A delightful surprise after pulling off of I-20 at 10pm. Greeted by the owner, who was very helpful. He's obviously investing a lot in his new property and it shows. I was surprised that the bathrooms looked like they were straight out of a spa! Free kolaches and coffee to send us off, but not before helping me with my generator. Lovely owners and lovely park! We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stopped in after a long day pulling. This campground was perfect. Very close to the interstate. Site was large, pull thru and level. The owners were very nice and were busy keeping the facility spotless while we were there. The rest rooms appeared to be new and were very clean. The owners checked to see if everything was OK with our site and offered assistance if we needed anything. They have a large recreational room that had several game tables and a gigantic TV. Will stay here again if we are in this area. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

If you are a disabled Vet, this place is for you. The current owners have only had this park a short time and are working hard on improvements. They were building a new bathhouse while we were here. The park is a mix of overnight sites and permanent residents. It is clean and well kept up. There is a rec room with a pool table and other games and a continuous pot of coffee. The overnight sites circle around a playground area that also has horseshoe pits. Sites are gravel pull throughs with full hook ups and a picnic table. Ours was plenty long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and leaving the car attached. Park is quiet even though you are right off of the highway. There is a train that runs during the day. WiFi was good as was our Verizon signal. We stayed February 27 - March 1, 2018 and paid $10 a night with their disabled vet discount. They also offer Passport America discounts. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park looks pretty rough, the layout is incredibly confusing. All of the spots are in a circle, so if you have a larger camper I probably would not recommend staying here. Especially if it's busy, lucky for us there weren't a lot of people. That said, it wasn't the worst place to stay. It is noisy, being so close to the interstate, but we figured it would be. The owners were very very kind. They were accommodating and checked to see how our night was the following morning. They provide free coffee and donuts in the morning, which is great! For $20/night, I can't complain too much! We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

New owners! The park has been totally revamped. Great community room with large tv, games, movies, seating, microwave, small fridge, fresh coffee and snacks to enjoy. Coin laundry with bathroom, no showers, but owner plan to add some soon. New outdoor playground, patio, pavillion with 2 bbq pits with fuel supplied. Friendly owners and camp hosts. Family atmosphere. Holidays are big events with tons of food and fellowship. Close to restaurants and shopping. Can't say enough good things about this place! We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a berry farm down the road, and a drive-in movie theater just a minute away on 69. Leo's Asian Bistro is the best food in town, but there's a burger joint in nearby Mineola that's supposed to be the best burgers ever.

The park is located near interstate 20 which made it convenient to Canton's First Monday Trade Day (20miles). The circle drive for overnighters was actually pretty easy for our 39ft fifth wheel. Very easy to pull into our slot and hook up. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here any time we are in the area. Inexpensive, kept neat and clean, friendly. convenient to area attractions. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Just off of Route 20 this park makes a convenient overnight stop which is easy to get into and out of. It is rough around the edges. But, everything worked and the price, at $20, is right.
The layout for transients is unusual. You are to park in a circle, yes just like the wagon trains of yesterday. It works once you figure it out.
The park is over 90 percent low-end long timers. The transients are assigned sites on the highway side. The highway, Route 29 is close, less than one hundred yards.
Wifi is good. The water is fair. It has a taste and 257 ppm of contaminants. The wife, cat, and I would not hesitate to stop here in the future.
Note that Garmin doesn't know about this park but can find it using the address. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Unusual park as others have mentioned. Many permanent campers. Poor night lighting. I was concerned about security as entrance is wide open.

I will not stay here again.

Site was actually pretty level. Power was good.

Payment drop box was missing pricing info and envelopes. I had to call the owner to find out the price. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Other's have pretty much summed up this park. Nothing fancy, very nice owner. 30 and 50 amp sites, costs depends on which amp you need. We had a large pull through site, and we were only here for the night. Some interstate noise, but not terrible, and I am a very light sleeper. Clean and was freshly mowed when we arrived. A little rough at the entrance, go slow. Yes we would stay here as an over night stop again. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Old police cars on site. Site 43 was okay for overnight. It was gravel, some shade, and nearby lot spacing. Owner not on site. Wifi okay. Believe this is where I got poison ivy, stay on the gravel road if you walk up to pay. You can definitely hear the sirens of the interstate and the diesels. Very nice 'caretaker' on site, helpful and sweet. She should get free rent from the owner! We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is oddly shaped and fake police cars everywhere. There is shaded lots if you like that and a small place to grill with seating. It has a good laundry facility and great internet. It's not too loud from the busy I-20 traffic surprisingly. I would be embarrassed to invite people to my trailer. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Easy on/off access to Interstate 20. Park owner was friendly and helpful. The sites aren't too bad, a little on the rough side, but work just fine for one or two nites. Need to ease slowly on the internal roads to get to the sites, and back to the entrance. When we called to make a reservation, the owner said he wasn't there but said pick a spot then pay at the box. While setting up at the spot he showed up and came over to meet us, paid him cash. Very easy going guy. Would definitely stay again.

We stopped here twice, once in 2014 and again Aug of 2015. We are a 40-foot diesel motorhome. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

This place is a dump. Bad roads, site very un-level. Next to Interstate so very noisy. Sites not numbered. Owner not in residence. At half the price it would still be too high. We would never stay here again. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The owners were nice but they were rarely there. There is a grassy field that has a play ground on it, and they rarely mowed that. They advertise that they have WI-FI, but it's more like dial-up internet. It is so slow, and that's if you get connected. We stayed for a couple of months, and the spot that they put us in was nice and shaded, but they had dead limbs hanging over, and on 2 occasions big limbs fell within feet of our vehicles and trailer. And there is plenty of room unless they park an overnighter in front of our trailer, so where we usually park is now the road for others to get through. So it can get pretty tight. The spots were pretty uneven as well since the entire property is on a downward slope. The only thing in, my opinion, that they have going for them is they are in a good location. We felt safe. But we probably won't stay here again if we can help it. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

As stated in other write-ups, this is a good one night park - right off I-20, and easy enough to get to. It has sites that are not level sites and arranged in a strange manner with parking parallel to the hook-ups. If an RV was put in front of us it would have been nightmarish to try to maneuver our way out. Again, good for a place off the highway and for one night. The office staff are friendly. We camped at Texas Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.
