37 foot TT 4 slides. Had to disconnect but sufficient room to park along side of Trailer. Attendants assist in parking and are continually monitoring park for any problems. Nice dog park. Due to all the recent rains mosquitoes were bad so we stayed inside quite a bit of time. Pool facility, weight room, and pool room/card tables were very good. Laundry facilities were clean as well as the Shower rooms (individual rooms with locking doors). Sunday pancake breakfast was just 2 dollars per person. Electric service (50 amp) very good as well as the cable tv connections as provided. This was our second stay at Wilderness oaks and it was very nice as was our first. There was lots of damages at Rockport but and some business have not returned however all in all they are really getting it back to normal. Try the Butter Churn on 35 bypass for a great buffet. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Visiting the park's website can tell you more about the amenities than I can since we were self-contained and did not use them. The park was pretty well packed with snowbirds and people who had constructed screened in patios, along with a few park models, but that wasn't a negative for us. From what I could tell by looking, the park was well maintained, the pool water was cold, the hot tube hot, public restrooms and showers great. They also had a laundry room, book and movie DVD's on loan or a borrow one, return another, program. The only negative was that there was no water access for fishing, but that's my loss and not theirs. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Walmart and HEB right down the street and plenty of fast food available, however, I did not observe one dine-in breakfast restaurants, like a Denny's for example.

The staff and residents we met at this resort were the most friendly and helpful of any we have ever come across. The park has almost fully recovered from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey and we frankly would not have noticed any of the damaged trees, had they not been pointed out to us. The same holds true for the city of Rockport, whose beautiful beaches are very nearby. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Not being familiar with the area, this RV Park was the first one I called to make reservations. I was originally told they only had pull thrus left for $56.00/night. After telling the woman, who had answered the phone, we didn't want to pay that much, she found another site for $26.00/night that we would have to back into. We made reservations for two nights for our 2004 40' 5th wheel (they only allow for 10 years or newer RV's but allowed ours) and paid with our credit card. When we got there, less than an hour later, we found the park about 1/3 empty! There are grassy areas and there are native grass, sand and thistle areas...we got the latter. All sites have concrete pads. It was difficult backing in our RV and even more difficult getting it back out as the streets are narrow and the sites are close together. Luckily the site across from us was vacant which helped our arrival and departure. After setting up camp, we read the paperwork given to us and there are no firearms allowed on the premises, two dog limit and a no refund policy. Check the park and your site out prior to paying. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Road noise is noticeable, we were second row from road. Pull through sites are about 45 ft long and 12 ft wide, 3 ft spacing between sites. Back-ins are shorter. Rate is Pennsylvania rate. Cable TV is good. WiFi is fairly quick, not measured. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park. The length of the site was a bit small for our 35' unit and the spots are tight. We needed to park our toad on on different site. HOWEVER, the volunteers are excellent at helping you get into your site. The bathrooms and laundry were immaculate!!! Finally, there is occasional noise from the local airport as well as some road noise. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

We spent three nights here and were very happy with the park. The staff was friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the dog park. The only negative thing is that it sets at the end of an airport runway and the noise can be bad at times. Amazing staff and guests! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Sites and roads are concrete. Apparently this park was destroyed by hurricane Harvey but you could hardly tell now. We just can't get over how friendly and welcoming everyone was. Most parks we visit the people stay mostly to them selves...not here; people were walking around, some with dogs on a leash, and talking to each other like old friends. We loved the heated salt water pool. We will definitely be back. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed a week and enjoyed our stay. Very well kept with great security and felt very safe. It is just off hwy 35 and we were on the second street in and did not notice any road noise to speak of. We were on 30 amp service and wifi and internet were good. Our dog enjoyed the facility of a small fenced dog park with lots of doggy box's to put waste in. Spaces are somewhat small but adequate for our trailer and vehicle. Airport is close by and do have airplane traffic over head but it did not bother us. Shower facility and bath rooms very private and spacious and had great work out room that was very convenient. Did not use pool but it was very nice. Staff very friendly and they assist you in getting access to your spot. Know there were some poor reviews but they appear to be older and not indicative of what we experienced. We will stay here again in the future. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Spent a week there with a rally. When I arrived I was welcomed and given a little gift and treats for my dogs. I was led to my site and then the fellows hooked everythikng up for me after they directed me to back into my spot. The staff was so pleasant. The site was level and clean with full hook ups. Plenty of room. The pool was also clean and salt water. We had a pot luck in the meeting room, which was also very clean and there was a fridge for our use. We had breakfast with them Sunday morning with bacon, sausage, pancakes, sweet rolls and all for $2. Would love to go back and spend more time. We stayed here for 5 weeks. A very nice park, clean, and the staff are all amazingly nice and accommodating. Extremely dog friendly. The only reason I would not give it a 5 star is because of the sound of the airplanes from the nearby airport. And during the park busy times, parking at your site can be a little difficult. We would definitely stay here again and we would highly recommend this park. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Truck Camper.

The rate we paid reflects Passport America discount. The staff are extremely friendly & accommodating. We had a reservation, but when we pulled in & they re-assessed our space requirements, they immediately changed us to a larger site but did not increase the amount charged. Roads & sites are paved, with grass between sites. We are in a 40' motor home, towing a full size pick-up truck, with a motorcycle. We would return.
