Very nice campground, if only it was a bit further away from I-20. Road noise is a definite issue with this campground, but what full hookup campground within a decent distance of the metroplex is quiet? If you're going mainly to the southeast side of the metroplex (or even downtown Dallas), it would be hard to beat the location. Long wheelbase rigs do not come south on 429 to the campground (potential for hanging up on the railroad crossing at 80 and 429). A rather bumpy asphalt entry road (probably due to the construction of another 50 or so sites) with "sort of" two lane gravel access roads (trees convert some of these to single lane for taller rigs). Mix of pullthrus and backins surrounded by grass with trees at most sites providing shade opportunities while not generally presenting problems with satellite access. Sites are a mix of various sizes of gravel and are generally pretty level. Edges can be very soft after rain so ruts are not uncommon when a rig gets too close to the edge. Those we saw created were quickly filled in by the staff. Lots of grassy areas and woodlands surrounding the campsite area along with a relatively large catch and release pond. Power ok (even under load), water ok, sewer ok. Wifi was hit or miss, mostly miss. Both Verizon and Tmobile had decent signal strength and ok to adequate speed. Aluminum can and plastic recycling on site. OK bike riding around the campground, but no direct access to good riding outside the campground. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Most sites are pull thru. Fish and release lake. Sites are gravel with strips of grass between sites. Fairly level. Easy in and out. Shade trees are trimmed and don't hit top of RV's. Great cookies and dog biscuits when you check in. Staff is helpful and friendly. Two nurses live in the park and the owner has emergency medical training and equipment (unfortunately, I needed their help). WiFi reliability and speed is typical. 30 free Satellite TV channels. Free book and DVD library. Staff came to our rescue on two different occasions. Great people and great place to stay. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Dallas is nearby.

We stayed here for just over 2 months. The only downside was the fact that when it rains, the sites shift significantly (not concrete pads). The owners do a fantastic job at reinvesting in the park and keeping it looking spectacular. Trash is picked up DAILY from your site. Restrooms cleaned every day. Very nice dog park area for those with fur babies. There are multiple park-wide activities that we enjoyed. We would likely stay here again, if in the area. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Several nice dining establishments in Terrell. Pops is the place to go for fried chicken! =)

The one down side of this park is that it is so close to I-20 you cannot avoid hearing the screaming tires as the semis go down the highway. But, even that does not dampen my enthusiasm for this RV Park in Terrell, Texas. The park is so well run and the people are so helpful, friendly, supportive and understanding, going above and beyond the expected. Our gravel site was open and included a picnic table.

We were there for 9 months in 2014 and 2015 for work (we paid a monthly rate plus electric).

In January 2015, after leaving the coach for Christmas back home, we returned to find there was no power to the coach anywhere. We discovered that a lightning strike had fried several components throughout the RV and even the microwave oven. The camp workers helped us negotiate replacements and even went so far as to go to town to get new house batteries on spec and installed them ( we repaid them later). This prevented more possible damage from the cold - with batteries we could run the heaters and keep the cold at bay.

Thanks to all who work there and especially the owners who were lovely people as well. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

30 mins from Dallas shopping and restaurants.

I enjoyed my stay at Blue Bonnet Ridge RV park. It is clean and organized. I noticed they do try to create a sense of "community" at the park and the office personnel are attentive. They have bingo night and a weekly Bible study for whoever would like to attend. I noticed a gentleman cleaning the restrooms and the main office area with real fervor. I was more than impressed with his politeness and cleaning abilities! They have a real gem with him. I do think the bathrooms could use some updating as I noticed rust in some places and probably humidity damage. The lake is beautiful to look at with all of the area birds, ducks, and cranes. The sights seem to be fairly spaced apart and cared for. The workers at the park seem to prune bushes and trees on a daily basis. If you need to stay at a park in the greater Dallas area, this would be a good bet for you! We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with decent sites facing large pond. However, they are gravel and with all the water Texas has had it was hard to stay level. Very close to highway so depending on where you were you can hear the traffic. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We used this as a base camp. There are very friendly ducks waddling around, which was nice. Calming lake. Little highway noise but not objectionable. Bath house was clean, utilities were working, didn't try cable TV. Site pad was gravel and kind'a level. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A few miles outside of Terrell, TX off of I-20. Roads in the cg are paved.
I called a few hours in advance to reserve a site for the night. They only had 1 spot left so I was glad I had done this. You can do online reservations but not for same day check in. Check in was quick and service friendly.

Nice store with many rv supplies, food, cleaners, first aid, etc. They had a few refrigerated and frozen items. Many books available to borrow.
Stayed in site # 25. Pull through, gravel surface with grass in between. Included picnic table, grill and fire pit. Hookups were a bit odd. The sewer connection was almost a foot off the ground. Shrubs were planted close to each set of hookups for aesthetics but they were a bit in the way.
Neighbors were all friendly. Several came over to greet us right away.
Some shade.

Wifi is great. They have many boosters located throughout the cg.
We came in from I-30 down some country roads so I was expecting us to be more secluded but the park does back up to I-20. Sites on that edge of the cg in particular should expect to have significant road noise.
Pets are allowed. Didn't see a designated dog run area.
Sparkling pool and hot tub with lots of lounge seating around the pool area. A gas grill was also available for use. Fitness center with 2 treadmills, spinning bike, bench press and universal machine.

Large room for gatherings or rallies with several round tables as well as lounge seating and a kitchen.

Large laundry facility with 3 different capacity washers and 8 dryers.

2 very clean unisex restrooms each with a toilet, shower sink and bench/hooks.

Note:They may scrutinize rv's older than 10 years. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Also has a small lake where you can fish catch-and-release without a license. In the office, there were pics of some very nice bass and catfish that had been caught in the lake.

We have made it a point to stay here on our trips through for many years...maybe 6? Excellent service with knowledgeable check in staff. Gravel pull through site was fine even after Texas floods. We always enjoy the pool though it does not seem to be heated. A quality stop for the night. Many permanents. We will continue to stop here. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Noticed new Tanger Outlet Mall just west of this park on I 20.

Just stopped for one night on way thru. Office was friendly and helpful. Site was a nice long and level pull-thru. Utilities worked fine. The water hookup was a little low but manageable. A little close to I-20 so there is a little road noise but not bad. If in the area would definitely stay again. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed before and returned while were in the Dallas Area. The sites are wide and long. The services are all working well in the middle for easy hook up. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The park has a pond and a very rural setting but it is close to things to do without being in the city. We will return. Great park, stayed here for 2 months (about $430.00 + electric).

Lots of room to maneuver our 40 foot class A plus tow.

Very clean, trashed picked up daily at site and taken to dumpsters off site so you never hear trash trucks.

CG very particular about condition of your RV (No Trashy Rigs).

Little noise from I-20, but not bad.

Staff and other campers are very friendly always waving.

Great dog run.

I will be back next year. We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About 30 miles to Dallas and a lot to see and do in East Texas, great country.

Just stayed here one night, but, after spending just the one day here, I'd certainly consider spending more time in order to explore the area and I'll certainly be staying here if passing through the area again. Had a little noise from the I20 being nearby, but, it wasn't overly intrusive, though, it was cool enough that we had the windows shut. They also had free cookies on registering for the site; freshly made, ours were fresh out of the oven, and quite tasty. A nice touch after spending the day in the "driver's seat". We camped at Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
