22 Parks near San Antonio, Texas
Apr 2016 - $40.00
Nice, busy RV park. I spent 4 days here while being treated at the nearby VA hospital. Friendly staff. I would stay again. - Dave and Linda
Mar 2016 - $45.00
Rate reflects nightly stay. Some sites are more expensive. My rate was 590/month. Check the site for rates. I was here from June/2015 to March 2016.
Check-in was easy. Staff nice and helpful. Escort to your spot to help you get properly parked.
No cable but over 50 channels available on antenna. WiFi provided by TengoNet, not controlled by the park. Please don't blame the park for bad internet...not their fault
There are some rules...but not that bad. But don't be mad if you violate one and get called out...rules are for a reason. Especially pay attention to pet rules, parking on open spots, and going the wrong way on the one-way streets.
There are 2 dog runs. Both are supplied with doggie waste bins and poop scoopers. Use them. Yes, the runs are cleaned each day, but that doesn't take away your responsibility to clean up your dog's poop.
Sites are concrete pads. Roads through the park are paved and are of adequate width. This park has 3 long spots for very large rigs, such as class A's pulling large trailers.
Restrooms and showers are cleaned daily. But bear in mind, people use them throughout the day. If you stay here and use them, and one needs attention, notify the staff.
My stay here was great. I would not hesitate to come back here again. - Traveling Man 49
Feb 2016 - $55.00
We stay in San Antonio quite a bit. Our kids go to UTSA. We've never stayed here before because it's not as close to downtown as Traveler's World. To start off with this park is extremely well maintained. No junk anywhere and there looks to be some full-timers with all kinds of set ups and everything is tidy. I'm extremely picky where we stay. No longstanding mobile home parks, etc.
Navigating the park is easy. The sites are a little narrow for my taste, but if all you're gonna do is stay inside or go to the city it's no problem. We chose a "Premium-Plus" site with an extra parking place for our kids to come visit. Our site had a picnic table as well.
No cable TV and not a lot of channels to be picked up. Looks as if they had cable at one point but not anymore. Not much shade throughout the middle of the park. Some trees at the end of the lanes. - mikel
Jul 2016 - $60.00
Stayed 2 1/2 months while our new house was being built. We had a wooded site with a patio under the oaks, complete with a nice built-in wood patio bench. Lots of birds, and friendly RVers for neighbors. The grounds are well maintained; The poolside patio is beautifully landscaped. The pool is large enough for the facility. We had enough room to enjoy it on the 4th. - Major Dad
May 2016 - $44.00
First of all, if you are using Garmin GPS to find this resort, enter this address into your GPS 910 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, TX. The RV resort is the first driveway once you pass this church on the right. This RV resort is extremely well maintained. We travel with three dogs and having the dog park was invaluable! The dogs loved it. Everything is pristine, you WILL be impressed. That being said, we work full time on the road and are sometimes in one place for almost a year. This did not work for us for that reason. Our lot 207 was poorly laid out for hookups. Our gray water drained UPHILL and was a mess to get to drain. Most are not like that, but check your hookups and if the drains are going uphill, I would seriously ask for another lot. The birds. OMG! I love birds, but the birds on this property are a bit much. They are extremely noisy and it was nice for about the first hour, but by the 6th day, they will be wearing on our nerves. They are very noisy and seem to never shut up. Our tree prevented us from extending out awning. They are very stringent about the rules. We need a little flexibility to accommodate a long stay. For instance, we build a temporary set of stairs which are not allowed here. My husband has a few tools that sit under our unit which are not allowed. All relatively meaningless if you are here for entertainment as most of their patrons are, but if you are a long term on-the-road worker, this information may be of greater importance. I truly have zero complaints and think very highly of this RV resort. I found the pads to be wide enough, each site has a table and a concrete patio which is a nice touch. Everything is clean, well maintained. Dog bags are provided throughout the park so there should never be any reason to NOT clean up after pets which everyone seems to do a very good job of doing. The water pressure was good and the water tasted good. Internet, it's pretty good, better than some worse than others. - hap
Mar 2016 - $44.00
The pool, clubhouse and other facilities are excellent. They are in the top for parks we've stayed at in this price range (anything nicer has been in the $60-$70 per night range). The interior roads are all asphalt and the sites are concrete with a small concrete patio and picnic table at each site. The sites were adequately long for us to easily fit our coach and toad on the site. The site did have a slope on the front so we had to position the coach towards the rear of the site in order to level it and park our toad on the front. The sites are on the narrow side, but not that bad. Several of the sites have shade trees on them, but it appeared in some cases that the trees could control where you park on the site in order to use slideouts and awnings without striking the trees. My biggest criticism of this resort is the minimal space for check-in parking (see tip below). - Phaeton_Owner
Oct 2015 - $15.00
