The park is located on the river. There is a poor excuse of a nature trail. The park is mostly dirt, and when it rains, it becomes a huge mud pit. The monthly rate was good, however the extra "fees" are quite expensive and the kw/h rate is some of the highest we ever experienced. I would save the money and stay at the Walmart in Spring Branch. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park and Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

The park was full this weekend but hardly any day users so it was quiet. The trails are good, river phenomenal (some kids were playing in it but most folks were not) Temps were 40-70deg and sunny. Verizon signal spotty but txt worked. Our trailer is 35' and arriving at 730pm Friday, there was only one spot left that would fit our trailer, the others were not even close. Park rangers were diligent about keeping campers from getting too loud and rowdy. Blue bonnets were out in full force and the photography opportunities very good by the river as well. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park and Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Tweedy's RV is nearby but the building was quite hard to find. (very little signage). Also note it closes at noon Saturday so we missed it.

We reserved an RV site for 2 nites at $45/nite and a tent site at $10/nite. When we were in the area we drove thru the park just to plan when we brought the trailer. The place was a dump, trash and broke down units throughout the park. I wouldn't bathe my dogs in the bathhouse, and there is no river access as depicted on their site. I called to cancel our reservation 2 weeks prior to our date and expected a $20 cancel fee but was charged $40, she said it was 2 sites 2 cancellation fees. The tent site was only $10 to begin with. Guess they have to make money somehow. There are many other nice parks in this area, don't waste your $ on this one.

She was rude when asked about it and invited me to share our experience, so I am. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park and Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

As stated in a previous review, this is NOT a state park. The SP is down the road. Campground is very basic with lots of full-timers and are friendly. It does back up to a working ranch and if you are looking in that direction, it's nice. Some really nice tent camping sites along the river however. Good utilities, and size of sites, but all are grass with some level and others not. River access is difficult at best, very steep and lots of big rocks to walk through. Due to lack of rain, river was hardly flowing and dirty. This place needs some serious updating and maintenance. Probably won't come back. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park and Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The staff was very helpful and friendly as well as very flexible with check-in and out times. The river access was beautiful and not crowded. It does require some physical agility in order to reach, as most points of entry are steep. I had no issues with the restroom but my husband said all the men's side were clogged. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning to enjoy more time on the river. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park and Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, busy on holidays, no room for us to stay on thanksgiving weekend. We spent a week and left wanting to stay longer. The area by the river is well maintained and very beautiful during our stay in November with the leaves changing color. Texas State Park, be aware of daily fees in addition to camping fees. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park and Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Their website says they opened in 2005. Judging by the weeds around some of the RVs and vehicles, I'd say some of the spots have been occupied continuously since then. For the price and the expectations, we were very disappointed. After a rain, the main loop road was muddy, my shoes were a mess. There was only enough gravel on the pads to keep you from sinking. With the grass growing up through the gravel, I had a hard time figuring out where the pad was. We were there on a Labor Day weekend and had to pay for 3 days minimum and left a day early. It just wasn't pleasant. The park is a work in progress at best. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park and Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
