6 RV Parks near San Angelo, Texas
Sep 2016 - $50.00
Daily rates have jumped from $38.00 to $50.00 per day! Pricey? Compare the area's other RV Parks.... not a RESORT!
Has a very good store of RV goods and Ice, some food and cold beverages.
Many shade trees.
A little out of town, but right on a lake for fishing, swimming, water sports. - Blackie13
Aug 2016 - $55.00
We loved the new site renovations. They are large and spacious with fire pits and picnic tables. Quiet and peaceful on the lake. Lake front views, great walking/running paths. Bath facilities left a little to be desired. An upgrade to those facilities would be super. We have an RV so we were fine, but would have benefited from nicer facilities for restroom and bathing with having larger families. Love this park, great distance from our home in Midland. Can't wait to come back. - thecollinsclan
Apr 2016 - $44.00
The park was really clean and new owners were nice. Only complaint is we stayed in site 55 and was way too close. We had about 8 feet between the each. The pullout was in our small camping area when neighbor setup. I would not recommend any of the 50 thru 58 numbered sites. - LuluBoyd
Jan 2018 - $20.00
Not a lot to comment on. Pretty typical park, sites were well spaced. Everything worked fine, quiet, secure closed gate after hours. Close to shopping in San Angelo. Would stay here again, convenient. We have TX parks pass or otherwise there is a $4/per person daily fee. - abqnm
Jan 2018 - $24.00
Price is $20 for E/W plus $4 per night without TX state park pass. Very roomy sites, two-way paved roads through campground loops, plenty of room to maneuver and very spacious sites so probably fairly big-rig friendly. Picnic tables on patios under shelters. Grills. Fire Pits. Mostly level. Mostly sunny with some spotty shade. Most sites have view of lake. Verizon signal good. Several over-the-air TV channels available. - aowcarol
Oct 2017 - $20.00
We thought this was a beautiful park. It was confusing when driving there, as we weren't sure where to go with there being a north and south entrance. Luckily it was still day time and we called the park to get advice. we went to the south entrance. Staff was friendly and helpful. The spots were huge, well manicured (the volunteer camp host did a great job). It was nice to have the picnic table and fire ring next to the RV so that you could watch tv outside and still be sitting near the fire. There are little pathways through the loops, which are great for walking the dog. They have bird feeders set up at different spots for bird viewing. We took a little drive to see the small herd of bison and longhorn steers. We came across a few javelinas too. Verizon signal good, there is wifi but not strong. - dorcol
Jul 2017 - $38.00
Stopped here as an overnight in route to San Antonio. Friendly staff. Trash is picked at the site which we really like. Very good antenna but they also have cable. - davis0056
Apr 2017 - $38.00
This has to be the cleanest KOA we have ever stayed in. The owner and staff were very helpful. Trash pickup and a paper at our door everyday. We received a discount because we stayed a week, not shown in original price. We would stay here again. - fred8509
Apr 2017 - $32.00
GPS took us right to the San Angelo KOA. The interior roads and sites were gravel. We were in a long pullthru and the hookups were convenient with two sewer connections depending on which end of the site you chose. We had a satellite friendly site with a nice patio. Although KOAs are generally more expensive than most parks, this one was more reasonably priced, we have started staying more and more. Site unseen you can generally count on a KOA as a good park because sometimes we have been fooled by the website and reviews of other parks and haven't enjoyed our stay. We would stay at this KOA again as there is a lot to do in San Angelo if we came back again. - Bob & Jo
Oct 2017 - $33.00
They asked to call a cell # 15 min before arriving, I got no answer, called the office again and she had someone call me. Entrance is a little tight but not awful. Then directions to office are not obvious. Paperwork for overnight was intrusive... Date of Birth??? Employer??? 3 pages long... obviously set up for long term rental. They Recommend surge protection on Elect. Park is clean, reasonably quiet (a little road noise). WIFI instruction sheet came with a gift bag of 3 mini bottles of water, a packet of tissues and some candies. The instructions included the comment "When it works, it works, when it doesn't it doesn't"... slow, but ok for email. Map of park on wall in office is not to scale, I followed the route and couldn't make the turn, but circled around took a different route and made it OK. As an overnite it's OK. - Casarolls
Oct 2016 - $38.00
Laundry has new washers and dryers.
Only year and half old.
Wide open. Quiet.
All sites are extra long and drive thru
Not much shade for summer heat. - Blackie13
Nov 2015 - $15.00
The older area of the park is ok, with some shade, but the new area is just a parking lot. Not a very interesting or pretty park, but it is near a lake. It looks like a nice place for a big picnic, but not really great for a destination stay. The host was super friendly and helpful. The park is a few miles from the base, so no base services, but there is a gas/convenience store within walking distance. There was some traffic noise during the day, but it was very quiet at night. The wifi was inoperative and apparently, no one knows how to fix it. The cell service was good. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this park, but it was a handy enough place to stay for a night. - KAP99
Aug 2015 - $20.00
Great campground. I've stayed there many times. Very convenient to San Angelo. Walking distance to gas station. Staff is very friendly. Showers are satisfactory (body hair - tight space). There is actually wasted space that could be used with towel hooks - benches which would make it more accommodating. Almost zero shade. Would be nice if the overflow got sewage drains and trees. Would definitely stay there again. - r Smith
Apr 2014 - $20.00
Two sections to campground. An older loop right next to entrance, and a new area. Older area has trees, concrete pads, table. New area is a basic parking lot with utility pedestals. Arrived near sunset and got the last site in older section. Campground host very helpful. Some long term residents, but park was clean and quiet. Nice area to walk around. Do be aware that campground is near road, and water front area is a day use recreation area for a training AFB with lots of very young airmen, soldiers, sailors and marines out to party on the weekends. Will stay here again every time we are in the area is space is available. Much better rate for facilities than city owned or commercial CG nearby. - PawPaw

Water Valley is a tiny community with an RV park that is located just out of San Angelo, Tx. Tom Green County maintains the park. When you arrive at the campground, you park where there is an available site (first come, first serve). An attendant will come by your RV to collect payment. Even though there are no sewer hookups at the sites, there is a dump station. This is a beautiful park, next to a small river. It is very quiet & you can't hear highway noise. There are no showers, but there are small wooden structures with toilets. There is also a stone, covered building/pavillion that can be rented out. The lightening bugs are wonderful to watch here. There are lots of trees. This place is perfect for just getting away. - SassyPapasan
