7 RV Parks near San Angelo, Texas
Apr 2018 - $30.00
Overnight stay. Alternating-direction sites with shared hookups between. All gravel (It's West Texas, after all.) but fairly well maintained. 80 pounds of water pressure, so bring a good regulator. Average Wifi probably because the campground wasn't full. Good AT&T and Verizon cell service. Really friendly staff, professional and competent but laid-back and enjoying themselves. - telecommuting camper
Apr 2018 - $38.00
Nice park just south of San Angelo. All utilities worked well, including wifi. Would stay here again. - ldukeb
Mar 2018 - $44.00
We are in San Angelo Tx frequently either passing through on a trip or visiting. The San Angelo KOA is very clean and nice, we always enjoy our stay. The best thing about this KOA is the staff. These folks go out of there way to make sure you have a good stay. - DSP
Mar 2018 - $20.00
First visit to this beautiful sp. The campsite was great not on top of other sites plenty of space. Restrooms in the bald eagle area were clean for the most part. Better than what I imagined. The south entrance has a firewood vending machine just in case you forgot to grab some before coming in. The bald eagle area is really close to 288 and the south entrance is closer to town and the lake. Our site had no shaded picnic table but others did. We actually set up in the wrong area due to failing to read the sign off the highway (our fault) just know that there aren't signs inside the camping area to let you know where you are at. There was some sort of race going on at the park over the weekend so it was booked but never heard anything and neighbors were very quiet. We had 41 mph winds hit early in the morning some people packed up as their tent didn't hold up but we stayed. Would visit again in the future it was great. Staff was friendly at both ends of the park and very helpful. - dathasha
Feb 2018 - $50.00
We have stayed here several times mainly because it is convenient, about halfway between our home and Austin so we can meet our son for a visit. The nightly rate shown is for a limited use cabin which have beds [bring your own bedding], heat and air, no restroom, and doesn't count the daily entrance fee of $ 4 per person per day. The cabin have an adjoining RV parking space with electric (only 30 amp) and water, no sewer. There is nothing scenic about the park but there a few places of interest in San Angelo, such as old Fort Concho. All usual stores, Wal-Mart, HEB (groceries). Lowes, etc. are nearby. Check-in was a little rude this time with too much "rules are rules" emphasis. We'll probably try another place if staying in San Angelo again. - starwind
Jan 2018 - $20.00
Not a lot to comment on. Pretty typical park, sites were well spaced. Everything worked fine, quiet, secure closed gate after hours. Close to shopping in San Angelo. Would stay here again, convenient. We have TX parks pass or otherwise there is a $4/per person daily fee. - abqnm
Sep 2016 - $50.00
Daily rates have jumped from $38.00 to $50.00 per day! Pricey? Compare the area's other RV Parks.... not a RESORT!
Has a very good store of RV goods and Ice, some food and cold beverages.
Many shade trees.
A little out of town, but right on a lake for fishing, swimming, water sports. - Blackie13
Aug 2016 - $55.00
We loved the new site renovations. They are large and spacious with fire pits and picnic tables. Quiet and peaceful on the lake. Lake front views, great walking/running paths. Bath facilities left a little to be desired. An upgrade to those facilities would be super. We have an RV so we were fine, but would have benefited from nicer facilities for restroom and bathing with having larger families. Love this park, great distance from our home in Midland. Can't wait to come back. - thecollinsclan
Apr 2016 - $44.00
The park was really clean and new owners were nice. Only complaint is we stayed in site 55 and was way too close. We had about 8 feet between the each. The pullout was in our small camping area when neighbor setup. I would not recommend any of the 50 thru 58 numbered sites. - LuluBoyd
Oct 2017 - $33.00
They asked to call a cell # 15 min before arriving, I got no answer, called the office again and she had someone call me. Entrance is a little tight but not awful. Then directions to office are not obvious. Paperwork for overnight was intrusive... Date of Birth??? Employer??? 3 pages long... obviously set up for long term rental. They Recommend surge protection on Elect. Park is clean, reasonably quiet (a little road noise). WIFI instruction sheet came with a gift bag of 3 mini bottles of water, a packet of tissues and some candies. The instructions included the comment "When it works, it works, when it doesn't it doesn't"... slow, but ok for email. Map of park on wall in office is not to scale, I followed the route and couldn't make the turn, but circled around took a different route and made it OK. As an overnite it's OK. - Casarolls
Oct 2016 - $38.00
Laundry has new washers and dryers.
Only year and half old.
Wide open. Quiet.
All sites are extra long and drive thru
Not much shade for summer heat. - Blackie13
Nov 2015 - $15.00
The older area of the park is ok, with some shade, but the new area is just a parking lot. Not a very interesting or pretty park, but it is near a lake. It looks like a nice place for a big picnic, but not really great for a destination stay. The host was super friendly and helpful. The park is a few miles from the base, so no base services, but there is a gas/convenience store within walking distance. There was some traffic noise during the day, but it was very quiet at night. The wifi was inoperative and apparently, no one knows how to fix it. The cell service was good. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this park, but it was a handy enough place to stay for a night. - KAP99
Aug 2015 - $20.00
Great campground. I've stayed there many times. Very convenient to San Angelo. Walking distance to gas station. Staff is very friendly. Showers are satisfactory (body hair - tight space). There is actually wasted space that could be used with towel hooks - benches which would make it more accommodating. Almost zero shade. Would be nice if the overflow got sewage drains and trees. Would definitely stay there again. - r Smith
Apr 2014 - $20.00
Two sections to campground. An older loop right next to entrance, and a new area. Older area has trees, concrete pads, table. New area is a basic parking lot with utility pedestals. Arrived near sunset and got the last site in older section. Campground host very helpful. Some long term residents, but park was clean and quiet. Nice area to walk around. Do be aware that campground is near road, and water front area is a day use recreation area for a training AFB with lots of very young airmen, soldiers, sailors and marines out to party on the weekends. Will stay here again every time we are in the area is space is available. Much better rate for facilities than city owned or commercial CG nearby. - PawPaw
Apr 2018 - $35.00
Not set up for anything but long term campers. Utilities were at the rear of RV and shared. We will not stay there again. Go farther into town! - MajandMrs

May 2006 - $15.00
Water Valley is a tiny community with an RV park that is located just out of San Angelo, Tx. Tom Green County maintains the park. When you arrive at the campground, you park where there is an available site (first come, first serve). An attendant will come by your RV to collect payment. Even though there are no sewer hookups at the sites, there is a dump station. This is a beautiful park, next to a small river. It is very quiet & you can't hear highway noise. There are no showers, but there are small wooden structures with toilets. There is also a stone, covered building/pavillion that can be rented out. The lightening bugs are wonderful to watch here. There are lots of trees. This place is perfect for just getting away. - SassyPapasan
