Park is not a resort. It provides basic services. Sites were fairly level but did require use of blocks under tires. Road through park had pot holes and needs repaving. Restroom near front entrance recently rebuilt and is also used as storm shelter. Made from concrete and can get very hot during day. No sewer connections but dump station outside gate. Gate closes at 10 pm. Cannot drive into park after that time. We camped at East Fork COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Do not even know where to begin. Stayed there two weeks. No bathrooms and no showers most of our stay. Took shower one night and was standing in raw sewage. Their solution was to drive 6 miles to nearby park to use restroom and shower. WHAT? One couple who works office very nice and helpful. Other couple leaves a bit to be desired. Actually shut the gate bar down on top of our vehicle. Was a mistake, but... This is an Army Corp park and I went up the chain of command regarding deplorable condition of restrooms. They apologized but that was it. Maintenance was more concerned with making sure we were not parking on the grass rather than get bathrooms functioning. Weather has taken a huge toll on this park but at least let your campers know there is no bathrooms. No sewer hookup either, so you full timers can only imagine. Never mowed around site either. In 1.5ft of grass whole time. We camped at East Fork COE in a Travel Trailer.

Been staying here the past 5 years and have seen this park deteriorate terribly. For some reason the Corps does not put any money into the operations or maintenance. Grass is only mowed 3-4 times a year, 3 large 20' diameter potholes have been getting worse over the last 3 years. Last time I had to drive out against the one way traffic to avoid them...sad. The entire road system needs replacing, along with re-grading to eliminate water around water and electric pedestals. A new bathroom/ storm shelter has recently been installed, perhaps solving the bath issue, but there's never any money to maintain anything. Tree limbs block road access unless you want to be scratched. The manager is now imposing the 14 day rule, so campers have to leave after 2 weeks, so the park sits virtually empty 'till the next public holiday. Why would anyone want to chase campers out so there's no revenue? Answer: Fed. Gov't campgrounds. It's now so bad I had to leave and find another place. Don't want to go back, even though this place used to have so much to offer. Camp here at your own risk! We camped at East Fork COE in a Motorhome.

Only place on lake I found open. Elderly staff were helpful, friendly, not nosy. Yes, the road was not paved in campground, had to use community dump, but value nonetheless to have a safe place to stay. Walmart was less than five miles away and Wylie had most usual stores early. The lake was a five minute walk from my site. As Plano lacks an urban rv park, this is a good alternative. Lot #3. We camped at East Fork COE in a Travel Trailer.

The park has gone down hill over the past years. Roads are bad enough to damage Rig and vehicles. Grass is not being mowed. Boat launch is (and has been) closed, nothing wrong with launch, just to lazy to collect fees. Just leveled their big bathroom and shower. Even the grills are trash. It used to be a nice park. Sites are now unlevel and rain accumulates, badly Will not stay again. $30 is high for no sewer hook ups and no other amenities. We camped at East Fork COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We lived four miles from this park before going full-time. Always stop here for our doctor visits, and to see kids/ grandkids.

Very spacious, on flat area which doesn't drain well after heavy rains. Be careful - many sites are depressed and flood. Won't damage your rig, but you will get your feet wet.

After spring 2015 floods, day use area is closed.

As one of the four highest priced COE parks in Texas, falls short on my value scale. Previous project to rebuild restrooms and add sewer hookups - which was stopped several years ago - might be restarted in 2016 according to park hosts, local COE office. I'll wait and see.

As mentioned above - park roads are horrible and getting worse. COE had millions of dollars of flood damage in Texas in 2015. I don't see how they will get to projects like fixing huge pot-holes soon.

Road from TX-78 to park is also getting worse. Collin County and City of Wylie each have short stretches of the road and neither is planning to fix their part. Heavy truck traffic for nearby water plant and KSC RR facility doing more damage daily. We camped at East Fork COE in a Travel Trailer.

