I have ever experienced. I heard they were sold recently and it's the new management but man they are difficult to work with. This park is NOT DOG FRIENDLY!! If you have pet's keep on looking.. They have a poor excuse for a dog walk with no lighting, pet waste stations or fence borders, just signs everywhere that say no pets. Plan on getting berated and verbally abused by the maintenance crew if your pet walks off the paved road and on to any grassy area going to and from the "walk area" or the grass area on the borders of the "walk area". Their poor customer service and attitude was astounding. We had a very bad experience and left early. I was cursed at and harassed for my dog lifting his leg and peeing on one of those signs. I just wanted to warn anyone thinking about this place for a vacation spot with their pets.

WIFI only in clubhouse and office. It was disabled for the other parts of the park. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Good amenities but no WiFi except in clubhouse. Provide a very personable Rally coordinator. Narrow sites with very little room to circle chairs for a group larger than 4. Some employees are curt to rude, which caused several in our group to decide not to use this park again. Allows pets, but management is not dog friendly. Dog walks are distant from sites, unfenced, and staff is ugly if dog doesn't make it to the appropriate spot. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here for 7 years during the winter months. The sites are VERY tight and as rigs get bigger with more slide-outs, the space between the rigs is very small. The park is old, but in a good location for stores and restaurants. New owners/managers have decided that wifi should not be a park amenity. WHAT? No RV park I know has such a wifi program (was not 'secure' was the reason for the removal). There is some wifi available that the clubhouse (WHICH BECOMES EASLY OVERLOADED), "and we don't mind you coming up to the clubhouse in the PJs to use the internet". Also, a new park policy prohibits deliveries from UPS or FedEx during the time the mail room is open (1-4) so all drivers now schedule there drops at the park during those hours so they only have to make one stop instead of bringing the package to your site. "Releaves congestion". Lots of new parks in the area. Suggest you explore before choosing Lagoons. Prices go up, services go down. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We really liked this park. Very friendly staff and other campers. Mostly a seasonal crowd so we didn't participate in any of the organized activities but nevertheless had a good time. The interior roads are a tad tight but not enough to worry about (we have a 43' motorhome). Backing in was tight but again not hard. Staff provided excellent assistance. We did not use the wifi but relied on our phones and ATT. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our stay was GREAT! Management and staff was kind and friendly. The staff was considerate of all our needs and helped us get parked. The grounds, pool, hot tub, coffee shop were all beautiful. The restrooms and showers were all very clean. Lots of dog walks and well maintained. Whenever we needed something done for us the maintenance team was there and got it done very timely. Office staff were friendly and helped us with our summertime reservation. Park is located in a great area and close enough to everything to even walk. Lots of beautiful trees and had no problem getting internet in the clubhouse. We are definitely returning and will recommend to all our friends and family. Lagoons has been our home away from home for the last ten years allowing us to get away from the cold, snowy winter weather in the Mid-US. We spend about three months here each year and really enjoy the casual hometown feel of Rockport. It is a small, not-too-touristy town with a beautiful gulf-front beach, good fishing, plenty of restraunts, and nearby attractions including golf courses and numerous big-city entertainment venues in Corpus Christi about a half hour away. Lagoons RV park is conveniently located to most everything, is well maintained, has lots of trees and grass with all-paved roads and RV sites (which can be very important when staying near a costal area with blowing dust and sandy soil), excellent guest facilities including a large indoor pool, meeting hall with stage, hobby rooms, pool tables, library, laundry and even a snack bar.

Numerous performance shows, dances, special breakfast and dinner events, and a variety other kinds of social activities fill the winter schedule. It is always great to return each year and see familiar faces and renew close friendships made over the last decade. Populating the park are a variety of full-time residents, extended stay visitors (like us), weekly vacationers and campers who just happen by for a night or two, with children being rather rare in comparison to most of the rest of us who are retirees. The park has ample storage area for extra boat and utility trailers, special pet-friendly walking areas and extra parking spaces when necessary.

The park offers a few efficiency cottages for overnight and weekly rental, with reservations best being made weeks (or months) in advance because they are very popular. We leave our RV at Lagoons year-round and don't attempt to haul it around any more - we finally found our winter shangri-la, and figure why look anywhere else. Rockport is a low-crime area with a sea-shore atmosphere (reminds me a lot of the Florida Keys about 50 years ago), and (more) We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The rate reflects a "rally rate." We were surprisingly impressed with this park, which appears to be pretty well maintained. The sites were far enough apart to get slides out, with some space between rigs. We had just enough room to park our tow vehicle in front of our rig, sideways. Not all had shade, however. The staff in the office were pleasant and helpful. The clubhouse was amazing -- catering to "winter Texans" with a huge activity room, indoor pool, laundry with 10 washers and 10 dryers, large library, billiard room with 3 pool tables, and a snack bar open in winter. The only big drawback, in my opinion, is that they have no WiFi except in the clubhouse. The location of the park is great-- close to everything yet off a main highway. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed with a group of Airstream in a rally. First time user. The park was immaculately clean, the community-building/kitchen/mtg room excellent in every respect. Park mgr met us and helped us to our site. The actual owners are "absentee" (a partnership from Canada) but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. True, no campsite trash pickup, but trash bins conveniently located. We had a back-in site next to the conference room. Wonderful experience w/only one concern: Neighbors had two Yeti coolers cut from chain and stolen during the night. Local police came to take report, but stated this was not uncommon in resort/seaside areas.

