Stayed two nights to see Waco attractions. Mostly long-term guests. Owner friendly and helpful to park. Site is all concrete and back-in but easy to access. Wifi was OK one night and not available next night. No cable TV. No dog park, which is a disappointment. The property is not fenced and right next to access road for I35. Everything is done by the owner and seemed like he just came up with the price for a night so maybe others pay more or less? No site numbers, no site map. Close enough to Magnolia Farms, Dr. Pepper Museum, Spice, and Texas Ranger Museum which we visited the day we were there. Would probably look elsewhere if in the area again. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The manager is very helpful. Met us at the driveway and took us to our site. Park was clean and all concrete pads with ample space to park tow vehicle. If in area again will stop. Close to highway but noise did not bother us. Good laundry room. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 2 nights and we are so glad we opted to stay here vs. the place to the north. The manager is one of the friendliest, most helpful park operators I have ever come across in my 20 plus years of Rving! He is over the top nice! We were met at the service road entrance and guided to our site. He even offered to help with our hookups---WOW! This is not a huge park and that's a good thing! The spaces are well separated with lots of shade trees and most if not all have new concrete pads as well as concrete areas to park your tow vehicle. The shower rooms were very clean and we had plenty of hot water. The park is located close (15 min or less) to area attractions. Our site had digital cable available but we didn't use it. Also available was Time-Warner Wifi which was usable for the most part with no big issues. Although it wasn't really an issue inside our coach, some may be put off by the highway noise coming from I-35. We will definitely stay here again!! We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rustic and Texan! One man operation. This campsite is why we RV. My second all-time favorite campground. Campsites were not in neat rows, but rather put where the trees let them. Really reminded me of an old fish camp in the Keys, back in the days before profits took over. No reservations were made. We called and he said come on! Sites were large and all concrete for the transients. The long term campers had gravel pads. Gravel roads. The bath rooms were my favorite. Wafer Board interior walls but very tidy, neat, clean, etc. hand towels for curtains. Large field beside campground for the dogs to run. About 8 miles north of Waco. Easy back and forth. WiFi was spotty, but he reported he had new equipment being installed which would make WiFi a non issue for anyone. We didn't get to experience it, though. We will stay here whenever we come back this way. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Waco Tours! We had seen most of the sights, but these folks were an attraction in and of themselves. The tour is about 2 1/2 Hours long and you see many of the Fixer Upper houses. The owner of the tour company has one of the houses they did on the tv show. Starts at the Silos and goes by The Harp Design shop, among other stops.

The on site manager is very laid back & quirky. Very helpful & has so much information about the area. Our site was a back in FHU on concrete. There's no numbers on the sites. Wide & long with a parking area for our truck. A path to our on site metal picnic table with seating for 4 & grill. WiFi was in & out, get your own cable box, shaded. But you hear the road noise from the interstate. There's permanent residents here but everything was clean. Great location to all the sites in town, shopping & restaurants. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Everything is in order at North Crest RV. When you arrive the owner is pleasant and helps find a site which meets your needs. In our case we asked for good satellite reception. This CG is almost entirely tree covered which creates a nice environment. Nevertheless the owner found a spot where the satellite worked fine. The park is conveniently located on I-35 service road which creates the only problem here - road noise. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again the next time. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park is right on IH35 convenient to McClane, the silos etc. yes, you have road noise but with running Ac it died down at night. The park has the NICEST park host I've ever dealt with! You won't be disappointed - but come in with an open mind. We drove in and out but after reading reviews decided to give it a shot. I am so glad we did. What a nice park and host. Oh by the way -there is only ONE Ft camper who happens to work at the park. So other reviews are not correct. We talked a long time with him about the reviews. Don't be quick to judge. He is working hard on this park. I would definitely come back. The $42 for big slabs that is tax includes and wifi. Also have showers and laundry room. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 2 nights while we visited the Silos's that were 10 min away. Our site was great, new concrete pad, very spacious, picnic table, lots of grass and shade trees for the dogs. Mark the owner was very nice and helpful, took us to our site, made sure we were okay, and gave us directions. Permanent campers were friendly. It rained and the mosquitoes were terrible so bring bug spray! Wifi was intermittent but that was okay, great TV reception. We will definitely stay here again. Called in morning. Staff said just call when get to exit and to detach tow vehicle before getting there. Did that and called. He did not remember us. Luckily he had 2 spots. Site was ok. Laundry room not clean. Could not find bathrooms. No paperwork given showing facilities as is the norm in other parks. It's very informal. No cable. As for price per night, staff asked if we had a washer & dryer in our coach. Normal price is $42 night, but since we had the w/d, it would be $45 night as it takes up a lot of electricity. First time this has ever happened and we've been cross country in 17 states and never heard this before. Staff was nice and cheerful, but $45 night too much for this place. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great find! Great setting, plenty of trees and grass. Every site has a concrete patio and parking spot a sturdy picnic table and a BBQ grill on a pedestal , It is a little close to busy I-35, but the freeway does seem to quiet down at night. Owner is a casual, friendly and laid back guy. Some sites are tight with trees, so it may not totally big rig friendly. But there are sites that will accommodate the big ones. Lots of projects going on that will only improve the park. It's about 8-9 miles from downtown Waco, but I-35 makes short work of that trip. This is a great little park for an overnighter or an extended stay. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We didn't get to spend enough time in Waco, there's just a lot to see and do. We did spend some time (and money) at Chip & Joanna Gaines (of HGTV fame) Magnolia Shops at the Silos. Us and about 2500 other folks. Also, someone suggested we go the Texas Rangers Historical Museum--well worth it! And we did take a drive into the country side to the Cedar Chest antique Mall. Lots of things there we hadn't seen in years and years. Friendly, helpful staff.