For the most part a self service park. Never saw any management. Office was always locked. Grass is well maintained but utilities, roads, etc are in need of upgrading. Roads are terrible all over the AFB. Water connections leak, cable boxes broken, laying on the ground. Spaces are generous, but be careful of low limbs. Bring your own Mi-Fi. Park's Wi-Fi is all but unusable. Price reflects $440/month. We would stay again. - Deck & Margot
Nov 2013 - $30.00
This RV park should not be open. There is no Wi-Fi or cable. The sites are not level and the roads are full of pot holes. The only thing going for it is the price. $355.00 per month keeps it pretty well full of workers. - possumtrotky
Jan 2013 - $12.00
This RV park is in very bad shape and should not be open. The roads have deep pot holes everywhere. The sites are narrow and utilities are on the wrong side for hooking up. My rate is based on a monthly stay of $355 per month. The lady that works nights is very friendly. There are no rules in this park, but it is quiet, and all dogs are on a leash. - possumtrotky
Jun 2014 - $40.00
While the people in the office were nice, the park itself was the nastiest I've seen. 98% was run-down full-timer sites. Our site was an un-level mud pit, water was broken-although was repaired while we were there, had to use Lowe's WIFI since park's did not work.Very run down. Full-timer next door used his hammer to build something on his front patio until midnight. Unhook TOAD at parking lot. Whole park is next to busy freeway. - OurRVLife
Jul 2013 - $20.00
Lots of seasonal RVers, oil field workers, permanent residents. But park is not trashy and most sites are kept up. Gravel roads & all pull-through sites. Good WiFi from park or Lowe's. Unlike 1 poster, I used the WiFi on both my iPhone & iPad with no problem & signal was consistently good. Most sites in full sun. Park is close to Walmart, HEB, Walgreens, several fast-food places. And right on I-35, but I'm not bothered by highway noises. I used PPA and also wouldn't pay full price, but for $20 all I wanted after a day of sight-seeing was good WiFi & electricity to run the AC. - happybooker1
May 2013 - $20.00
Friendly permanent residents, but the park needs a lot of attention. Grass was mostly weeds and needed mowing. Lots of junk around. Electricity was good. Water was highly chlorinated. Strong Verizon 4G signal. The free WiFi is only good for one device. I had put it on my tablet and it denied me use on the netbook. We were at the front of the park, along the Interstate and across the street from Lowes, so I used their free WiFi. Our very loud AC unit almost drowned out the truck noise from the Interstate. If you are going to spend the day in San Antonio, this place is convenient and inexpensive. We used Passport America. I would not pay full price to stay there. - Road Princess
May 2016 - $15.00
Under new management and they are working hard with many improvements. On the bus route so you can leave your car or truck. Sites are big and grounds look better every day. The management is committed to making this the best San Antonio has to offer. We will be back!! - Wifey
Apr 2016 - $36.00
This place is under new ownership and they are very eager to please. Bathrooms are very clean. Laundry facilities clean and everything worked. Staff were exceedingly friendly. The host went out of her way to find me a great spot and was very friendly. They are working on the place and were putting a new deck in by the pool when I was there. I didn't swim in the pool but it looked crystal clean. A few permanent residents here but everything is very clean and tidy. The pads themselves need work - some are concrete, some gravel, some just grass/weeds - but they were level and good spacing. Full hookups - no problem there. Not far from the riverwalk area. - US Traveler
Mar 2016 - $32.00
We were disappointed. Hot tub was not working and the pool was not clean. Cable access was very limited, close to non-existent. Showers/restrooms were clean, but shower heads needed to be replaced or cleaned. Hot water was limited. Not on our return list. - Boyds nest
Aug 2016 - $43.00
Really nice KOA. We have been in some "fair" ones of late, so this was a pleasant surprise! Easy access from I-10, gated, clean, and sites are level and spacious length wise, but typical of most KOA's, you're pretty close to your neighbor on the sides, but we had no problem with our slides. Lots of shade trees but we had no problem with our satellite. We tried to hook up cable but only 2 stations came in. Campstore is large and well stocked. You can buy hot pizza in the office and there is a Chuckwagon on site for breakfast. It was very reasonable and good. Staff were all very friendly. - KSAM14
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Nice place to stay if you have a family. Nice and quiet. Has lots of trees. This is a pretty park that seems to be well maintained. They need to relocate the Dumpsters so they are easier to get to. - LEE H
Jun 2016 - $37.00
So glad we picked this campground for our stay. Very close to The Alamo, Riverwalk, and downtown San Antonio. It was an easy on/off the highway, but far enough away so you didn't have traffic noise. There is a train track nearby, but didn't bother us at night. The gravel sites are level, and there are plenty of grassy areas to walk the dog, along with a country trail right along the creek. The staff is friendly and helpful, plus the park is very large with outstanding amenities you expect from KOA. Definitely recommend this facility! - MbMurchison
Aug 2016 - $44.00
Stayed 5 nights and 6 days while attending a conference at the convention center. The park is neat, clean, well laid out, and a fair price - especially considering how close it is to downtown, Riverwalk, Alamo, etc (10-15 minutes drive). We had a pull through - they're all long enough for vehicle and tow. Utilities were fine and worked well. They do have high water pressure, so make sure you have a pressure regulator. We had a problem on site #100. We have 4-step entry stairs and the patio on that site is higher than the gravel, so we couldn't get the steps down. We moved over to #99 and all was good. Nice laundry area - 8 washers and 8 dryers ($1.25 per load). Pool looked nice. Mexican restaurant across the street is good. Walmart not too far away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! - FireFlyer
