Where we were parked the sites are long, but very narrow - very close together - no room for even a picnic table. There are concrete pads for the RV, but then just muddy grass - fortunately the mud was dry when we were there. The bathroom is very unappealing! I would advise to check out other places first, but this should be adequate for a short (day or two) stay. They only accept cash and do not send out confirmations. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the silo's and the Dr Pepper Museum. Our overall experience was good. Staff were very friendly. We had one issue with water off for the day, but it was resolved by sunset. Campground was off the main roads but easy to get to. Our only complaint was the bathrooms. If they could get these updated and ad picnic tables they would have a great campground. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

Marketplace Table for Breakfast (go 1/2 before they open) and worth the wait! Silo's for sure, and stop by the Dr Pepper museum (Groupon) and you must stop by the antique store across from the Dr Pepper Museum it's incredible !!!!

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The level concrete pads, the WiFi, the cable, and the dog park area were the only things I can say were good about this place. It was very quiet because it was quite a way out of town. The bathroom/showers and laundry room have no air conditioning and with the temps in the high 90s it was miserable in both. The washers and dryers are $2 each and we took our closes home to fold because it was too hot in the laundry room. When we got our clothes out of the hamper to fold we found they were still damp. There is no way they should have been with as long as they were there and the $2 charge. Also didn't get any paperwork about the park except for the cable channels. If we were to come back to Waco we would find somewhere else to stay. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Magnolia Table is delicious but be ready for a long wait unless you are there when they open at 6 a.m. The silos is interesting. Great picnic area which is covered and a play yard with games for both kiddos and big kids. The bakery had a line of about 200 so we didn't stay for that. We did download a website that lists all the locations the Gaines have worked on for their tv show for seasons 1,2, and 3. Also can't miss Harp Design and JDH Iron Designs (Jimmy Don's shop).

Would you believe only 1 shower and 1 shower for the ENTIRE park and it was not clean. 1 dirty bar of soap, no hand towels, blower etc. not air conditioned. Unbelievable. Concrete pad was the only thing going for this park. It is out of the way and in terrible condition. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

Very tidy park, loads of shade. Sites are level, partially paved. Laundry room is clean, didn't use restroom or showers. WiFi and TV are great. We arrived early on Sunday, no one in the office but a maintenance worker told us to pick a spot and park, which was fine. Office opened at 1 p.m. There is a reasonably-sized dog park. No poop bags supplied, we always have our own, so no problem. Park is quiet, many permanent residents but not tacky trailer trash types. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The interior roads need attention. The site was gravel. No picnic table or fire ring. Full hookups worked fine. The cable TV and WiFi were excellent. The laundry room had 4 dryers and 4 washers. The room was clean and all but one dryer worked fine. The pool looked nice but was closed because we were here off season. There was a large dog run area that was nice to have. This is a beautiful small park. Except for the long term residents, who have some of the rattiest rigs I've ever seen. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed all the grass and trees. Wifi was good, an amazing number of cable channels. Satellite not available in all sites. There were a couple of dogs roaming free, but I don't think they belonged to anybody in the park. Close to Waco and all the attractions. Lots of restaurants, stores and everything you need close by. We will come back here again. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

Staff who checked us in was awesome. She gave us so many ideas on where to go to take in the surrounding area. I really wanted to like this park but it didn't fulfill our needs. I don't like dogs roaming freely and owners not cleaning up after them. We had power issues 111 volts on each side when the park added a few new campers. The campground could use some good old fashioned care. We camped here in a 40' motorhome. PS: The day we left our neighbor who was a long term camper cleaned up in front of their and our coach a full large kitchen bag of her dogs waste---disgusting. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

A very nice place to stay! Narrow road leading to Riverview Campground from which you cannot view the river. It is close-by though. In an old pecan orchard so you can pick up nuts. Fair wifi, good cable and nice folks. It is extremely quiet - no freeway, no trains, no kidding. Good place from which to visit Waco. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

We were camping at another RV campground and were flooded out. So we called and they said sure come on over and we will find a spot for you. Very nice staff: owner was very helpful. Site was concrete with lots of room between rigs. I would highly recommend. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is on the outskirts of Waco and is sort of hard to find. There appeared to be quite a few long term residents but the site were pretty well maintained. My site was a pull thru with room for my pull behind. The site had a fairly level concrete pad but due to recent rains any area off of the pad was wet and muddy. The utilities were well located and in good condition. The Wi-Fi and the cable worked well. On the negative side there appeared to be only one male and one female bathroom and shower equipped for one person at a time. It was clean when I used it. I would stay at the park again if in area. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.

The price reflects 50 amp service. We stayed at this primarily to visit the Mammoth Monument, about 20 minutes away. The person checking us in was pleasant. The sites are reasonably spaced and level. Most of the sites have at least some shade. There are obviously many long-term residents, but that was fine with us. It was nice and quiet at night since it is a ways out in the country. Unfortunately, there are many large bright street lights, so not dark at night. We had very good Verizon data and voice. The park WiFi was exceptionally good. We were able to get satellite through the trees. We did use their laundry, which is on the honor system (pay when done at the office) and was $1.50 per wash and the same per dry. The laundry room was disappointing. The machines were old and rusting and the laundry room was quite dirty. We would stay here again, but would certainly not use the laundry. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.