We really enjoyed this RV Park. It's close to Baylor and TSTC. The owner is a hoot and enjoys getting to know his customers. It's VERY shady, has a two person bath house and excellent WIfi. So shady, in fact, that I had a difficult time picking up my dish satellite TV even with the mobile Tailgater. Lots of improvements going on here. The downside is that it has easy access but that puts you close to the highway. Inside your camper, all is good, but outside you hear the road traffic. We plan on returning each time we are in Waco. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

North Crest RV Park in Waco is a fun and quirky stop, right off the interstate. "Park Mark" is a real character who makes every possible effort to accommodate his guests. It's not the Ritz, though! He's in the process of various projects around the park, so there are dirt mounds, backhoes and other equipment about - looks like he's expanding and adding spots. Plenty of long termers here, but everybody seems to enjoy it. The bathhouse, with wheelchair ramp, is brand new and he tried to tempt me into it by saying he'd also installed a water softener. We only stayed four days and I'm pretty comfortable showering in our rig, so I didn't check it out, but it looks nice and I was impressed that he'd added a ramp not because he was forced to but because he wanted to help his guests who needed it. Well, either way - it's a nice, new feature. The wi-fi worked very well and we were even able to use our firestick to catch up on Showtime shows. The cable was a bit funky, but worked. Part of the issue was our site had the utilities at the rear of the coach, so the Time Warner cable had a ways to go and we didn't have a barrel to connect our cable to his. I will also add that the concrete pad was incredibly level and Park Mark shared that he'd had them laser leveled. A bit extra expense but, once again, a good thing for the guests. I think when it comes to a Texas friendly great host, it's hard to beat Park Mark, which is why this park gets consistently high marks. Good job! We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Besides Magnolia (ahem! Yes, you've got to go, but go early!!), check out the Suspension bridge over the Brazos River, the Food Trucks nearby, the cute downtown and Dichotomy Coffee, and head out to Homestead Heritage Farms which is a few miles out in the country. Of course, Baylor is there, too, and for very hometown barbecue, Rudy's is great (but remember that 'moist' brisket is pretty fatty! and the Turkey is delish.)

Stayed 2 nights to see the sites of Waco. Great little RV park. Sites are all level concrete and arranged in such a way that you really don't feel that you are very close to your neighbor. Nice canopy of trees also. It is obvious that the owner/manager takes pride in the park and are working to make even more upgrades. Very nice new permanent mount tables at our site. Utilities all worked well. The free WIFI was excellent and provided plenty of bandwidth. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.