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Nice park, location may seem a bit scary but inside the park is fine. Sites have good room, level and very long if you don't want to unhook. We have stayed here several times while visiting our daughter. Will definitely stay here again. Nice central location ( DO NOT RELY ON GPS....IF YOU END UP ON SOUTHCROSS YOULL BE SORRY!). - 7 on the road
Jun 2016 - $35.00
Very nice, clean campground with level sites. Office employees were helpful; quick check-in; and provided info about the area. The area around the campground may look kind of iffy, it was safe. Alamo Tours picked us up at the campground for a day tour. The next day we took a bus into town, which is not far, but too far to walk. Bus stop is across the street from the campground. - LPierce
May 2016 - $32.00
I suppose this used to be a nice park, but now it is in total disrepair. The swimming pool is half full of green water, the roads are absolutely horrid, full of pot holes. The "store" has almost nothing available- just empty shelves. The back end of the park looks like a junk yard. Most occupants are permanents. They let their dogs run loose, and don't clean up after them. It's truly a shame because the park is near Sea World and with some work could be developed into a nice place to stay. - The Sauntering Sampsons
Mar 2016 - $15.00
Price reflects monthly rate. Having stayed monthly at another RV park in close proximity, I would come back here in a heartbeat. Yeah, the place is a bit rough around the edges, but it was much more serene. Management and the workers live here, so there isn't going to be any shenanigans going on. There is no road noise; you may hear the neighboring cows and coyotes. The fact that others are put off by the looks made it better for us; we found that we had lots of empty space to breath around us. For the monthly rate, you get FHU included. We only got 2 channels on TV (CW and MUNDO) and hardly any radio channels. Good Verizon signal. - MichelleKry
May 2013 - $20.00
It was just o.k. Wouldn't stay there again. Not easy access from freeways. Very rundown. Should of just turned around and gone somewhere else. Gentleman that checked us in was very friendly but didn't bother to tell us that the info. on this park is outdated, i.e., no cable, no wifi. If we didn't have a dish dome we would of been out of luck for t.v. Roads are in very bad shape - he told me the pads were asphalt and level - not in this park! I couldn't find a piece of asphalt in our space. At one time I'm sure they probably were. We were the only traveler - out of 118 sites, approx. 20-25 were permanent. I can see why Good Sam got rid of them. - werunamuck
Nov 2013 - $20.00
Under no circumstance stay here. Planes directly overhead, trains nearby, and emergency sirens all night long. Tight getting in and out. Short sites. Utilities in bad places under rig. - 11 Bounder
Nov 2015 - $45.00
This is a 95 percent full time trailer park. There are paved road thru park, sites are gravel/dirt. The park is Expensive for what you get. $45.00 night, $245.00 week. The amenities advertised are not all working, you are lucky to be in a spot where Wifi and Cable are usable. $20.00 deposit cable box needed. I have used these boxes many times before and after trying two boxes the front office threw up its hands and says "we only provide cable because Time Warner gives it to us free, it's not ours you will have to call them." Many of the spots for short term , including mine, are next to road (noise) or against the UP railroad and a stone quarry (bad dust). I didn't use restrooms, can't rate. Front office is useless, backed by General Mgr who has been on job too long and doesn't care about individual customers issues. Location is asset, located close to I-35. If you have never heard of a non-refundable deposit, get ready. Laundry at park, ok but old machines, one of ours leaked. - Dieselrv08
Nov 2015 - $17.00
Facility filled with old park models. Extremely unlevel, gravel sites. Narrow streets filled with speed bumps and pot holes; very, very difficult to maneuver a big rig through. Satellite reception difficult or impossible due to trees. We lost power sporadically, especially during storms. Park poorly maintained. NOTE: The trees at our site prevented satellite reception, so we tried working with the management to move and were told nothing available and to keep trying. We tried for over a week and were told to check after the first of the month when the monthlies vacated their spots. When two sites came open that would work for us, we asked to move but were told they could not move us due to the way their "reservation system" worked. They had no intention of letting us move when they told us to keep checking back. When I called the office and spoke with the general manager, I was told "that's the way it is and next time you can go to another park," and HUNG UP on me! We have have traveled extensively and have NEVER encountered a park like this one! - CWinLV
Sep 2015 - $17.00
I stayed here for 6 months while on a work contract. The staff and maintenance people were friendly and so were the neighbors. Lots are larger than most places that I have been. Not packed in like sardines! Utilities were excellent and trash pick up is daily at your site. Fenced dog park with dog droppings bags supplied at all three dog parks. The price was $500.00 monthly which breaks down to $16.60/day for a monthly RV rate. Nothing extra is charged. - MedicineMan
