This is a great park. The staff was very helpful. The park is in a town that has lots to see and do. We toured the Painted Churches with a local tour guide from the Chamber of Commerce. That's a must to see. There are many close shops to visit (Potter's Pecans is close and full of goodies) and things to see. A great park to visit for an overnight stay or for longer. We have visited this park at least half a dozen time over the years and plan to return in September. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

A nice park, very quiet. The staff was friendly, they took time to go over what there was to do in the area & where you could eat. We were escorted to our site. Our site was satellite friendly & I saw other sites with roof mounted satellites as well as free standing ones up but they do not guarantee satellite friendly. They do have cable but it is limited to only about 10 channels. They have wi fi. There is plenty of place to walk your dog. There is a pond with fishing for park guests. The sites are level & the hook ups well placed. They do participate in recycling which I was glad to see. You can pay with credit card but since it was a couple of dollars more a night we paid by check. You can also pay with cash, of course, to avoid the extra charge. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

There is a very good bakery right down the street on the left side. Sorry I can't remember the name of it. There are actually two bakeries like right next to each other. The one we went to was the first one you come to from the campground. They have several things to do in the area: Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum down the road a ways. There is also a Painted Church Tour.

Camped here in a 42 ft. fifth wheel and Ram 3500 Crew cab long bed. Extremely friendly and informative check in. Parker great also. Very quiet park. Train noise but not frequent. Several full time residents but all friendly. Best WiFi we've experienced in a long time. ATT good. This site good for roof mounted satellite. Would stay here again. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First of all great staff. We were welcomed very well. Both were charming and helpful. Long pull through sites. Cable TV was great and wifi was very good. Sites have subtle lites on each. Frank's BBQ and Whattaburger are close. DO is next door. We would come back. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Very nice park, very clean, good landscaping and trees. Staff is friendly, we felt very welcome on arrival. They are very knowledgeable about the local area. A lot to see and do around here, you could easily spend 3-4 days and not be bored. Park is small and turns could be a little tight for some but we had no problem in our 37' with tow attached. They escort you to your site. Electric steady, wifi worked very well. Laundry room was clean and neat, $2 wash/$1.25 dry. Didn't use restrooms/showers, but looked inside, they appeared very clean. Restaurants and convenience store within walking distance. Neat little perk: show your park receipt and a couple of the restaurants around give you a 10% discount off your meal check. Office will tell you which ones do this. The park would have gotten a 10 from us if spaces were not so close together. To sit on our patio, we would have been less than 2 feet off the sewer hose of our neighbor. If we had put our awning out, it would have reached neighboring RV. There are some long term guests here, but everything is kept neat and tidy, no dirty or derelict units. We only stayed one night this time, but would definitely stay here again and recommend the park. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Franks Restaurant was a nice experience. We enjoyed the Brisket and Enchilada Plate. They cheerfully gave a 10% discount with your RV Park receipt. It was about 1 block away from park. There is a DQ directly next door.

This is an older, smaller park with mature shade trees. The facilities are old but clean and in good condition. The best part of the stay was the staff. It is a family-owned park and the staff treat you like you are a guest in their home. They know the area and interesting things to do in this small E. Texas town. We had a good time touring the painted churches in the area. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Schulenburg is a small E. Texas town but it has a supermarket and several good places to eat. If you visit, don't miss the painted church tour. The churches are incredible and you'll get to see some of the Texas countryside while you do the tour. Ask your host at the RV park for details, they'll be happy to help.

We stayed at this park for one night while travelling west on I 10. Very convient stop as it is close to the highway and easy to locate. The staff are extremely friendly. Good restaurants close by. Our site was a gravel pull through that was level and could accommodate our fifth wheel and truck so that we did not have to unhook. The Wifi was good and we did not use he provided cable. The only negative was that our site did not have a picnic table. No be deal for a one night stop over. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for one night. We damped in a 39 foot 5W. We had a pull through with plenty of room. We were just passing through. This was a cute little campground. Very quite and the staff was great. There are several places to eat right across the street. Cable and WiFi worked great. We would stay here again. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely go to Willie Joe's BBQ Meat Processing. Absolutely fantastic brisket and the most wonderfully moist turkey I have ever had!

Have to say that the Mexican restaurant across the street, Lucy's, salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce and the margarita was awful!

The painted church in town was absolutely breathtaking!

This was a delightful campground. Our site was pull through and easily fit out 38' 5W. All hookups worked fine and the Wifi connection was mostly good. Nearby trains were disturbing with their horns but that was offset by the delightful cooing of doves in the campground. The work kampers running the park were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Electric 50/30/20 Amp & Sewer good, Water @ 60psi. Wi-Fi requires a pass code. AT&T Cell Phone signal is good. AT&T Air Card is weak. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card is very good. Cable has few channels and not very good. Over the air is better. Site reasonable. Nothing to far off level to make a difference. My Site Size was small both in length and width. I could not put out my awning but this was the only site that was this small. Site have grass between them and most are long enough for average and some big RV's. Roads and sites are gravel. Restrooms private and are great. Laundry is good. Washer is $2 and drier is $1.25. There are some long term tenants but the sites are reasonable. DirecTV Satellite is good in most sites unless your dish is mounted on your RV then you need to ask for a specific site. Discounts are good for Escapees or Passport America. Payment with credit card has an extra charge unless you pay by cash or check. There is a nice pond for catch and release Perch. Hosts are very nice and friendly. This is a nice laid back park and I will be back here again when in the area. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access to I-10, yet not noisy. Gravel site. If you need a clear line of sight for satellite, ask since it is a wooded park. Nice access to local historic and painted churches. Clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Schulenburg RV Park. It's a relatively small park with a friendly and helpful staff. They were able to give us help with some sightseeing we wanted to do in the area. The park was clean as were the private bathrooms and showers. All sights were pull through with average spacing and nice trees. We didn't use the wifi so I can't comment on that. We would definitely stay there again if in the area. I stayed here for a month, and the monthly rate was $354, plus your electric bill. It was during the summer, so it was about $80 dollars added to the monthly rate. The "cable" is terrible. I'd say it barely qualified as working. It's only the 4 major networks, PBS, CSPAN, and the weather channel. And the networks only worked about half the time. The wifi worked about half the time as well. When it worked, it was great, but it would work for 5 minutes and then be down for 10 minutes. The inconsistency made it almost useless. The only thing that saved it was the cleanliness, staff, and the location. The park was very clean, and the other residents and staff were extremely nice. If I was staying here longer term, I'd find somewhere else. According to co-workers, there are other parks in the area that cater to long term residents. They aren't as pretty, but have more reliable and better cable/internet. As well as a better deal on electricity. I'd say this is a pretty spot for passing through, but not long term. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
