I stayed here two years ago, prior to new management, and had positive memories of the place, quiet, nothing fancy, but that is what you get for cheap. This time around, with the increased price, the improvements I noticed were small dog run, mowed back yard to get an extra couple of feet of walking with the dogs, excellent wifi and cable. The downsides are back placement of sewer connection (bring 3 sections of hose if your drain is mid-RV); sewer connection is up hill; sites are uneven front-back & side-to-side; most sites are narrow (wasn't a problem years ago because few spots were occupied); our site had crushed rocks aka ankle twisters and a spattering of cement blocks (didn't even want to look out the window let alone sit outside); lots of bits of litter everywhere, lots of dog poop everywhere, laundry room was clean at a casual glance, but upon closer inspection could use a deep clean. (I didn't go in the bathrooms.) We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here 2 weeks in June. Nice place, reasonably priced, friendly staff but most importantly, quiet & peaceful. Not once did I hear sirens or train horns through the night. I would recommend Tejas to anyone. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

New management and owners have worked hard to make this place stand out in a positive way. With the way things used to be they had a lot of problems to fix and clean up and have worked obviously hard to do so. Newly smooth paved roads, enforced speed limit for safety of children at play, beautifully updated bathrooms that are cleaned multiple times daily, managers/management always available for questions. It is quiet at night and peaceful during the day. Large play area where you can let kids play, basketball, tetherball, take dogs on a walk to with clean up bags available, Ice is .$.50 at the desk, mail is delivered on site, you can get coins at the desk for laundry, pool is crystal clean, dog park near front office as well, they're working on getting a playground for kids, washer and dryers on site, codes on bathrooms and laundry facilities for safety. But seriously, they've treated us like family. Definitely a great spot. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

My wife and I wanted to find a place to settle for a short time and thought this would've been a nice place... Until we actually started living there. Sewer runs uphill, difficult to properly drain septic. There was no wifi, The club house was unusable, the pool was completely green, cabins in the back of the park look worse than the projects. The "play ground" is run down and in ruins, wouldn't trust children to play in this area. Not only was the park distasteful but the management was equally as messed up. I would see the manager often aggressively yelling at tenants around the park. Needless to say this is NOT where we wanted stay. We would've liked to stay longer due to a great location however, bad management ultimately made us take our business elsewhere. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

New owners have bought the park and are completely redoing everything from new roads new bathrooms new management and remodeling the entire park. Looking better already Getting new wifi in January. Quiet location but close to everything. A lot of bad reviews but this is going to be a complete different park I met the future owners and they have big plans. My wife and I stayed on some of their other parks and they are great!!!!!!! We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I suppose this used to be a nice park, but now it is in total disrepair. The swimming pool is half full of green water, the roads are absolutely horrid, full of pot holes. The "store" has almost nothing available- just empty shelves. The back end of the park looks like a junk yard. Most occupants are permanents. They let their dogs run loose, and don't clean up after them. It's truly a shame because the park is near Sea World and with some work could be developed into a nice place to stay. Price reflects monthly rate. Having stayed monthly at another RV park in close proximity, I would come back here in a heartbeat. Yeah, the place is a bit rough around the edges, but it was much more serene. Management and the workers live here, so there isn't going to be any shenanigans going on. There is no road noise; you may hear the neighboring cows and coyotes. The fact that others are put off by the looks made it better for us; we found that we had lots of empty space to breath around us. For the monthly rate, you get FHU included. We only got 2 channels on TV (CW and MUNDO) and hardly any radio channels. Good Verizon signal. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We walked our dogs across Portranco into the neighborhood; there are dogs (lots!), llama, peacock, magnificent white rooster with red accent, thanksgiving turkey like on a greeting card, not a wild one). We tried Sam's home made ice cream shot(on the left heading to 1604); I was a fan, my husband not so much. Since I am writing this, I suggest give them a try.

It was just o.k. Wouldn't stay there again. Not easy access from freeways. Very rundown. Should of just turned around and gone somewhere else. Gentleman that checked us in was very friendly but didn't bother to tell us that the info. on this park is outdated, i.e., no cable, no wifi. If we didn't have a dish dome we would of been out of luck for t.v. Roads are in very bad shape - he told me the pads were asphalt and level - not in this park! I couldn't find a piece of asphalt in our space. At one time I'm sure they probably were. We were the only traveler - out of 118 sites, approx. 20-25 were permanent. I can see why Good Sam got rid of them. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 2 nights while sightseeing in the San Antonio area. The park is quiet and clean. Its terrain is typical of the Texas hill country (rocky, not much grass). Note that there is a huge grassy area with kids play equipment near the bathrooms which worked out perfect for our pets (yes, we picked up after them). The site was level and the roads easy for our 35' Trailer+ 20' Truck to get around in. The management was very accommodating and responded quickly to our emails. We had good Data service with Verizon. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had read good reviews of this RV park in the Texas Travel and Camping Guide and decided this is the RV park we were going to stay in. However, when we pulled into the park to register the office was closed in the middle of the day on a Sunday. Sign in the driveway said to pick a space and they would come register us the next day. We pulled in to find a space and the park is old and unkept with gravel roads and spaces and weeds growing up around the permanent residents in the park. We pulled out of the park and found another RV park to stay in for a week. We talked to at least three other RV'ers at the new park we stayed at and discovered they had done the same thing we had, which was to pull in and make the decision to leave. I would not recommend this park. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
