We had a pull thru site relatively close to the office. Directly in front of us was the bike rental, air hose, walkway to the pond and pool. Everything was conveniently located. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

We staying in K10, a reasonably level back-in site. It backed up to the Salado Creek Greenway which is a nice, level (paved) walk that runs for miles in both directions. Walking, running, biking and dogs are permitted. This is an older, large, classic KOA that is worn but has been well maintained. The spaces are close but with sufficient elbow room. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and nice. The laundry was excellent. There was a well-stocked store. The dog park was very large though a good walk from our side of the park. The pool etc. looked nice but we didn't use them as it was too cold. There are lots of trees for shade when it gets hotter. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and I like the back-in outside sites for a motorhome, trailer or camper. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

This camp chose to put us into their UGLY site (C7)... beside a utility building, no grass, site had broken and uneven payment in the patio area. We stayed for 2 nights. Site was level. Couldn't use the cable. Apparently, our TV was too old (10 years), although we have had cable work in every other park that we have been in in the USA and Canada. WiFi was good but occasionally dropped off. Water pressure was weak. Staff were okay. Why we stay at any KOA is a mystery. They are easily 20 - 25% higher in price than other RV parks and provide questionable quality. Doubtful that we would return. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

Roads are easy to get around people are friendly campsites are a little close together usual for KOA but bigger than the sites at the admiralty cable works well WiFi is better than most there is traffic train and plane noise but again it is not too bad we have run into a lot worse nice dog park municipal paved bike trail next to the park which is lovely I would stay here again. Be careful with your GPS they do not work well in San Antonio the service roads are so close to the highway the GPS cannot tell which road you are on ours took us around 4 highways in a circle once I got away from the highway it was fine I talked to the locals and they say it is a common problem traffic in San Antonio is terrible I though Toronto was bad We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

The paved biking path was fantastic! We also enjoyed the pond during happy hour. The convenience of having the bus to go downtown across the street was worth being in an industrial area of town. We will definitely stay again. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with lots to do in the area. They have breakfast in the mornings for a cost as well they had a Friday Fiesta and a gathering on Saturday with a live 2 pce band. Sites were plenty long enough and wifi was pretty good. It was a gated park so we felt secure. San Antonio has lots to see and do. We'd stay here again. Large, older park, very nicely treed and extremely well maintained. The sites are adequately spaced for this type of park, and big rigs are no problem (we managed to park truck, 40-ft 5-th wheel and small car on ours, without being on the grass or in the street). Amenities are first rate, including activities for the little ones; paved roads; staff super friendly and effective; hookups well located and reliable; on-site breakfast and Hunts Brothers mini-pizzeria. The campground is adjacent to the Salado Creek Walkway, which runs for several miles in either direction and is ideal for biking or walking the dog. The city bus stops right in front of the park and takes you downtown in about 15 minutes for $1.30/person; ideal for visiting the Alamo or the Riverwalk. The only downside we noticed is some "industrial" noise pretty much 24/7 from nearby businesses, but it would certainly not prevent us from returning. Overall, very nice KOA. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Be careful where they put you! We were closer to the front of the park on the periphery, and I had a horrible wifi signal. This park is close to the Spurs arena, but it's not in a good neighborhood. We felt reasonably safe, but it wasn't ideal. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice KOA park with paved roads, gravel pads, and grassy yards with brick patios. The park was easy to navigate and had decent wifi, though it took a few minutes to find a hotspot that would work. They kept popping up and then disappearing. We got 4 bars of 4G on both ATT and Verizon. We didn't use it, but the pool looked very nice. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is close the AT&T arena where the Spurs play. It's a great location to explore all that San Antonio has to offer. We stayed here while attending graduation weekend for Basic Training at Lackland AFB.

This is a wonderful campground. It is very well laid out and maintained. It seems to be in a seedy/industrial area but is gated and we never gave it a second thought. It is very close to all that San Antonio has to offer. We will definitely stay here again. This is a destination campground with plenty of amenities on site. You don't need to go far if you don't want to. The roads are easily navigated to your very nice, level, good sized site, most of which are somewhat shaded. The hookups were modern, standard, and trouble free not requiring anything extra. It all worked just as expected. We just slept here while we weren't touring San Antonio but there would be much to do if you have time. There is a nice trail, not campground property, that goes by the campground along a stream that tend to be well used by campers and the community at large. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are going to The Alamo (and you MUST go to The Alamo!) Check out a movie called "The Price Of Freedom". It is worth the cost and is only a block away from the The Alamo front door. Also take the time to check out the Riverwalk. It us one of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen. They have really capitalized on the waterfront within the hustle and bustle if the city life.

This is one of the nicer KOAs we have stayed at. Very convenient to both I-10 and I-35 and close enough to San Antonio for day trips but far enough out to be quiet. Bus stop is right across the road from the campground and we saw quite a few people using it rather than driving into town. They weren't all that busy and staff was careful to avoid putting campers close together - usually leaving at least one site empty between occupied ones. They were very willing to move us to a site near to the dog park when we asked, although that wasn't what they had originally planned for us. Our site was level gravel and roads were paved. All utilities worked well, wi-fi was strong and there was a good selection of cable channels plus what we could pull in over the antenna. Dog park was huge with a couple of ramps and platforms for the dogs to play on. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a week. The only thing I can complain about is the pool. It was the 4th of July weekend so maybe that is why it was so over crowded. Too many people at one time in the pool, adults were in there drinking alcohol and smoking and the one night I went down there, someone had their own music blaring super loud. No one from KOA came out to control this. Otherwise, very convenient to San Antonio and all the places around. Front gate that locked and a convenient bus stop out front, we didn't use but saw many using. Would defiantly stay here again. Shout out to staffer who showed us to our site and welcomed us to San Antonio. Unfortunately he left the next day for his vacation. We missed him. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This park has a great swimming pool, an onsite place to buy breakfast, a fishing pond and a good playground for kids. Lots are spacious and mostly shady. Sites are gravel and feature a picnic table. The area is safe, clean and relaxing. The park management went out of their way to help us with anything, including picking me up to do laundry and bringing me back to my site. Too much laundry! An older KOA, gravel sites are unleveled and fairly close together. Quite a few trees so if you have a roof satellite dish, make sure you ask for a site with lower trees. Laundry room was small and no air conditioning, just a fan. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

Our original plan was to travel to the Florida Panhandle, but due to the Tropical Storm we had to change our plans at the last minute. The KOA staff was very helpful to get us a campsite for four nights. The campground has paved roads and gravel sites many with patios and picnic tables. Amenities were adequate; the pool was crowded with children, but cleared out in the evening; a fishing pond is available for catch and release fishing; laundry and restrooms/showers were typical for a KOA. Breakfast was offered, but temporarily closed during our stay. There is bus service to the downtown Riverwalk outside the campground, although we found parking was available downtown at a reasonable price. We would stay here again. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.
