A great location for us to explore the region. The staff is friendly and told us great places to eat in town. Good grocery, Clark’s, down the street. We had a back in spot that looked far off at Mountains. Much better than other rv park in town. We have a 36’ motorhome. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed only one night and didn't expect much in this area of Utah, which is somewhat sparse. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and value. Sites were nice level gravel, most with large grassy areas, many with at least small shade trees. It looked like the campground was adding more sites and common areas with grass. There were beautiful sunset views of the open Utah landscape to the west. Restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. This is a good place to stay on Route 191 between Monument Valley and Moab. Note that the entrance is on the north end of the campground if entering from the south. Site 10 had a large grass area and a little shade. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

They have back-in sites and also pull through. They have tent sites as well. FHU; electric was good and water quality good. Nice laundry room with 2 washers & 2 dryers. Restrooms nice. Sites are gravel with a small patch of grass and cement walkway; other sites are just gravel with no grass. They are doing a lot of upgrading. No full time people but they may have some workampers. They offer internet but I had my Jetpack which I used instead; no cable. TV Antenna OK - point north and you get about 25 stations, but they are iffy. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to Blanding Visitor Center for Info; Natural Bridges National Monument; Valley of the Gods drive beautiful (gravel and a bit rough with washes and ruts; needs good 4 wheel drive but we did see some ordinary cars going through); Dinosaur Museum in Blanding a must see; Mexican Hat where Forrest Gump stopped running.

This park surprised me totally. As you drive South from Moab, the majority of the rv parks along the highway are dumps; no pride in ownership, take it or leave it attitude. This park is redoing the landscape and it looks beautiful. Site #10 was level gravel and about 65' long. The owner was great, and no long term trashy trailers were present. Everything worked very well here and we'd stay here again.. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here a month, hence the rate, and it was a superb property currently being beautified. They are strategically planting ground cver, trees, and shrubs. WiFi was one of the best and most reliable on the road yet. People were sweet and helpful. Laundry a little pricey but worth it for the size of the washers. Site was spacious and parking more than ample right next to our site. Would definitely stay here again. THe proximity to literally hundreds of great hikes into ruin-filled canyons was awesome. IMHO, a better place to stay than any in Moab which do not offer monthly rates and are otherwise over-priced. Easy drives to Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods, Canyonlands, Newspaper Rock, Hovenweep and more. Easy access to Mt. Abajo and forest hiking. Great level site and charcoal cooker provided. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Another day another ruined. This is a DRY town, stock up on your booze choices before coming. Nearest liquor store - such as it is - is Monticello and prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Stock up your larder too. One grocery in town - Clarke's - and it is way subtandard and lacks good fresh choices for produce.

Overall Rating:

As with the southern Utah RV parks we have recently stayed in on this trip, the park was a lot busier in October than it was in 2012. Still, we were able to get a FHU, pull through site that was satellite friendly (good because there is no cable TV). Even with a fairly full park, the Wi-Fi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. This is basic park that is very well kept with good facilities. The bathrooms were clean and adequate for this size park. There are no recreational amenities. Typical of this region, I saw no recycling. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice, clean RV park that we used as a base camp for exploring Native American ruin sites. The staff was very helpful with directions, etc. Many of the sites are on the "buddy" system meaning that the pull throughs faced each other and had utilities grouped together. This made for a nice, large outdoor living space on the door side of the RV but it also put the drivers sides very close together. All the hookups worked fine and Verizon signal was good. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here before, and it is still good as ever. Very clean, nice wide, smooth gravel roads, good people. The park is on a gentle hillside, but the sites are pretty level. Most of the pull-troughs are "buddy sites" where 2 sites next to each other face opposite directions, with doors facing each other. They are not real wide, but there is room for slides without a problem. Verizon cell and internet worked here. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

No cable but tv adequate. Stayed in older park in monticello - that one had cable but units were almost touching slides. This park is open and very easy to stay in with large Rv. I'm happy I moved, although the people were ok at other park

Great little park - not close to much, but in the middle if you're heading N (Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, town of Moab) or SW (Natural Bridges National Monument, Monument Valley). No cable TV, but abundance of digital local TV stations (plus a nearby Redbox at the grocery store). Owners were great with us, finding accommodations when we arrived a day early, and giving us a refund when we bugged out a day early (due to upcoming weather). Maintenance personnel were always out tidying up the park. Office store didn't have much in the way of RV supplies or food, focusing instead on Indian arts and crafts. If in the area, we'd stay here again. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cheapest place for gas (20¢ a gal less) is White Mesa Travel Center, which is about 10 miles S of Blanding. Patio Drive Inn is a great place for lunch (and their milkshakes are to die for). If driving from Natural Bridges to Monument Valley >in your toad<, you HAVE to take Utah 261! You're driving along for miles and suddenly you're at the edge of a huge bluff, with a narrow, gravel switchback road taking you down to the valley below. Absolutely amazing!

We enjoyed our stay here in 2013 that we are back. The campground is clean and neat. We had a back-in site in the back row so had a great view out over the Comb. There a are quite a few pull-through sites some with trees and grass up front. A beautiful gift store in the office. Our site had a picnic table. There is so much to do in this area. Hiking the Mule Canyons, Kane Gulch, seeing all the ruins and petroglyphs in the area, Natural Bridges, the Fort Museum in Bluff, Valley of the Gods, Goosenecks, Moki Dugway, Muley Point or you can drive further afield and get up to Canyonlands and Newspaper Rock. Drive the Comb with its wealth of ruins and petroglyphs. Your car will get dirty here. But that's the point. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice RV Park. Nice, long pull-thru sites and back-ins. Trees in some pull-thru sites. Quiet at night even tho it is on a main road. Laundry is very clean, and they have a wonderful Trading Post with loads of items like rugs, pottery, and jewelry. Very nice staff. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect stop for seeing Natural Bridges, Monument Valley, Canyonland, Newspaper Rock, and Bears Ears National Monument. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Clark's Grocery is great - all the necessary items are available and a deli and bakery. Other than that, Blanding is bland! Not much here. A bank or two and some businesses. RV Park was great and in a good location. Lots of stars at night.

This is a well located, very nice, basic campground. The upper spots have grass, while the lower ones are all gravel. The upper spot pull thrus are paired, so that you are on top of your neighbor, yet you have your own grassy area on the other side and it still feels private. The owners keep the campground in terrific condition, well graded, clean, and landscaped. It has very good dog walking areas. Although it is right on UT 191, there was minimal truck noise. The owner is very helpful, providing us with recommendations and maps. We stayed an extra night and would definitely return. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed at Blue Mountain for a month as a hub for Utah beauty in all directions. Natural Bridges National Monument, Moki Dugway, Monument Valley, Arches, Canyonlands, Moab, & Cortez, Co. are all daily adventures nearby. Owner and staff work tirelessly from sunrise to sunset, to maintain a well-kept park. All the personnel are friendly, and willing to give you information about the area. As well, Blanding has a visitors center with a full range of maps & information. The only drawbacks to our monthly stay in Blanding were limited dining options, as well as a solo grocery store. We enjoyed the peacefulness of Blue Mountain, and will be looking forward to returning one day! We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.
