Nice KOA park with paved roads, gravel pads, and grassy yards with brick patios. The park was easy to navigate and had decent wifi, though it took a few minutes to find a hotspot that would work. They kept popping up and then disappearing. We got 4 bars of 4G on both ATT and Verizon. We didn't use it, but the pool looked very nice. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is close the AT&T arena where the Spurs play. It's a great location to explore all that San Antonio has to offer. We stayed here while attending graduation weekend for Basic Training at Lackland AFB.

This is a wonderful campground. It is very well laid out and maintained. It seems to be in a seedy/industrial area but is gated and we never gave it a second thought. It is very close to all that San Antonio has to offer. We will definitely stay here again. This is a destination campground with plenty of amenities on site. You don't need to go far if you don't want to. The roads are easily navigated to your very nice, level, good sized site, most of which are somewhat shaded. The hookups were modern, standard, and trouble free not requiring anything extra. It all worked just as expected. We just slept here while we weren't touring San Antonio but there would be much to do if you have time. There is a nice trail, not campground property, that goes by the campground along a stream that tend to be well used by campers and the community at large. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are going to The Alamo (and you MUST go to The Alamo!) Check out a movie called "The Price Of Freedom". It is worth the cost and is only a block away from the The Alamo front door. Also take the time to check out the Riverwalk. It us one of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen. They have really capitalized on the waterfront within the hustle and bustle if the city life.

This is one of the nicer KOAs we have stayed at. Very convenient to both I-10 and I-35 and close enough to San Antonio for day trips but far enough out to be quiet. Bus stop is right across the road from the campground and we saw quite a few people using it rather than driving into town. They weren't all that busy and staff was careful to avoid putting campers close together - usually leaving at least one site empty between occupied ones. They were very willing to move us to a site near to the dog park when we asked, although that wasn't what they had originally planned for us. Our site was level gravel and roads were paved. All utilities worked well, wi-fi was strong and there was a good selection of cable channels plus what we could pull in over the antenna. Dog park was huge with a couple of ramps and platforms for the dogs to play on. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a week. The only thing I can complain about is the pool. It was the 4th of July weekend so maybe that is why it was so over crowded. Too many people at one time in the pool, adults were in there drinking alcohol and smoking and the one night I went down there, someone had their own music blaring super loud. No one from KOA came out to control this. Otherwise, very convenient to San Antonio and all the places around. Front gate that locked and a convenient bus stop out front, we didn't use but saw many using. Would defiantly stay here again. Shout out to staffer who showed us to our site and welcomed us to San Antonio. Unfortunately he left the next day for his vacation. We missed him. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This park has a great swimming pool, an onsite place to buy breakfast, a fishing pond and a good playground for kids. Lots are spacious and mostly shady. Sites are gravel and feature a picnic table. The area is safe, clean and relaxing. The park management went out of their way to help us with anything, including picking me up to do laundry and bringing me back to my site. Too much laundry! We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

The bus to go to the downtown river walk, picks up and drops off in front of this park. It is safe to ride. There is a food and beverage available and great selections to choose from.

This is a must if you want to see downtown San Antonio and leave your rv behind.

An older KOA, gravel sites are unleveled and fairly close together. Quite a few trees so if you have a roof satellite dish, make sure you ask for a site with lower trees. Laundry room was small and no air conditioning, just a fan. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

Our original plan was to travel to the Florida Panhandle, but due to the Tropical Storm we had to change our plans at the last minute. The KOA staff was very helpful to get us a campsite for four nights. The campground has paved roads and gravel sites many with patios and picnic tables. Amenities were adequate; the pool was crowded with children, but cleared out in the evening; a fishing pond is available for catch and release fishing; laundry and restrooms/showers were typical for a KOA. Breakfast was offered, but temporarily closed during our stay. There is bus service to the downtown Riverwalk outside the campground, although we found parking was available downtown at a reasonable price. We would stay here again. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA was ideal for our two night sightseeing stop, and we made use of the handy bus stop right in front of the campground for fast, direct, and inexpensive service into the Alamo and Riverwalk area. The restroom and showers appeared brand new inside and were kept clean. We had a back-in water and electric site in the K section at the far end of the park beneath huge shade trees, a cool and relaxing setting. It was just a few steps to the city's paved bike-hike trail, perfect for dog walks. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

Last stayed here December of 2015. Good, well run KOA park close to downtown SA. Staff friendly and helpful. Good long pull through that fit the 5th wheel and tractor while unhooked. Electric pedestal, water, and sewer drop placed well in site. Good cable hookup with quite a few channels. One item that we noticed is some of the long term tenants from the last visit have left and the owners have built more camping cabins in that area. Long term folks that are here police their sites a lot better now. Gated park with good security. Hunt Brothers pizza still a good value and delivered free to your site. To sum up, it remains a well maintained park that we would return to when in San Antonio. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The #24 bus remains a cheap way of going to the city center area, River Walk, Alamo Plaza, etc. Breakfast or lunch at Lula's Mexican Cafe in the Milam Building on East Travis is worth your time. Been there 18 years.

The main selling point of this campground is the ease of access to public transportation to go downtown to the Alamo and the River Walk. The bus stop is across the street. The front desk will give you the schedule and map for the bus stop you will need to return to the KOA. Wonderful! The campground facilities are standard KOA. I can verify that the laundromat is good. The campsites are very level and the utilities convenient and work well. Wifi was ifey. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for the second time. Nothing important has changed except the "Chuck Wagon" has been rebuilt and there is an enclosed pavilion to eat in if you wish. They're set up for a movie night that I think is in the planning stages. The park is still very nice and the staff is excellent. The current owner is the son of the parks original owner, a real family business. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first stay at this park. It was very clean and well organized. Great pull thru sites for big rigs. It felt very safe and secure with the closed gate. The pool area was clean and well enjoyed. We were impressed with the staff and the information they were able to provided; one of the services that really impressed us was that they allowed washing and waxing campers in the park. This is a great service. The other thing that impressed us was the fact that three times a day they did trash pick up at the sites or one could walk to the multiple well located pails. The doggie park is well laid out and provides good security and safety for the dogs. A very enjoyable park, will definitely stay again. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
