This is a Motel, cafe, RV park. 5 miles from NP entrance. Lots of empty spaces upon my visit but lots of spaces available. Plenty of room for my 33 ft RV and tow. Sparse trees, very dusty, no frills kinda stop with pull through full hook ups. Camping in the National Park is slim for RVs over 20ish ft but very nicely done. Close to the Terlingua ghost town and access to grocery and restaurants. No radio, or tv unless you have satellite but many had them. Wifi available only in the office area, an my verizon signal was 5 bar but would not work except on incoming or outgoing calls? An employee told me they had Verizon before and it would not work also, and they switched to a workable carrier. If I returned I would use this park again. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Fifth Wheel.

What this park has going for it is the location near Big Bend National Park. The RV park (with hookups) in Big Bend is small and booked months in advance. This place is much larger. The downside: it is dusty. The check-in process was slow, and you have to check out (like you do in a motel, since this is co-located with a motel). It is a typical desert campground, with dirt and gravel... a bit barren for my tastes. When the wind kicks up, there is a lot of blowing dust. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The big draw here is the close proximity of Big Bend National Park. There are a few restaurants in the town of Terlingua, but most have specific hours for breakfast, lunch, dinner. One small grocery store just south of the RV park. The tourist shop at the Starlight Theater (a bar/restaurant) has an interesting selection of touristy stuff.

The advertised WiFi does not work. Wound up using mt Verizon hot spot, but only on 3G. Back in site was short for a 40 ft 5th wheel. The truck had to park cross-wise in the street. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a dirt and gravel campground but they all are in this area. Very close to the entrance of Big Bend National Park. Our site was level with plenty of room for pick-up. Sites were close but not real bad. Had wind storm first night and dust was everywhere, a couple of small trees broken in park. Hook-ups where convenient located and worked well. Check in was easy but you have to check out like you were staying in motel which was a little strange but fast. Employees were very nice and knowledge of are was helpful. Several places to eat close by including one in motel. Gas and diesel available next door to park. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Motorhome.

The RV park is all gravel which can make it dusty when the wind blows. No trees. There are full hook-ups and the locations is good for going into the west side of Big Bend and Big Bend Ranch State Park. There are also some basic supplies right there and a laundromat. It is a functional place to stay. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Travel Trailer.

This is basically a big gravel, dirt lot with a few small trees. Personnel great very friendly. All services worked well. Attached to small motel with cafe, small store, gift shop and laundry. Good location to visit Big Bend and everything around. Verizon 3G worked okay. Crazy dust storm when the wind blew. Full hookups sold us for a week. Might have liked to stay in park if only for a couple of days. Bring your passport and do Boquillas trip. My highlight of trip. This park is right on the main road going into Big Bend National Park. A couple of restaurant choices are across the street and one at entrance to RV park. It is a very big park, not much space in between campers but quite a lot of space in between rows. There is some sort of facility that has a pretty loud generator type piece of equipment. It makes a loud humming sound and is very noticible at night. Any sites at the center or the north side would probably not notice it. Our site (98) backed up to some big dirt mounds which the grandkids loved playing on. There were a few instances I witnessed where people had to return to the check in office because the space they had been assigned was already taken. This kept us from being able to be next to family arriving the following day. The folks next to us pulled into the spot after arriving around 8:30 PM. Their assigned place was taken, so they pulled into the one next to us rather than return to office. We understood completely as they were traveling with 3 kids, two of which were twin infants! Pretty hot, would not want to be here any later in the spring. There are very few picnic tables. You can get your name on a list to have one moved to your site. We did that but never received one. Bring a table. Burning ban in effect, grills OK. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Travel Trailer.

Gravel and dirt campground, typical for the area, can be dusty at times. Wifi good in gameroom but usually cannot use in the CG. Water pressure very low. Very convienent to the National Park, great views and sunsets from the CG. Second time I have stayed here. I found the staff to be helpful and accomodating. There was no picnic table at our site and the staff got one to me within a short time. I did not use restrooms. The staff in the office were very friendly during the reservation and check in process. They did not have a site that would accommodate our length with our enclosed trailer attached but allowed us to park it in a nearby site that was out of order. Sites are dirt and there is little grass but they are level Very good place to stay for visiting the park. Nothing fancy but we would return. Roads in bad shape. Need gravel and grading. There is a VERY loud pump on the SE side of park that you can hear everywhere. Laundry room is dirty and most of the machines don't work. Some of the trees need to be trimmed so as not to hit the RV. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed two nights here. The bathrooms are dank and unappealing. The showers are $2.00 for 6 minutes. I refused to use the facilities.

The water faucet to a neighboring site had been broken off by another RVer a week earlier; he took the site we were assigned and reported it to the office, but they put just a shut-off valve on it, not another faucet. Because he was in our site, we had to futz about for another site. They assigned that site again to another RVer, who also complained to the office and had to move to another site.

Although some sites had a picnic table, ours did not.

Wi-Fi is available -- at the cafe, but not at the sites. Cell service is spotty.

The cafe food was mediocre. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here to visit Big Bend National Park.

As per previous reviews, the sites are dirt and gravel pull-thrus for the most part. We had some minor issues with the 30-amp service, but maintenance was at our site within minutes to correct the problem. Unfortunately, the 30-amp service was a bit weak and we had to use our auto-former to maintain voltage / amperage in our camper. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Travel Trailer.

This place is a great location for visiting Big Bend National Park, just 3 miles from the west entrance. It was easy to pull in and out. The staff were nice however they were not very accommodating. It was not a busy time and the place was fairly empty. They assigned us an unsuitable spot due to trees in the way. We don't mind a back-in spot but there were several pull-through sites that were empty but they told us they were not available. We found a suitable back-in spot(56). The pull through sites were never occupied the entire time we were there, so that was very annoying. The place was all dirt roads with gravel sites for the RV. The picnic tables were falling apart and our site did not even have one so we had to carry one over from another site. There is some kind of sewer plant nearby that stinks terribly when the wind blows. The electricity surged twice while we were there and we also encountered low voltage. The water was terrible. It had an awful taste, could not suds up while shampooing and very hard to rinse soap off. All in all not a good experience. Next time we will go elsewhere. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Motorhome.

Visit the Starlight Theater for live music and bar food. Sit on the porch and talk to the locals. It is located in Terlingua Ghost town. You can't miss it.

Also visit La Kiva. It is a restaurant bar that has amazing decor, very unique setting. We didn't eat there but tried the Jalapeno margarita and it was delicious.

Big Bend National Park is an amazing place. We did several great hikes and be sure to drive into the park at night to star gaze. It is the darkest place in the country.

We had a pull through site with full hookups. The water, 30 amp electric and sewer hookups were all good, no problems. The sites are gravel with small trees and a picnic table. We had a little rain during our stay and the sites do not get muddy due to the sandy gravel, which is nice. The wifi signal and speed was really good. I like the fact that near the entrance to this RV park is a gas station with both gasoline and diesel, a restaurant and a store. We were very happy with this RV park and will stay here the next time we visit Big Bend National Park. Also, the management was very nice and helpful to us.
