Pulled in for the night without a reservation. Owner was friendly and let us pick our site. Both pull-through and back-in sites were available. Appeared to have some permanent residents and an old motel. The Passport America rate is $15 but since we did not need hook-ups he gave it to us for$12. Not much in the way of amenities but it was quiet. Good for short stay. We camped at Northside RV Ranch and Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here because it is a Passport America park, they advertise showers and restroom but the owner told us they were not available at the time we were there. They have Wi-Fi but it is mostly unusable. No shade. It is a quiet place to spend the night so we would stay again if in the area. We camped at Northside RV Ranch and Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly and accommodating owner. Very good water pressure and 50A FHU sites. Relatively quiet. Inner road was a bit rough. Several permanent residents. No leash rules. No wifi, but owner hopes to have it installed by June 2015. Antenna reception was spotty. No scenery to speak of. An o.k. place to overnight or spend a few nights, especially at the PA rate. We camped at Northside RV Ranch and Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

16 oz ribeye at the Rusty Spur was very good. I'd skip the Mavericks Cafe; mediocre food and bad service. The town library and Dairy Queen have wifi. Library is pw protected. The town's natural history museum was a nice place to spend a few hours and get up close to fossils in varying stages of being uncovered.
