This remains a great place to overnight. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Our site was close and the tree branches needed trimming some, however this did make for a shady site on a very hot day. I pointed this out and the owner told me it was scheduled. I found no other places in the park where branches were an issue. We will definitely stay here again when traveling near the DFW area. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

On the outskirts of Dallas/Ft Worth which is what we wanted. If you're not used to the Freeway system in Texas be forewarned, it takes a little getting used to as frontage roads can easily be mistaken for on ramps. That is not any fault of the RV Park, juts be advised if you are like us from a different state. The park itself was run down with lots of full timers, but we did get a pull through. We arrived in a driving rain just as they were closing, the owner was nice enough to help us get set up (in the mud!) Wi-Fi was so poor it was not usable. Overall OK for a one night stay outside of a big city. Be careful of dangerous low branches, they're everywhere! We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Motorhome.

Located only 1 block off of I-20. It is very easy on and off the interstate. This is an excellent park for a short stay. The staff is very nice and helpful. Most of the sites are full timers. There is a nice grassy area for pets and a small clean fenced dog area. The sites are close together but adequate in size for a short stay. The pool seemed to be clean and is fairly large. There is definitely some road noise from the interstate. If passing through we would stay again. Cable TV did not work. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Passing through on the way to the east coast. First impression is a put off as it appears to be a little trashy but some of that is because you have to drive past all of the RV's being repaired. Spots are close together, but the property is very clean and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Spots are also gravel, but they are level. Definitely recommend if only need a 1 or 2 night stay. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a decent enough campground for an overnight stay. The staff was excellent. I inquired about a route to avoid Ft. Worth traffic as we wear heading north from I-20. The park owner showed us a route on a tertiary level road that was actually a very pleasant drive. I would have rated cleanliness higher but it seemed that some residents (long term, I think) didn't seem to think the pet rules applied to them for cleaning up after your pet. Another oberservation, like all KOA's they had a leash free dog park, however what was there was about 30'x30' and yet it was on the edge of an open field that was perhaps an acre. I would probably stay there again for an overnight as the staff made the stop worthwhile. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

It was easy to pull in to our site, even though there were trees. All of the sites are gravel and dirt, and some of the sites have grassy areas. When we arrived, I requested a site with grass, since we have two dogs. The owner was very accommodating, and found a spot for us with grass. There are red picnic tables at each site, which look freshly painted. It's an older park, with buildings that look pretty dated: think 1970's. It's okay for an overnight stay, with easy access from Interstate 20. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Motorhome.

The owner went over and above for us. Great man. He even found us another park so we could be closer to our son for the holidays. Sites are level but a little close. Easy on and off route 20. Also take it takes Good Sam. We will go back. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is more of a trailer park than an RV campground. The staff is nice enough, but we felt like we were in a scene from The Grapes of Wrath, with an entire park of unemployed oil field workers. If you're okay with that, by all means stay here. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Motorhome.

This is NOT a big rig friendly. This is a very old campground that had about 80% permanents or semi-permanents there. Most sites were so close, there were less than 3 feet between slides. We have a 36ft motorhome and had a terrible time finding a site that we could fit in due to trees and low hanging limbs. We asked the office staff for tree trimmers, but they didn't know if they had any and then couldn't find any. We would not stay here again. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Motorhome.

The management was friendly and helpful. Found out later he is the owner. He made us feel very welcome like guests should be treated. The restrooms were clean and spacious. They had lots of grassy areas, a playground for children and a clean pool. It's close to town and shopping. WiFi is included at no extra charge and works well. This would be a park that I would go back to again and could recommend. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

There were more permanent residents and storage RV's than over nighters. There was no Wi-Fi reception, as advertised. The pool, store, and lounge areas were nice. Easy on and off access from freeway. The ground sewer connection was higher than my RV sewer outlet, making it very difficult to dump. We camped here in a 5th Wheel. The owner of the park was very ignorant when we complained that we could not connect to Wi-Fi. Instead of trying to understand what the problem might be, he wanted to put the blame on our computer. Subsequent stays at other campgrounds revealed there was no problem with our computer. Would have rated our stay higher had it not been our encounter with the owner. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
