We really enjoyed our stay here, in fact we were originally only going to do an overnight but opted to stay a second day. The owner greeted us, personally walked us over to our site, and then took us out to his private storage area to show us his vintage car, a 1961 Studebaker!

As others have said, this is a VERY rustic park, but that is by design. The owners have worked very hard to make it look like an old western mining town. There are only five available sites for travelers and the rest are full timers, but even those had implemented the rustic look to their yards and storage areas. The showers were hot with good water pressure, which was a welcome change from the State Park we had just come from. We had good cell coverage with Verizon but note, there is no wifi and there is no cable or over the air TV which did not bother us. Site 1 is a little tighter than 2-5. We were not able to open our awning, but could have probably remedied that by adjusting the position of our tow vehicle.

We will definitely stay over again if traveling through. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a restaurant on site called Maria's which had pretty good Mexican food for Utah. We found it convenient because we travel with a bulldog which makes going out for dinner complicated. We were able to walk 100 yards eat and still be close enough to our trailer in case there was an issue. Their prices were reasonable and the service was friendly.

This small park was good for an overnight stay on our way through Utah. Most of the guests stay for the whole summer season. There are only a few overnight spaces available. Our pull-through site allowed us to stay hooked up. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As others have said, this place is rustic - but a charming rustic. There appears to be only a few sites for overnighters so make sure to get there before the end-of-day rush since they do not take reservations. Each site has a covered picnic table. Most of the sites are fulltimers/ seasonal and everyone was real friendly. It was fun to just walk around and see how homey they made their sites. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We did eat at Maria's and had a great meal. It has only 9 tables so fills up with locals. All of the food is home-made. Although we did not drive around, they say there are several lakes up the road with very good fishing.

Came into camp and decided to look first. What a mess. Lots of year round residents, junk, trash, couches sitting outside, etc. There is no way I would stay here after looking. The site I was offered had food trash on the ground, bananna peels, etc. Looks like a haven for rats mice, snakes etc. Sewer hook ups were at the front of the site making it impossible to hook up to. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rustic place, with tons of personality. Most of the park is full time residents, but its a charming place, not a typical trailer park. Getting in and out was a little tight, but not horrible. The site was unlevel side to side, and the utilites not convenient for an unhitched travel trailer. Great bargain at the PA rate. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is rustic. Not rustic meaning beat up but log cabin type fixture around the park. The people were very friendly and the restaurant was very good. The people from town were coming in to eat. PA park good stop for the night. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just stayed overnight, lots of full time residents, but all very friendly. Campground has a personality all its own. Lots of trees, site picnic tables partially enclosed to look like a cabin. Campground rustic. We would stay here again. Marias mexican restaurant on site, very good. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a good stopping point as we travel to and from the Salt Lake City area. The Passport America rate of $13.50 makes it worth the stop and we stay for only one night. A lot of permanent residents give new meaning to the phrase, "trailer park trash." Some of the sites are disgusting. No over-the-air TV reception and no cable TV. No Wi-Fi but the Verizon air card signal was good. My site was 30 amp but the electric pedestal had no breaker so I had to carefully manage my power. If I tripped the breaker, I didn't know where to go to reset it. If I had to pay full price, I would consider finding another campground. I did give this place an extra point for its restaurant. Neat and clean. Great Mexican food at affordable prices. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate is an average of what we paid for our stay. At the time of this review, the park accepts Passport America for two nights ($13.50 per night), $27 otherwise, and we stayed six nights. This is an eclectic park (you just have to see it for yourself), the first of its type we've encountered in our four years of full-timing. The available transient sites are full hook-up, but I believe all sites are 30 amp electric only. There was no circuit breaker on the electric box. Sites are gravel as are interior roads. Our coach is heavy and our front leveler punched through the gravel, but we were able to level with a few stackable plastic pads. We are a 40' motor home and had no problem with the entry or exit, or towing to the space we were assigned. We were towing our Saturn Vue upon entry and exit to the park. Verizon data wasn't as fast as when being near the larger cities, but it was satisfactory. There are fields adjacent to the park where you can walk pets. There is a laundry room with at least four washers/dryers, an iron and ironing board. The owner was working in the park each day we were there - putting gravel in spaces, re-seeding/watering the grass, etc. We had two delicious meals as Maria's Cocina while staying at the park. We enjoyed our stay and will return if passing through the area. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you are looking for a cookie-cutter RV "resort" this isn't the place. But if you are seeking something a bit out of the ordinary, with a huge dose of personality and charm, it is hard to imagine you could do better. It is a family run campground, where the husband offers a tour of his car collection (including a Studebaker Hawk) and the wife runs a charming Mexican restaurant on the site. The food it great and the hospitality first rate. The park is well cared for, tho heavy on the rustic side and the one full-timer we met was very friendly. We'll be back next time we are in the area.

The sites are adequate, but may be tight for a big rig, tho the streets are wide enough to get into them. There is no cable or wifi, but our ATT link worked just fine. Restrooms were clean, but also reflect the age of the park. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Beaver is an older community of some charming homes. We are kayak paddlers so we took a15-minute drive to the local reservoir for a brief paddle before an excellent dinner at Maria's on site.

Very quiet at night; we found the full timers very friendly. Very easy check in; sites were all level- each has its own little cabana or shaded/sheltered area with pic-nick table; we didn't use the laundry or restroom, but did walk through- very well maintained; park personnel were constantly visible and busy maintaining the grounds, yet very quiet- very helpful. We enjoyed the quietness and friendliness....easy to find.................. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The rate reflects a Passport America rate. The only reason I didn't give this campground a higher rating is that there is no cable TV or Wi-Fi. The bathrooms and showers are clean, the staff is friendly, and there is an excellent small Mexican restaurant on site that serves authentic Mexican food that is wonderful! It is run by the owner's mother, who has been cooking for over 25 years and she knows her stuff. The service was also great. There are a lot of permanent residents. There are some shaded pull-through spots with covered picnic tables. A laundry is available with reasonable prices. I would definitely stay there again if traveling through. It is about a mile off I-15 and is easy to reach. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. As stated by other reviewers, the campground is of an older style. It does not offer many of the amenities the newer RV sites have today. (I "boondock" it a lot, so it isn't a bother to me.) It is, however, clean and quiet, with a very friendly staff, who are more than willing and able to assist you. The on-site restaurant (Maria's) was most excellent. I highly recommend going there. We camped at Beaver Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Price was with Passport America Discount. It was like going back to 1950, and not in a good way. No credit cards. On site restaurant was ok, but not great. They were closing for the season. Nothing to do in the town and had to go to McDonalds to get internet access. Only had electric hook up because they had already winterized everything including showers and bathrooms. We prepaid for 2 nights, but was able to find the owner to get one night back so we could leave after the first night. Best part was seeing deer everywhere in the morning.
