Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $24.00
We arrived after the Office had closed. The 'after-hour instructions' were clear so we had little trouble finding a site. The all-included shower-restrooms were big, and clean with plenty of hot water. On a cold January day, a more effective heater would have been appreciated. Although close to the Interstate, we were not bothered by road noise. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $24.00
Very convenient park. Easy off/on. Staff friendly. Some supplies, ice, snacks. Sites were not extremely level, especially front to back. There was highway noise, but that was expected, and we were situated so as to "watch" the traffic. Free Wi-Fi. Cable TV but we used our Dish. Would stay here again as overnight park. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $23.00
Nice place to overnight. There was some road noise, and some train noise but it wasn't all that bad. Convenient on, off I-20. There seems to be quite a few permanent residents but that seems to be the norm nowadays. The place was clean. We would stay there again. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Easy off and on I-20 to campground. Friendly and helpful staff. The sites in the back of the park are mostly permanent with short stays in long paved pulled through sites in the front. The noise from the interstate can be loud, but it didn't bother us. We did not use any facilities, so I can't report on them. Park is good for one or two nights. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $29.00
This is a nice place. The management was very accommodating when we had to delay our arrival a couple of days. Excellent cable and Internet connections. Sites were good size and relatively level. We arrived here in a steady rain storm and staff showed us to our site, didn't care if he got wet! He also brought us the cable channel guide, in the rain. Only negative, excessive highway noise as we were 150 yards from Interstate 20. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
This was a perfect campground for an overnight stay. The host was friendly and helpful. Signs led us off I-20 directly to the grounds. This campground had clean restrooms, strong WIFI, and cable TV. So, for the price, it was a good value. The site was easy to pull through and well-lighted. This was valuable since we arrived late in the evening. The road noise was not as bad as was described in another review, but it was evident. We plan to use this campground in the future. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $27.00
This RV park is a stone's throw off I-20, and the traffic noise is very loud. There is also a railroad nearby. Sites are fairly narrow and gravel. I wouldn't stay here again unless I absolutely had to. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $27.00
This is a very nice RV Park. We stayed here four days to visit with family in the area. We were greeted by a very friendly, professional staff and escorted to our site and asked if we needed help hooking up. A little road noise from I-20, but not too bad. We would definitely stop here again when in this area. We stayed here in a fifth wheel. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $26.00
Rate reflects our weekly rate of $180. Easy to find, enter, and set up. There is some highway noise as the park is close to the interstate. We liked it as a good base to see the sights in neighboring cities. Office personal were very helpful. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.

As inspectors we look at a variety of things. The site was level but very muddy from recent rains. The wireless was weak if it worked. Power was adequate and the staff was helpful if you can locate them, the office is closed most of the time. The road noise is terrible, even with the fan on! I have suggested a sound barrier wall, but the staff just laughed at me. She stated if the noise bothers you stay elsewhere, I guess she has a point. The park is still 98% Long term, (45 sites with 3 to 5 overnight sites) with a lot of clutter around the RV's, along with several FEMA trailers. The workers leave around 4:30 to 5:00AM and the trucks are loud, as soon as they hit the pavement they floor it, therefore you can tell it is that time. I am concerned that the high scoring reviews on this park show no more than two other reviews on file. That raises a RED Flag! Considering the current condition of the park, I am suspicious. Due to the number of overnight spaces and the overall space count this park does not qualify as a Good Sam Park. As they say Location, Location, Location! This is not the ideal location for an RV Park. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $30.00
This is my kind of park!! Easy on and off the highway. The staff was friendly. Getting into our site was a breeze and we have a 36ft travel trailer. The park is on service road to highway but I just kept my fan to the ON position to drown out the noise. Nicest RV Park showers that I have ever been into. They are single person and HUGE! Actually big enough for a wheel chair. The park has a nice home feel to it. We were invited to a cook-out in the park. The people were so friendly. We will return. They had great Wi-Fi and cable TV. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

As a last resort we stayed here, we read the last review and decided to give it a chance. Big mistake! We are in a 45' Zephyer towing a Jeep and it was very difficult, not only entering but the exit was made even more difficult due to the other residents not parking where they should be. Of the 50 sites, there are five overnight spaces. They are up front less than 50' from I-20, and less than 30' from a busy frontage road. The space that we were in was next to a person that got up at 4:30 AM, turned on the TV so loud that we could hear the morning weather reports. The sites are very close together. Between the excessive road noise, the very slow WiFi, the fact that this is not an RV Park but a long term parking lot for what appears to be workers, I would not stay here again. Now for the site specifics. The site was level, the power was good. The so called fitness center was very small had had a bad odor as if it has not been sanitized lately. The equipment was old and inoperative. The lady that greeted us was very nice but as soon as we checked in we never saw anyone again. The majority of the reviews are correct. There is a truck stop east on I-20, save your money and stay there. We always give a place a second chance, this was it! We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.
We were working in the area and therefore stayed in this park a week. We had ample opportunity to see the park and how it operates. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the park manager lives on site. We saw her personally parking people at 11 at night and their phone is answered 24 hours a day. Big plus in our book. The park has sites with trees and some in the open for satellite users. Previous posters have said there are only 1 or 2 sites available for overnights and they are only up front. This is not true. There were at least 7 or 8 sites available when we were here, both in front and in the back of the park, but they fill up quickly each day. We saw 45' MH towing a 20' trailer in one site with room left over for another RV. Those sites in the front are over 100' long. There are a lot of monthly renters but they are not all pipeliners. We met a sheriff, a pilot, a nurse, a carpenter and several retired folks. We were invited to a cookout the residents were having while we were here and made to feel extremely welcome. The park is getting lower scores because of the freeway, but there has to be a compromise if you want the easy on, easy off access to the freeway. It does get noisy at times, but our 5'ver is well insulated and it was not an issue for us. The train is over a mile away and seldom do you hear the whistle. All in all, this is a nice comfortable park with good amenities. We enjoyed the free WiFi and cable TV and the country setting. We will definitely stay here the next time we are working in the area. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We made a terrible mistake and failed to get reservations in Shreveport. This was the only park within miles that was available. The staff was nice enough, but the road noise was terrible! The overnight spaces are just a few feet from the interstate 20. Probably the worse night we have had in the four weeks we have been out. The park is really a full time park for the local pipeline workers. There are a few overnight sites, and they, as I stated before, are very close to the interstate. We should have gone on down the road to the Texas Visitor Center. Never again!! We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Motorhome.
