Spent 2 nights here. 50a and water worked well, water pressure was 90 pounds. Dump station on slight slant. Paved roads and back-in site. LOTS of room between sites as expected at COE parks. Verizon cell and hotspot worked well. Site had a good downward slope toward lake when entering but leveled out pretty good once in the site. No trees nearby so rooftop dish worked well. Covered picnic table, fire pit nearby. Peaceful & quiet. We camped at Union Grove COE in a Fifth Wheel.
Tips for other Campers:
Opa's Schnitzel Hut in Harker Heights had the best German food we have found on the road in 8 years. 15 minutes from campsite.

We loved staying at this park! We were right at the water, visited by deer and ducks. The sites are level with well maintained picnic area. It is between Salado and Harker Heights/Kileen, convenient to shopping and services. Proximity to Kileen means Ft. Hood noise, which we got used to, but some might not. The park had very light traffic in January and we enjoyed our stay. We camped at Union Grove COE in a Motorhome.

This is a Corps of Engineers campground on Stillhouse Hollow Lake. Most sites are on the water. Sites are well separated with large covered picnic shelters. Good roads. Do not turn on Union Grove Ln (dead-end road). Turn on the good paved Union Grove Park Road. We camped at Union Grove COE in a Fifth Wheel.
