The park's water features are fairly nice and offer a variety of options for children from 2 - adult. However, we noted black algae growing in the entrance of the lazy river and the bathrooms were totally nasty. The camping/cabin facilities are awful. The roads are too narrow and bumpy, there is absolutely no signage instructing ways to enter or exit the park, the RV sites are mostly dirt and not maintained and all the sites are too closely spaced. They advertise that they accommodate big rigs, but the roads are almost too narrow for big rigs to navigate. When the park is fully occupied, there is no room on the roads for big rigs to move through the park. I am surprised they are allowed to associate themselves with Jellystone Parks. They fall well below the Jellystone Parks standard and are not worth the premium price they charge. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Fantastic place for kids, we brought 3 grand kids for a week and they loved it. So many things to do and kept them busy. Water park, slides and lazy river were great. Lots of open space for walking dogs. Fencing in a specific area for a off leash dog park would make this place an 11. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Weekends are crazy busy with golf carts, bikes and kids everywhere so be prepared for that. Tons of activities, open air movies every night. It's the best place for a family a must go park in my opinion.

We've visited annually the last 5 years and this year it's subtlety different. The employees are friendlier, things are more tidy and I noticed some infracture improvements. It's pricey if you want a CG but throw in the water park and it's not too bad. Our grandson is 10 and we think he's "outgrowing" the park, it seems to target the younger kids. It's a good place to visit and my hat's off to them for the improvements. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great campground for people of all ages. We stayed here in a motorhome. The people that work there were very helpful in finding our site after dark and helping us get set up. The water park (which was heated) was open and we were so glad the kids brought their swimsuits. The park felt so safe and the kids rode their bikes all over. The girls loved the playground, putt putt golf, and the activities on Saturday. We'll definitely come back. There's so much for the kids to do and my husband and I enjoyed some down time. They also have a really nice store to buy things we might have forgotten or Yogi souvenirs. We loved being able to build a campfire at our site. Thank you Lonestar Jellystone Park for making our weekend wonderful. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Weekend stay with the kids. Improved water park and swimming pool. New putt-putt golf and lots of planned activities. Golf cart rental is pricey, but a nice amenity for moving around the spacious park. Lots nice new cabins, but the RV sites need improving next. Surprised by the daily rate - it doesn't include any persons. All persons are an extra $8/day - just know going in. Family of 4 daily rate goes from $45 to $77 in a blink. The kids had a great time at this park, so that's what matters most. We will visit again, but I do hope they have some planned improvements for the RV sites. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one huge park and extremely busy throughout the summer. It has over 100 RV sites, along with tent sites and about 100 cabins. There are pull through sites and back in sites, along with 30amp and 50amp. It can accommodate big rigs as well. There are no full time residents or park models. It is strictly a family campground. The roads are all paved and the sites are easy to get into. Water is well water and good. The restrooms and showers are nice and well maintained. Wifi is sketchy at some sites, but basically OK. They also have cable TV at all sites. All the RV sites are full hookup.

They have a huge water park, regular pool, playground, and recreation center. The recreation center offers ceramics for guests to paint and T-shirts to color. They also have activities throughout the day, karaoke on Saturday night, and a pancake breakfast every Sunday morning. Summer is very busy and October weekends are filled with Halloween events. There is a lake for fishing and a walking path around the lake as well. They also rent golf carts to the guests.

Since they are Yogi Bear Jellystone park, you will see Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear and BooBoo throughout the day; particularly Yogi Bear for pledge of allegiance, Cindy Bear at the pool, and BooBoo at karaoke and story time. Check out the website: www.lonestarjellystone.com

This park is well kept and clean. The roads are all paved and the sites are well maintained. It has quite a few workampers working there who keep the park running smoothly. I would give this park an Excellent rating. Worth checking out, but if you do not want the crowds, go there before school lets out in summer. If you don't mind the crowds, summer activities take place every day and the kids will love it. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pool and lazy river were filthy and overcrowded on the days the park was open to the public. We were in the 500 section where the sites were un-level and the unpaved roads were not well maintained. Once you add the required charge of $8.00 per person/day, this was a very expensive trip to leave the park feeling disappointed in so many ways. I am kind of amazed to see some of the negative reviews of this place as we had a good time this weekend. If you are looking for a quiet time in the woods, this is not the place to go. This park IMHO is geared to family and kids and that is why we went. It is a bit pricey (8 bucks per person on top of the RV rate) but there is a good deal of stuff to do. Mini golf, lazy river, "hamster cage", pool, slides, movie night, smores, etc. They are apparently expanding the park and adding a lot more cabins. The RV spots are tight, not going to deny that, but again this is not the place to go if you are wanting wide open spaces. I am not ready to call this a 5 star resort but it is not bad either. The sites we stayed at were gravel ( that is one thing I wish they would change). The staff was very nice and helpful and plentiful as you could easily find someone in uniform if you had a question or needed help, park was kept clean, saw a crew going around picking up trash, they have a real nice store there and a food court near the pool. The wifi was out in the section where we were located and the staff apologized profusely and said they have been waiting on AT&T to arrive to fix it. There were a lot of golf carts and bikes riding going on, but didn't experience anyone being reckless. No issues with people being drunk or obnoxious, just families out there having a good time. I could see this place getting very busy during the summer with a ton of people participating in the water activities. My family is looking forward to going back. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Disappointed with the park. Took the kids during the Halloween themed weekends and the organization of the activities was just a mess. Everyone just seemed jammed in the RV section of the park and the staff was very unfriendly at the front desk. Could not even attempt to fish in the pond due to the overgrown algae. On the plus side, the facilities were in nice condition, I just felt as if I was going to have a panic attack with how many people were there. Not going back. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have come here a lot over the last couple of years. I think we have at least 6 trips. Over the last 12 months they have made a lot of upgrades to the park - some good and some bad. We were in site 31 and I can't believe how close we were to the site next to us and behind us. They have turned that row, that used to be a pull through street into back-in sites. This doubles the amount of campers in that row and it is TIGHT. Our back door was less than 4 feet from the next sites sewer hookup. Just very cramped. The new lazy river, updated slides and activities were great. But how packed it was really limited our enjoyment. The other thing, which the park can't control, is the lack of respect people have for campsites. We constantly had people cutting through our site to get to the rows behind us instead of walking 15 feet to the side and going down the road. This forced us to keep our dog inside all the time. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.

Took two granddaughters for a 2-night trip. Park is really tired, dirty, not well maintained and activities are very pricey. Several water features were not operating due to maintenance issues. Public restrooms and showers were really trashy. Like another reviewer complained, there are a lot of "day users" who don't care about cleanliness of facilities. Lots of adult beverages consumed and offensive language by day users ( who wear different color wrist band). I would dread staying more than a night or two. Staff is not overly friendly, half of which were students sloughing off, and the other half retirees. Drainage water everywhere with stagnant scum. All water features were cloudy and full of pine needles. We will not return because there are far better camps with nice amenities for the same or less money. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Pop-up campers are treated poorly. Crammed into an open field with tents. No quiet time enforcement. Showers were disgusting, with standing water on floor of changing area. No air circulation in bathrooms. Toilet paper runs out at night and doesn't get refilled until 10 next morning. This was the 3rd time I have been here and it will be my last. The only saving grace for this campground is the water park. We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Tent Trailer.
