We enjoyed our stay at this park. We called ahead to let the owner know we would be coming in late (around 7pm) and she actually came out to the site to meet us there and check us in. Great customer service!! The park has recently added new restrooms and a hall. Both looked great. All sites are pull through. The park had excellent WiFi and full hook ups. The downside is no fire rings or other amenities and the sites are a bit close together. The location is nice as it is just on the outside of town and its right next to a large cattle pasture. The views are great. Overall the park has excellent hookups, WiFi and customer service. We would definitely stay here again. The owner lives next door to the property. Once you pick your site you will need to drive over and check in. We camped at Boggy Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are all pull-through. We had a nice evening in early June and loved watching the cows in the field behind us. Horses were being ridden on the street our front by some locals.

They just put in a community center and shower building. The showers were rain-type shower heads and were some of the best of our 11,000-mile trip. My sons thought they were the best and I agree. Water pressure was fine and electricity was not a problem. The owner was very nice and very helpful with questions. We would stay here again. We camped at Boggy Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to Friday's Fried Chicken downtown. It was yummy and the best German pastries I have seen in many years.

Overall Rating:

Great little park--very quiet, great wifi, level sites and all pull throughs. The owners have invested time and money, and it shows. No trees here, but there will be, new ones have been planted. The owner lives next door and has chickens--she gave us a dozen very fresh eggs. I don't know if this is standard practice, but it was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again. Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Boggy Creek RV park is located at 554 County Road 350, the road just north and adjacent to the Shiner Green-Dickson City Park. The CR250 sign is missing and there is a sign saying "No Rigs." You're in oil country so they mean no oil rigs. Price was for 50 amp full hook ups. Water pressure is 20 PSI (normal is 40 PSI). Location is near a large plant that sounds like a diesel locomotive continuously running in the background. Noise was not a problem with the air conditioner on. The is a well maintained park with gravel driveways and pads. Some grass is growing in the gravel pads. There is no cable TV, but OTA (over the air) twenty channels worked fine. ATT phone service is 5 out of 5 bars; Verizon was 3 out of 5 bars. There is no trash pickup at the sites. The park is in a "hundred year flood plain", but we had no problems. There are some newly planted trees. The free Wi-Fi strength and response is good. There are no picnic tables or fire rings. I think we were the only transients; the rest were long term oil field workers all in newer trailers. The cattle in the field behind the park makes for a pastoral setting. No flies or mosquitoes are noticeable. Beggar's Lice (plant seeds) are all over in the grass and get caught in our dog's long hair and wedge between his toes. He didn't like it until we picked them out. This is good for a short stay. We camped at Boggy Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