We used our own Verizon "hotspot" and had good wifi/cell coverage. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Lagoons RV Resort is going down hill in my humble opinion. Upon arrival our reserved site was changed to a site which floods so badly our sewer line connection was totally covered in water after only about 15 minutes of rain. We were allowed to move to another site, which had no WiFi signal. The explanation of the person at the desk stated with complaints about park WiFi, the owners decided to cut all the towers leaving only the office and clubhouse towers. They are currently changing their website and are not listed in Woodall's or Good Sam Club, though they do offer a Good Sam discount. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Consider how important WiFi is to your party. I had to sit outside with mosquitoes in two locations to get a batch of emails and podcast. If using these facilities make sure you WiFi has strong antenna for WiFi reception.

Wifi is none existent. You have to be in hall to connect to internet. Park host does not pickup trash; all he wants to do ride around and be rude to guests. Dumpsters are located in back of park. Office staff is kind, but trying to adjust to new ownership rules. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The daily rate is for my monthly stay and does not include electricity nor the deposit.

All sites are paved as are the streets... lots'o concrete but narrow bands of grass in between sites and lots'o trees. As mentioned in previous posts, the sites are close together but you can get your slide-outs extended... They do have back-ins and pull through sites.

My site is back in a "corner" with a fence behind me. The vegetation has grown quite high and needs cutting (as high as the hookup post where the water & breaker box are mounted). Would have thought grounds staff would have seen this but as I haven't said anything to the front desk, hasn't been trimmed... If it were a pressing issue, I would have said something - mainly an appearance thing.

Staff are very friendly and very nice, check in is easy and everything explained. Basic cable is extra ($20/mo) and if you want premium channels, you'll need to get TWC out to get you a box (more $$) - same with internet access if you do not want to use the parks wi-fi which is sporadic and slow at times. Matter of fact... not unusual to get kicked off mid-stream reading an article or newspaper... forget streaming anything. I use my iPhone as a hot-spot (AT&T which works peachy-keen).

The grounds are nice, absolutely no "worn out" trailers around. Around the perimeter of the park are park model trailers for rent and ones that appear to have been rented by winter Texans (as well as some of the 5th wheels) as they are vacant and rented. Lots of what appears to be semi-permanent retirees here, which is good because they do keep an eye on things.

I haven't used any of the facilities - club house, indoor swimming pool, laundry or showers/bathrooms.

Al in all, a nice park for both short-term and long-term visits. I would return and would recommend to friends. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Rockport/Fulton are great little towns - fishing (of course), good restaurants, art festivals, Oysterfest, Market days every month at the city park on the bay, Blue wave beach, Seafair, galleries, bay tours, all the shops a coastal tourism town would have. Some good night spots on the bay with live music... Corpus Christi is 30 miles away and on TX 35, the speed limit is 75... The Ferry to Port Aransas is 12 miles away and of course, Padre Island.

Lots to do if you are not a stay-at-home dud.

Rate is monthly plus electricity. This is our third time to stay here in off season (May, August, and October). During off season park is virtually empty, as it is basically a winter snow-bird park. They offer some summer specials, but even on Memorial Day weekend with lots of weekend campers, the park was still mostly empty. There are close to 20 parks in and around Rockport, but this is one of the best with paved roads and paved sites up to 70r feet long. There are lots of trees giving most sites some to lots of shade. As a result of the trees, the sites are all different sizes and the sites are from close to fairly separated. The best sites are annual sites. The hot tub has been out of order since 9-2013 and may now be open. The big improvement is they now have decent Wi-Fi. Our site had average upload of 2 Mbps and download of 7 Mbps. It is still a bit erratic and disappears sometime for short periods. Also reception at clubhouse is nonexistent. Shower/bathrooms have some age bur are clean. Lots of washer/dryers at $1.25 and $1.00 per load. Park is minutes from HEB, Walmart, downtown, and city park on beach. It is about 35 minutes to Corpus. On each stay, some one has warned us about locking up when leaving RV as there have been some break-ins. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
