Nice place for the area in the cooler months. Gravel lot, a few sites with trees for some shade, but most sites on the open. Many sites share hookup pedestals, making them very close together. Restrooms were clean, but had showerheads extending from ceiling pipes. We have stayed in other parks in the area and this one is the best so far. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Motorhome.

We use this park as an overnight stay when traveling from Texas to Colorado. I gave the park a 10 rating this time because of the excellent service that I received that was above and beyond the normal service. The rubber gasket that is between the roof and side of camper came loose and was over the slide out topper; therefore, I was not sure I would be able to extend the slide out. The owner brought out a ladder and climb up and put the gasket back in it track in a 104 degrees in the heat of the day. The park hosts were very helpful and friendly as well. In this campground it is worth paying the extra for a premium site. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Travel Trailer.
The sites and interior roads are gravel. We were there for one night, and the site we were in was in front near the bathrooms. These sites are right next to each other, alternating the direction of the trailers with the utilities very close to each other. I kept almost bumping into our neighbor's slide out when I was hooking up the utilities. This was fine for an overnight stay; other sites toward the back of the park looked to have more room. Our site was not at all level (I used 2 sets of lynx levelers to get level). The park is very near an airport which was loud during the day, but quiet at night. The bathrooms were modern and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Travel Trailer.
Tips for other Campers:
The International Water Lily Garden at Civic League Park was very nice. We took over 70 pictures of the water lilies and the garden.
Very easy to find. Good interior roads with no overhanging trees. Long pull through sites with concrete patios. You won't have to unhook your toad unless you want to visit the area. They don't have picnic tables but have wrought iron tables and chairs on the patios. Mostly shorter mesquite trees so getting satellite reception was not a problem even though they have cable. I would have given this park a 9 if not for the noise from the nearby airport. During they day it can be annoying but it is quiet at night for sleeping. There is also a nearby train that really didn't bother us. We would probably stay here again if in the area. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
There is a park next door that must be a walking trail for people and pets. We didn't have a chance to explore it but the parking area was always busy so it must be very popular.

Our gravel pull-thru was level and more than long enough for our 40 ft motor home and toad. Campground was clean and well-maintained. Roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Staff were helpful and friendly. We were escorted to our site by the campground manager. Our site was wide with some screening from our neighbors and included a patio with table and chairs. Adequate selection of cable channels, mostly local. No trees blocked our satellite TV. Good Verizon signal. There was on-site trash pick-up and we had a local newspaper delivered to us each day we were there. We would stay here again. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Stayed in a pull-through site. The space was so close to the next site our slides almost touched. Plus I could hear the neighbor's A/C running. On the way back from Colorado decided to upgrade to premium site (cost $34.95). Premium site is worth the extra money. Mainly use this campground as an overnight stop. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $25.00
Close to the road but surprisingly quiet. Wifi with simple password and the best working yet in my 30+ days trip. No greenery between sites. Laundry room was clean and water/electricity functional. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $41.00
We stayed in the 30/50 amp full-hookup sites, which were very nice, with a screened patio and patio furniture. The dog playground was one of the largest I've seen at a KOA and very clean. The staff is very pleasant, they pick up your trash daily and provide the local newspaper at your site each morning. We stayed one night heading out and 2 nights returning. The only drawback to this park is the local airport is very close, but the noise was not too bad. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $36.00
The office staff was great. We stayed in one of the newer pull through sites. The site was long enough for our 38ft 5ver and truck and the utilities functioned properly. We used the laundry which was clean and well cared for. The Wi-Fi worked well at the office but we couldn't use it from our site. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $35.00
We were in the newer part of the park in the long pull thrus which were real level. Also, no trees so roof mounted satellite dish worked great. Office staff was great and worked well with us on our uncertainty due to slide out problems. Gravel roads and gravel sites. Rates not as high as the usual KOA rates. We would stay here again. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

It's a good KOA. The kids love the playground and the horseshoe pit. It's not completely quiet at night - you can hear road noise. And if you're lucky enough to stay there on trash days, you'll get a dark:thirty wake up call by the trash truck rumbling through the campground to pick up the dumpsters. The place is clean and well kept. They do have a pool but we never stayed there in the summer to find out if it was kept clean. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We requested a pull-thru and were given site #63. We attempted to 'level out', but to no avail. So they said we could move to #62-61 or 60. HA HA HA NONE of these pull-throughs were level. Even the person next to us had his front wheels completely up off the ground. So we were not satisfied with the pull-through sites. Also - the campground is in the airport flight area. You WILL hear airplanes (but not near a railroad track). :) We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice place. Nice clean pool. Gravel and paved roads. Very friendly. Nice store that stays open until 9. Bathrooms were new and clean and nice. The only downfall was that there were a lot of oil field workers living here. If they would put them in a separate area from the travelers, that would have made it perfect. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Travel Trailer.
