We just bought our first new camper, so this was the first time we had ever stayed at an RV Park. We needed lots of help setting up our camper and getting connected to utilities. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They escorted us to our site and spent 30 minutes helping us get set up. Our site had nice shade and we were close to the fenced dog walk. The restrooms and showers were very clean, and the swimming pool had a nice shaded deck where we could sit and watch our kids swim. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The town of West is famous for their kolaches. The shell gas station had a bakery inside that sold hot kolaches.

First RV park stay ever, so nothing to compare it to. We stayed one night with our 32' 5th wheel on the way home from the dealership picking it up. We got a pull-thru site way in the back, I think site G. Very easy in and out of the site & plenty of room to have truck parked in front of trailer. Utilities worked fine. We did not have a picnic table. The site was a bit un-level. The park is basically between 1-35 and a train track. At night, I think we heard the train more than the 1-35 traffic noise. There is a playground that is in acceptable condition. Check-in was easy (we had a reservation) and we followed the attendant to our spot - he asked if we needed any more help, but we declined. Women's bathrooms looked freshly painted (with wildflowers), but not updated. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I can't be too harsh on this park. Just before we arrived they suffered a lot of wind and rain damage from recent storms. The park was muddy but passable. Our site was up on the hill and was level. Initial the electrical service was tripping out. They corrected it immediately for us. There was no wifi. The system was blown down and they were waiting for the contractor to come and fix it. In better conditions this would be a nice little park with lots of vegetation. It had a grassed dog park. We would not hesitate to visit it again on a future trip south. It's conveniently right off the highway. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Motorhome.

Once a KOA now a Good Sam. Staff friendly and helpful. The roads are dirt/gravel, sites are not level (lots of pads). This park currently mostly occupied by pipeline workers. Sites are fairly well managed, and clean. Full time road noise from I-35 but not terrible. Bathrooms & laundry are clean. Would stay here again due to location between Waco and Dallas, without being in Dallas population. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Older park with gravel roads and tight turns. Sites are gravel also. Appears upgrades are in progress but facilities show wear and tear. Mens bathroom was not clean, womens was clean but had construction materials lying about. Upper bathrooms had no hot water. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

For an overnight stay on our way across country, we selected this park based on its 9/9/9 rating and our Good Sam membership (GS) and mapping tool. By no means did it meet a "GS" rating for a 9/9/9! When we arrived, we were given a site between 2 campers (with about 2 feet between each of us) that appeared to have been there a VERY long time. A roaming pit bull mix was making his way around each site unleashed - a serious concern given we had our 2 small elderly canines with us! By 1:15 am, we were awoken by next door partiers who decided to bring their partying outside no less than 3 different times underneath our bedroom slide only to keep us awake ALL night! With a 'Quiet time Policy" stated on the Park's paperwork, there was still no one to call, so we kindly asked our neighbors to quiet down. They apologized and finally took their 'party' inside. Be aware this park sits next to the highway with some road noise & at least 3 trains through the night. Have a call into the owner but haven't heard back from him. Very disappointed and sleepless in Texas.... We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

READ REVIEWS!! We tend to pay attention to the more positive ones, but in this case, we should have paid attention to the 'red' flags.

People running the place are very friendly and helpful, the price for the sites are great. Only downfall, The place itself is not very clean or kept up what so ever, dog park is full of poop, looks like there are people living here!! We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was easy to access from the freeway and the staff was very pleasant. The front restrooms were being renovated, but the facilities in mid park were very clean. This is a pretty park with lots of shade trees. They did not have cable. Wi-Fi was available but the signal was weak. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Motorhome.

Poor access from I-35 southbound due to construction. The park's interior roads are unpaved (i.e.dirt) and narrow. Pull through site we received was dirt, uneven and the connections were in a poor location for our 5th wheel. Could not hook up sewer even with 20 feet of hose due to poor location. Water and electric connections were nearly on the ground, they were so low. No Cable TV only over the air. WiFi was okay. Passcodes to Men's Rest Room did not work. Road and Train noise very evident. Very narrow bridge leading to the campground made it difficult to exit due to the length of our rig. Lots of old, sketchy looking RV's in the park. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our site had a 30 amp plug in. It was rusted. After we plugged in and turned on the breaker there were crackling and popping noises. There were holes on the electrical box where other circuit breakers had been removed. The bathroom had 2 individual personal "bathrooms". One bathroom had no lights. Just a hole on the wall where the light switch had been. One tiny roll of TP. The other "bathroom" had no door handle and appeared to be closed. The bridge leading to our campsite was missing a guard rail with broken concrete along the edges. And the exit leading on to the road had a huge pothole. The WiFi was non-existent. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Motorhome.

OK for overnight. Very nice at check-in. Park has lots of deferred maintenance and not much attention to detail. Fenced dog park (a favorite amenity) had overflowing waste can. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Check in easy. Office worker was friendly and escorted us to our site. We were at the back of the park which we thought would be quieter with all of the interstate construction. Wrong. The trains run across the back of the park. The construction does make it difficult to get to the park at this time. It will get better in the future. Interior roads are rutted and rugged due to recent rains. Wi-Fi was completely inoperable though we were told we would have great service. We do not have plans to stay here again at this time. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived mid afternoon following the directions on the web page. Some tight turns for our 40'er from the highway onto frontage road and then again once in the park. We did have a good place to park up on the hill, but the park is very compact. Roads and sites were gravel; we did not have a table nor much of anywhere to put out chairs. Showers were clean but not spectacular. Staff was very nice and very helpful. We found some interesting places to visit in Waco and a great BBQ place a few miles north of the park. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Motorhome.

When we checked in, we were shown to our site. Our kids 5 and 3 enjoyed the shady playground. There were no mosquitoes even though there was water nearby. Very clean and quiet park. Friendly staff. Great for a stay when visiting the West and Waco area. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

While I agree that it is potentially a pretty park, we were given a space that had no shade, was directly in the hot sun. Even if we were only staying for one night, it would have been nice to have been given a nicer space. The Wi-Fi was slow and there was no cable TV. They listed that all about 6 channels were available, however we only got three. One was ABC soap opera, one was a Spanish channel and the third was a weather channel. We would probably look for another place to stay the next time. We camped at Waco North RV Park in a Tent Trailer.
