Lovely 3 night stay! While close to the highway our site was noise free and right across from a dog area. There are three dog areas in the park which was nice. The landscape was very nice and the roads and RV sites well maintained. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Motorhome.

Although the people were very nice, this was about the ugliest place to spend the night I've ever seen. There was no grass, no landscaping--just gravel, loud highway noise all night and industrial lights. It was depressing and I was very glad to only have to stay one night. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be careful about getting on and off the highway. Lots of construction and the access roads were confusing.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We found out on our return trip that the park is also a Passport America park. Park is large, with many long-term residents. There are two areas set aside for short-term travelers. Sites at the front are fairly short; it is necessary to unhook if you are towing. Interior roads are fairly narrow - navigating can be quite close if vehicles are parked too close to the road. Sites in the back are new - spaces are plenty long, but there is no landscaping or picnic table. All utilities at our site worked well. Wifi was fair. The best part about this park is the office staff. They are friendly and very helpful. There is a great deal of construction in the Marsha Sharp Freeway area at this time, so getting around can be slow and challenging. This is a clean park that seems to be well-managed, and we will stay here again. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Motorhome.

First, the good: Close in to town (Lubbock), easy access in & out, easy check in, plenty of room to maneuver & park-set up, easy.

The bad: Dirty showers (hair & soap scum everywhere), bathroom disgusting, WiFi was extremely poor. We called the office to comment, and were told it was because of the wind (I guess the wind there blows those internet waves around like dust, eh?) and because of people streaming. OK, at around 8PM, I can kind of understand that but at 7:15AM? And even if that's the case, for essentialy a cleared caliche parking lot with hook-ups, at $30/night, shouldn't the wifi be at least adequate?

Laundry was $2/load both washer & dryer so to wash and dry one load, $4.

The site photos are misleading at best... the RV park reminds me of an oil field supply business with an office and a large, cleared, caliche parking lot filled with equipment.

But again... it provided us with easy access to town & full hook-ups... a step above staying at a truck stop for the night and as with a truck stop, there was no fire ring, patio table - nothing, nada, zilch for $30/night. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Typical RV Park Owner is friendly and accommodating, Wi-Fi works well. It is well kept. The owner came through while we were there and asked how things were going. The guy behind us who is a long term person said she comes through often. Appears to be dog friendly, they have a small dog run. They don't have ice, so if you need it there is a convenience store just a few blocks away. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were in the back, new area, and it was very roomy. Nice and easy to park and exit. Pull thru had plenty of room for 44' motorhome and car pulled up after unhooked. No trees in the way. The streets are nice flat gravel. Friendly person at check in. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Motorhome.

A solid 8+ park just on the outskirts of Lubbock. Level, easy access and reasonably long pull thrus. Very wide interior roads. Number of long term residents but all was clean and orderly. Would definitely stay here again when in Lubbock. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground sits off four lane highway. Traffic noise is minimal. If you are unfamiliar with the "highway loop" system you may have some difficulty exiting highway system to locate entrance (it is on the service road). This campground is in close proximity to our family living in Lubbock, and we do stay here multiple times a year. The park does have minimal tree shade. It also does offer long-term stays. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We have a 33 foot 5th-wheel and tow with a crew cab. We found that if we backed in at an angle our nose did not impede on interior road. It was tight, but manageable.

The sites in this park for short-term stays are wide, level, and gravel with a nice grass buffer between sites. They are long enough to park the tow car behind. We were in Site 12 at the front of the park, close to the highway. There is noise, so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a site elsewhere in the park. Park is very clean and all grass is neatly mowed and trimmed. The roads in the park are adequate, but not wide. Office staff was friendly. Everything worked well except the wifi, which was sporadic. We enjoy this park and will overlook the wifi and choose this park again. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is easy to access and maneuver within. Sites and interior roads are level gravel. There is no shade but some sites are separated by grassy areas. Proximity to the highway results in nonstop road noise. Basic utilities are good but wi-fi is incredibly slow. AT&T phone service is good at the park but data service is only fair. The price reflects a Passport America discount. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were assigned a spacious pull-thru site. It was very long with above-average spacing between the units. The park itself was exceptionally quiet during our 2-night stay. Staff was very friendly and the bathrooms were very clean. The only reasons I didn't give it a 10 is the highway noise is fairly noticeable and the dog run fences are a bit short for large dogs (ours could jump over easily if they wanted to). I'm just being nitpicky, though. :) Overall it's a great place. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

As of Oct 2015, Google Maps will try to navigate you to the wrong location. The park is on the northbound frontage road of Hwy 82, about 1/2 mile south of 7100/82nd St. Google tries to send you about 1.5 miles farther south on Hwy 82.