The sites at this campground are wonderfully spacious and adequately level. Check in was easy and the employees very nice. The bathrooms must be the original ones making them dark, dank, smelly, and virtually unusable. Since this is a w/e only park, being able to use the restroom would be a plus. One of the major problems with this park is the road. There has been no repairs completed in a long time. It is very much like trying to drive through a mine field but you cannot be successful in missing the incredibly large holes. These do no even qualify as potholes they are so large. The other problem is people living here. While there is a limit to the number of nights one can stay, all you have to do is extend. These sites are trashy, with debris spilling out all around the rig. There is a gate, but it is left open at night for people to simply drive in. Could be a beautiful park, and it is close to Dallas. You would think a government owned park would be better maintained. We camped at East Fork COE in a Motorhome.

Nice park with very large sites, especially if you are on the outer ring. Parking and navigating through the park are a breeze, but there are some horrendous potholes on the way in. No wifi, but cell service was excellent. Not a bad place to stay to visit Dallas from. The grass was all dead, but it was otherwise a pretty park with a nice lake and swimming area. Not many trees. My main problem with this park was it was invaded every morning until about noon by swarms of gnats. They were so thick, there was no way to keep them out if you opened your door. They weren't so bad one morning when it was cold, so it may just be they show up when its hot out. They really curtailed my enjoyment of this park. We camped at East Fork COE in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are very large and come with a covered picnic table. Sites are paved and level and come with water and electric, no sewer. There is a dump station at park entrance.

We were in site 26. This is a very quiet campground and very relaxing. Was very convenient sightseeing in the Dallas area and close to South Fork Ranch (Dallas tv show fame).shopping is close by as well as numerous eateries.

the campground hosts were very friendly and from what we heard, the campground will be getting new restrooms and shower houses as well as new paved roads soon.

We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We camped at East Fork COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 10 days while awaiting the finalization on the sale of our house nearby. The site itself was not too bad, no overgrowth, clean, fairly level. The was the only COE park in the area with 50 amp hookups. The road inside the park is in major disrepair with numerous potholes. There ARE bathroom and shower facilities, but they were not very clean and poorly maintained overall. Only two restroom facilities in the park (of the 7 total) had showers in them, which made most people a fair distance from the showers. Poor lighting in and outside all the bathrooms/showers. We would be hesitant to stay here again in the future. We camped at East Fork COE in a Motorhome.

The park was quiet, we were on site #21, which was level and had a great view of the lack, which was 100% full. we didn't use the bathrooms/showers, so i can't comment on that. water and electric only, no sewer. there is a dump station right outside the gate when you leave. overall a nice park, the only issues i had were the HUGE potholes in the road, and the un-mowed grass. while the grass had been mowed directly around the sites, it was very tall everywhere else, due to recent heavy rains. this contributed to a large amount of mosquitoes. the sites are well spaced, and each one has a covered concrete picnic table. not a bad option if you need a place to camp in the northeast metroplex. We camped at East Fork COE in a Travel Trailer.

This used to be a nice campground, but it has gone steadily downhill in the past few years. Rest rooms/showers are open again, after at least 18 months closure, but they are really very bad. There's no way to really clean facilities like this. We stay here because there is nowhere else near our family in Garland/Plano area. We camped at East Fork COE in a Motorhome.

Bath houses have not been available for over a year! Port-a-potties only and no showers available. Gate keepers are nice but challenged to do the job efficiently. Gates left up while attendants are in rigs, providing no security in park. Trees need trimming, brushes against side of rig while driving into and out of park. We camped at East Fork COE in a Motorhome.

Good COE Park. Well maintained grounds. Restrooms were closed for renovation during our stay. Large sites. Only a few, small trees. We were in back-in site #13 and it had a tree on west side for afternoon shade. Good water pressure and quality. Good 50A service. Central dump station only. Staff informed me that future plans are to install sewer at all sites. Paid $30/ night, which is high for the area for a park with these services. The park is convenient for visiting north east Dallas. We might stay here again. We camped at East Fork COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a nice clean campground. Very quiet and peaceful. We had a nice level site with beautiful views of the lake. We arrived late and paid for two nights. Then we found out they had no bathrooms or showers and only port a potty's that needed cleaning. I did end up finding a bathroom that was unlocked but it was dirty with bugs and spiders everywhere. My girls were afraid to use it. They don't have sewer hookups, so this made things difficult for our family of five. We may return one day if they open up the bathrooms and clean them. We camped at East Fork COE in a Travel Trailer.
