2 Parks near Vega, Texas
Aug 2016 - $25.00
This was for the daily rate. A VERY nice park right on Historic Route 66 just off I-40. Spacious reasonable sites are well kept. WiFi, electric, water, and sewer all first class. Huge laundry room. Very secure park as friendly owners are are onsite. Roosters TexMex restaurant right across the street (Historic US 66) and is rated 4.5+ out of 5.
We stayed a night. Then another. Then a week and will be going back for a month. 30 miles to Amarillo or NM border. No pool but for those people who spend a lot of time in RV parks, this is the kind of place that just "feels right". - Wjell

Very polite older gentleman checked us in - cash only. Good for an overnight stay, but I would not stay longer. The bathrooms were on older side-no latches on the doors to the stalls it showers. - A_GF_Mom

Older park, but in pretty good condition. Easy access from highways. Very basic park, but great for a night. Close to freeway, but not noisy. Pet owners, be careful of stickers and foxtails. Not their fault, goes with the land area. Also be careful and expect high winds all the time...wind farms are there for a reason! - 7 on the road

Campground has very easy access from I-40, with services at the exit. The staff was very friendly and check-in was a breeze. The roads are all paved. The sites are nearly level concrete. The grounds are immaculate. The utilities for the FHU are easy to access. The WiFi is strong at site 110. The pool was closed for the season, but the adult hot tub was available. However, it was over 90 degrees, so we didn't partake! The bath houses featured individual rooms with a stool and shower. They were exceptionally clean. Several curiosities in the office/market/gift shop, including free cookies!
Only minus, and it had nothing to do with the facility that it could help was the odor from the stock feeding yard up the road. When the wind changed or they cleaned the stalls, the manure odor was very strong. Fortunately, it only lasted an hour or so. - DHK
Sep 2016 - $35.00
Large park with wide interior roads and many pull thru sites. Center of sites are concrete and the front and back of sites are black top. No issue hooking up sewer hose as I parked coach towards front of site and parked tow vehicle in the back. I saw units hooked to tow vehicle and hooking up the sewer hose was not an issue. There is plenty of room between sites, but no grass only stones. There is grass around the perimeter to walk dogs, and the fenced in dog run is large. There is a hot tub for adults only separate from the pool. There are a number of bath houses around the park and a very nice club house. The shower I used was private. It was large and had the toilet, sink and shower in a well lighted area. The park is close to I-40. but highway noise is not an issue. We would return to this park. - truckerturtle
